Horrible Business. Run as fast as you can. No call back or communication. THEY DONT CARE.

I ordered a framed print (Approximatley 200.00). Since it had not arrived within 2 weeks past the due date, I sent an email to ask where it was. I got a return email saying they just finished it yesterday. It arrived with large dark spots similar to ink on the matting. I even sent them a picture of it. I was working with a gentleman in Customer Service to get it resolved, which took 7 days to even get a label. He kept telling me he had emailed the return label to me. I told him that I was having a problem with my printer but I did not get the email with the label. He said he would have the mailing service print one and pick up the package. I called the mail delivery service after 6 days and I even went to one of their offices at a different time to confirm he had set it up. They knew nothing about this return. After 14 emails and also some phone calls I was actually afraid to send the print back. I emailed him and said that I would take care of it on this end because I had enough. He replied in a simple email saying «Okay, thanks for your business» with no concern. I later called him and asked why any business would send a print out with marks on it. I also confirmed that I would not be sending it back. He told me sometimes that just happens and no one did it on purpose. As I was talking to him about his comment he hung the phone up on me. As many times as I have called any of the business numbers I always get the same person so I am assuming it is a very small business. I am very disappointed to be honest about it.

I bought an art print from
. The website described the print as being 24 ¼ by 36 inches (paper size). When it arrived, the paper size was actually 20 ¾ by 36 inches. This 2 ½ inch difference in the height of the paper means it does not fit the frame intended for it. The print was also of awful quality. A friend owns the same print, but bought it from a gallery and they are like 2 entirely different prints. Because
misrepresented the size of the print, I contacted them about arranging a return and requested that they refund both the purchase price and the price of shipping. The person I talked to, Bob, said they would consider it when they got the print back, and when I pressed him on it, he very rudely said they would certainly not refund any shipping costs, even if it was falsely advertised. He refused to transfer me to anyone else and claimed he was the only person who works for
and he gives the final answer and even if I called back, I couldn’t speak to anyone else. He said he didn’t care about providing customer service and didn’t care if I filed a BBB complaint and hung up on me. I have never encountered such atrocious customers service. Not only was the item not what it was represented to be in size and of generally poor quality, but the company was incredibly rude and didn’t care about customer service at all.

I bought 2 Mort Kunstler pieces online, one of which from
. As I’m new to purchasing art, let me explain a little bit about how my situation worked. From what I can tell, Mort Kunstler sells his pieces on his website and then certain approved art sellers. The list price is always the same if you buy from his online site or one of the approved sellers. In this situation, he no longer how the piece I wanted available online, but Texas Art Depot did. The online order went smoothly. There was no immediate email confirmation leading me to believe the actual confirmation is manual the next day. never I received an email the piece was being shipped Fedex. Now, here is where it get a little interesting. I couldn’t get an actual FedEx number (they never gave it to me, which I thought was weird in the 21^st century. However, I think there is a very specific reason why. Mort Kunstler actually mails the piece from his office in PA. Basically, I think Mort keeps the pieces but the other galleries have some (maybe just 1) and then are allocated a certain number, though they actually stay in PA. I’m new to art, I’m not sure how common this is. In the end, I was taking a nap and the FedEx arrived late Saturday afternoon with the piece. I was home and signed for it. This is my estimation of the process. Hopefully it will help other potential art buyers to understand what happens out there. Of course, I don’t know how common this is.
The piece is beautiful, was wrapped very well, and arrived in 5 days. If they gave confirmation the piece has been shipped, I would give it 4 stars. If they gave confirmation the piece was being shipped and a Fedex number, I would give it 5 stars.
