Rodiez’s Running Store

I used to go this place. Now, I go to Performance Running Outfitters. If you go to Rodiez’s, it is like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes you will get someone competent; other times it will be a nightmare.

I needed a good pair of running shoes, since I wore out my last set in marathon training. The employee was really helpful, recommending certain shoes and explaining how they would be better for my foot shape compared to others. He didn’t overwhelm me with choices, but let me start with 4, and had me run on their mini-​track. He explained how the brands differ, and what to expect from each. I got one of the pairs he recommended, and was very pleased with the transaction.

These guys are AWESOME. I have been going here for my last 4 or 5 pair of running shoes. A few weeks ago, I branched out and bought a pair that was quite a bit different from the style I had been accustomed to running in. They simply were not working out and my body was feeling it. I called on a whim, with very low expectations, as I’d run in the shoes about 6 times. I asked about their return/​exchange policy and to my surprise, they said they’d try to work something out. The next day I came in and received excellent service from Scott. He grabbed me the pair I wanted and then came back saying that he could swap them for me, as if they were an even exchange. The first pair was a little pricier, but I did not mind losing $ 20 for a pair of shoes that would work well for my body. Thank you Rodiez’s for having great customer service! I am talking about you!

I have heard so much great things about this store!
If you want running shoes, you need to go there! They will measure your foot and find the exact pair that is best for you! They have a great selection!

I had the complete opposite.
I walked in and a woman said «How can I help you»
I replied, «I need some running shoes»
I was expecting a full sizing and going over my shoe, etc and all she did was reply «what size are you?»
I gave her my size and she said «Let me go look» and she came back and said «we only have one pair in the store of your size.»
One pair?
I tried it on, it seemed to fit well, but I sure wasn’t about to spend $ 120 on a pair with only trying on one shoe, of a color I didnt like.
They did offer to order me a shoe and bring it into the store — said it would take about a week.

I had no idea of what I wanted. The gal that took care of me was so patient. I’m not a runner but I felt like I could at least do a block in the shoes she brought out to me. I also love that every shoe was laced nicely. Saved me time and irritation. Great people and product. Will go there again to get my next pair.

THESE GUYS ARE PROS. I’m in the market for a cross-​trainer shoe, one that I can run in and that will also fit my bike pedal straps. Most running shoes are too wide. I also didn’t want to spend $ 100+ on a pair of shoes that the Wisconsin weather would render dirtier than Cinemax after the Twilight series has concluded at around 1AM. I overhead the the owner and employees rapping about various area races and participants. These guys are for real. I couldn’t find a shoe in my preferred style and size (11.5 if you read my reviews) but I’ll be back every six months to check out Rodiez’s stock of shoes. FOUND ON: A side street of 108^th street. HALF TEMPTED: To ask for a discount if I could beat one of their employees in a foot race down this side street. I’m 34: I still have that competitive spirit I had running cross country and track in high school. RODIEZ’S REMINDS ME IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO RACE.

I went here to get a pair of running shoes for school.
I have never done anytime of running before. The staff her worked with me for almost half an hour. Measuring my foot, checking how I run and how my foot sits to get me the best fit possible. After getting me about 13 pairs of shoes to try on, I found my pick. They did not even mention pricing, or try to add anything on to my sale. They even gave me 15% off because it was for a class.
I can’t wait to go back again. This place is like a gem of West Allis.

Great, Great, GREAT! I love this place. My first interaction was many years ago when I started training for a half marathon, I happened upon this store, and had such a great experience that I have since brought everyone I know (looking for running shoes) there to shop. The staff is knowledagle, helpful, and best part; never rush you. I think that last time I was there with a friend, she tried on at least 15 pairs.
I started buying my running shoes online, but have since stopped to continue to support this great store and friendly staff. If only all businesses could take a page from you.

Rodiez’s is a specialty running store for the running enthusiast. It’s great that these stores still exist (Rodiez’s just celebrating 26 years in business) for when you need some expert advice, tailored for your mileage, budget, and personal preferences.
I had a gift certificate to burn here, and was glad, too. Running shoes have gotten a lot more expensive than when I was running Cross Country in High School, 25 years ago! The young gentleman that helped me out was great at showing me some shoes for my price preference, and asked me questions about my mileage, what I currently wear, etc. Great service, here!
I ended up paying more than I expected to, just because I wanted some lighter/​faster shoes. But I would definitely return to Rodiez’s, and highly recommend them for the casual runner, and enthusiast, alike.

I have bought running shoes at several different running stores including Fleet Feet, Performance Outfitters, Running Away, etc. and never have I experienced such horrible service for a (returning) customer. Surprising coming from what’s supposed to be a neighborhood running store. I will never be back and any runners looking for new shoes should stick to Fleet Feet or Performance Outfitters.
I bought 2 pairs of running shoes, socks, etc. and after wearing one of the pairs one time and deciding they didn’t fit, I went back to the store to exchange/​return. EVERY other running store has always been completely understanding and happy to return shoes if the fit isn’t right – worn or not. Not Rodiez’s. They told me they were extremely worn. I showed them the receipt proving when they were bought (the day before!) and the hundreds of dollars I had JUST spent in the store. Their reply: «sorry, we only stand behind manufacturer’s defects.» This coming directly from the manager who poked his head out of the office and wouldn’t even come to the counter.
I was pretty taken aback by the lack of willingness to please a returning customer. Fleet Feet will take back shoes after 30 days!!! Even if they are worn.
Stay away. There are much better running shoe stores in Milwaukee.

After having a terrible experience breaking in shoes and having my heels covered in blisters, I decided that I needed new ones. I needed to go to some place that knows running shoes. Rodiez’s knows running shoes. I’ve known about Rodiez’s for years since I would go here for cross country shoes back in high school. Years ago, I remember the friendly and intelligent service from those who know their running shoes. On a dreary Saturday afternoon, happily nothing’s changed. The two men working were able to fit me with a more comfortable and sturdy shoe. I also got some anti blister socks for added protection. I enjoyed my trip down memory lane by doing a lap through the back of the store like I remembered it. Meanwhile my bf also got fit for some running shoes. His previous shoes had holes galore. He found a great pair of shoes that meets his needs. He donated his old pair of shoes to a bin dedicated to recycling the rubber for playgrounds. If you’re in need of great quality running shoes, Rodiez’s is the place.
