S & E Insulation

We used them in late 2011 after receiving the results of an energy audit. They built knee-​walls in our attic to contain insulation in the low parts of the attic. They drilled holes into the floor and blew in insulation. Additionally, they blew insulation into our first-​floor walls which had no insulation (Shorewood home built in 1935). First off, we’ve noticed the difference in our house’s ability to retain heat in the winter. The energy usage drop was noticeable. Second, they were neat, clean, and excellent workers. The owner came out and gave us a very experienced and detailed run-​down. It just felt good, and even though their estimate was mildly higher than another local company, the personal service felt worth the few extra dollars. It paid off, because when a piece of equipment scratched our wood floors in our upstairs hallway, he readily acknowledged that it was probably caused by them and footed the bill to have the floors re-​done. When someone stands by their work that way, you know they are good. I highly recommend them.
