History

Established in 2001.

Third Person, Inc. was founded by Michael J. Caughill to create designs that speak directly to their clients’ customers.

«Most advertising agencies and web designers I’ve known work in First Person. They say, ‘I can do flash’ or ‘Look at all the awards I’ve won.’» recalls Caughill of his experiences at other agencies. «Some farsighted firms speak in the Second Person. They ask ‘What do you want to do’ or ‘How much can you afford?’»

That was not good enough for Caughill. So, in 2001, he left his job to open his own agency.

«I named our advertising and web design company ‘Third Person’ to remind us that our real task is to see things from the point of view of our clients’ customers,» said Caughill. «After all, it’s these customers, investors, and employees that ultimately make our clients successful.»
