Var gallery is home to a gallery featuring artists from all over the Midwest, a stage featuring performances by musicians, comedians, and poets, a bar serving wine, beer, and specialty cocktails, and 25 artists in residence.

History

Established in 2013.

Var gallery moved to Walkers Point from it’s Bayview home in December 2014.

Meet the Business Owner

Josh H.

Business Owner

Josh Hintz is the owner of Var Gallery and Studios and is a Business and Marketing Consultant for 30 restaurants throughout Wisconsin. He graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 2012 with a double major in Drawing and Sculpture. After graduating, Josh made the commitment to stick around Milwaukee to create a multifunctional creative space. Var provides studios to local artists and a gallery to display the work of artists from all over the Midwest. The gallery also showcases artistic performances ranging from music to comedic monologs. Var Gallery and Studios currently represents 26 Milwaukee visual artists. Josh created Var Gallery and Studios in 2013 and has been working as a business and marketing consultant since 2014.
