Tiffany at WYWO has been my pet sitter since I moved to Milwaukee a few years ago. In a short time her business has exploded, she’s moved THREE times to bigger locations, and she is a busy lady. That is amazing. She can almost always accommodate my requests, be it holidays or last-​minute or last-​minute cancellations. I love that she has a separate part of the house just for cats, and that the dogs get to play all day. There is always staff present, they are active with the dogs and check in on the cats frequently, and the dogs never get kenneled. My naughty, anxiety-​ridden dog was a terror to kennel train and still acts up when he’s in one, so I’m very glad he can run free at WYWO. The cat comes back a little annoyed, but… cat. The dog returns home absolutely exhausted from never-​ending play time. She posts constant pics/​vids on facebook and instagram. I love this, because I am an insane pet-​mother who needs to see her kids at all times. I love WYWO and I hope they can always watch Naughty Dog and Bad Cat.

Tiffany, the owner of WYWO, is extremely accommodating and overall a wonderful person. I was going on vacation and super last minute had to find a new sitter for my dog. Tiffany rescued me! She fit my pup right into the schedule– even offering to do pick up and drop off when my departure and arrival times weren’t in sync with their business hours. took a lot of stress off my shoulders! She posted videos and pictures of my dog playing with the others throughout the day when I was gone so I knew he was happy and having a blast.
The only hitch we seemed to run into was when she dropped my dog back off at my apartment the day I was coming home, she forgot to leave my keys. It wouldn’t have been a big deal, I totally realize people forget small things like that (especially with a schedule like hers!) but when I tried calling her (a few dozen times, I might add. coming home late on a Sunday night after a long vacation and not being able to get into your apartment isn’t very fun!) she didn’t answer– in fact, didn’t answer until the next morning around 9am. When I got back it was only around 7pm so I’m not really sure what the situation was where she wasn’t able to answer. Anyways. I ended up having to call my landlord to come and bail me out– for a fee of course. After communicating this to Tiffany the next morning, she was very apologetic and compensated the fee I was charged ($ 50) and even went a step further and also comped the pick up and drop off fee ($ 40) AND half of the late booking fee– amazing!
When all was said and done, I really appreciated Tiffany’s dedication to mending the situation, and I would still definitely recommend WYWO!

So thankful we found Tiffany and WYWOPets! Tiffany is amazing and goes the extra mile for her clients. Watching her interact with your pet is nothing short of amazing. We used to utilize services at the facility, but due to one of our dogs’ anxiety and OCD, it isn’t a good fit anymore. This is not due to anything with WYWOPets — it’s just the old dog’s neurosis. He doesn’t handle change well and frequently has anxiety when leaving home.
Thankfully, WYWOPets offers drop-​ins at your home and Gizmo couldn’t be happier!
We love seeing the smiling faces of the furkids while we are away and it warms my heart to know that someone who truly loves animals is giving them the loving care we would.

I have been a client for over 2 years, and I have no idea how I lived without WYWO! Tiffany and her staff take awesome care of my cat, Mister. He enjoys his time at WYWO so much that I affectionately refer to it as ‘going to camp.’ Mister has a heart condition and requires pills twice a day, and without WYWO I would never be able to travel. They accommodate his dietary and medical needs and care for him like he was their own. The photo updates and personal attention he receives make it easier for me not to worry about him when I can’t be there! WYWO is affordable, and the care is second to none!

My dog has been a guest here for 5 months. I have seen a definite change in her personality. She is more aggressive, anxious and excitable. About a week ago, she came home for a play day with a 1 inch gash in her side. To make matters even worse, the wound was not cleaned nor was I provided with a plausible reason for the injury. I was never called about the injury and when I confronted the owner I was told, «she probably just ran into the fence.» I will never take my dog back nor could I ever recommend this place to anyone else. If I had a choice I would not give this place ANY stars!

Just got back from a week away and picked up a very tired and very happy pup! My dog has been going to WYWO since she was a puppy (a few years now) and it is her home away from home.
She plays in kiddie pools in the summer, runs and plays with her friends, sleeps on comfy beds or couches (only at daycare not at home!), and basically LOVES IT.
Within a moment of pulling up, she is ready to kiss me goodbye and she can’t get in the door fast enough.
The staff is attentive to my requests and needs. They always greet her with excitement and a caring demeanor. They also take the time to fill me in on how the day/​week/​etc. was.
Kudos to providing a fun-​filled, loving environment for my 4-​legged child!

Would totally recommend them caring for your animals while you are away! I was new to the area and they did an amazing job caring for my precious cat Jaxson while I went on vacation multiple times this summer. I also love how they post pics of the stops on Facebook so you can be at ease knowing they stopped by while you are away from home! Thank you again WYWO!

I cannot say what a relief it is to have someone not only who you trust to take phenomenal care of your dog, but a place your dog sees as a vacation. In addition, you get updates (including adorable photos) and the satisfaction of supporting an organization that does SO MUCH charity work. This is by far the best pet sitting service in Milwaukee, and I gather the entire state — and that’s without considering how reasonably priced it is. I will keep bringing my dog here and have recommended it to everyone who has a pet.
Since I wrote this initial draft, I have moved to Chicago. And still take my dogs up to Milwaukee for pet sitting. I would never trust them with anyone else.

We went out of town and entrusted Tiffany with our big Maine Coon kitties Rerun and Lola. We were supposed to have our friend watch them the first two days and Tiffany was going to take over after he was out of town.
Unfortunately our friend forgot before he was leaving out of town. He contacted Tiffany and was able to save the day by making an extra stop. Both our fish and Rerun and Lola thank her! She is amazing.

Tiffany is a life saver. I have used her pet walking service on multiple occasions. I was apprehensive about having a stranger into my house at first. Tiffany takes very good care of my «baby». She works around my unpredictable and hectic work schedule. She is very flexible and often comes within a few hours notice. I have peace of mind knowing my dog is well taken care and I can concentrate better at work.

I’ve been using Tiffany and wywopets for not quite a year, but she has literally been a lifesaver.
I changed jobs last fall and needed to find someone to help fill in while I was traveling for work. Having 2 older dogs who both have separation anxiety, being left on their own for 9 hours waiting for my husband was too stressful for them. Enter Tiffany who completely changed our lives!
Our chihuahua is usually our barometer for people — if he doesn’t like you he’ll let you know and he loved Tiffany right away! She came to meet our pups in the middle of a snowstorm and has shown that commitment to our dogs every week since.
I now know when I’m traveling that my pups are well taken care of and love that I can check in on them through Facebook and Instagram. Tiffany is always responsive to my schedule and easy to get in touch with. For a modern lifestyle I couldn’t imagine a better fit with personal touches. We’ll keep using them and highly recommend!

I have been SO impressed with Tiffany and her business — She demonstrates such commitment to the welfare and happiness of the pets she cares for! And the icing on the cake is that her prices won’t break your budget.
I have been taking my dog to While You Were Out Pet Sitting for over 1 year for doggie day camp twice per week. My dog absolutely loves it there. The WYWO staff are really great, and they go the extra mile to make my dog happy and my life easier.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this business, and hope Tiffany will soon realize her next dream of sourcing a new location where she can expand the business.

I’ve used WYWO on several occasions now, including their pet pit stop for drop in service to feed/​take care of my two guinea pigs, as well as day care/​overnight stays for my dog. Here my are observations on these particular services, and I will try to make distinctions where possible.
Scheduling/​Responsiveness: 5 out of 5
When we first moved to MKE, one of the things I needed to look for almost immediately was reliable pet sitting. I could no longer drop the dog off at a friend’s house in Chicago, nor could I just have one of my work friends come during the middle of the day to feed my guinea pigs while we were traveling. WYWO seemed to be well recommended, so I e-​mailed them and heard from Tiffany within 4 hours. By the end of that week, s he had already come over to our place to check out the scene in terms of what needed to be done in terms of guinea pig care. As time went on and I needed overnight stays for Yukon — it was the same type of quick response times with both e-​mail and texts (she’s faster at responding to texts if you have a pressing need, I guess… but to me it doesn’t matter).
Job Completion for Small Animals: 4 out of 5
I can tell how many times Tiffany has come over to take care of the guinea pigs vs how many times her other staff come over by the way things are left in our apartment. I mean, the guinea pigs are always happy and well fed and not dead (low bar, I know), but it’s the little things like Tiffany will take their scooped dirty litter along with used fresh food bags, bundle them up, and throw them away down the trash chute (not in the apartment) while the rest of her staff will just put the small bags of refuse in the garbage can in the apartment. Not a huge deal all things considered, but when you’re gone for a week, even the scent of the carefresh naturals can be a little bit um, «present» if not disposed of.
Professionalism: 3.5 out of 5
I guess it depends on what you’re looking for when it comes to calling someone a «professional.» While I disagree with some of Jen W’s sentiments, I had a similar experience the first time dropping off keys at Tiffany’s place due to timing. Steve answered the door, looked a little confused when I said, «these are for the guinea pig», but I just left it up to fate (and faith) that things would be ok. And yep, like I said, they were. Tiffany’s really flexible when it comes to things like key exchanges, and we’ve worked out several combinations of options that work for both of our schedules.
As for dog drop offs and pickups, Tiffany made it a point to be there the first time I dropped and picked Yukon off/​up, but since then I’ve interacted with two of her other staff members who are super friendly and will give a report like, «Oh yeah, he played well all week, and he went out to poop a few hours ago…». Fine.
Peace of Mind: 5 out of 5
They take photos of your pet (s) either for overnight stays, day care stays, or drop in stays. If you follow WYWO on fb, you’ll get to see your pet and others posted frequently throughout the day. I’m always cognizant that if something goes TERRIBLY wrong, I’ll get a call. (They also post on instagram, but I can’t speak to the frequency since I’m not on that particular service).
Post Visit Pet Behavior: 4.5 out of 5
Yukon’s always dead tired the day he gets back. I assume it’s cause he gets to play all day and all night, and the moment he gets home, he just conks out and heads straight for his crate and sleeps. As others have noted, Yukon does return with this… distinct «dog» smell, but oh wait… yes, he IS a dog after all, and it’s nothing that a really thorough brushing with the his furminator doesn’t get rid of. I don’t know if he actively enjoys going back to WYOW since by nature he prefers to be with family members, but from what I can tell, he really doesn’t mind his experiences either, which is a win for me.
Value: 5 out of 5
A pit stop runs me about 12 $ (including mileage), and puppinator’s overnight stays + daycare comes out to 30 $ a day. Great values in my opinion, when you consider the Petsmart charges at least 30 $ a day and the dogs there are all cramped up for most of that time.
Overall: 5 out of 5
This facility upon first glance may look surprising from the outside (it’s a house, after all!), but I’d urge everyone to give WYWO a fair chance. Likely, you’ll come away super excited about the really good value that you’re getting, plus the fact that your pet (s) have been kept in really safe and wonderful conditions.
Other notes: When Tiffany found out that I got married, she brought over a special bag of treats for my dog and guinea pigs, as well as a nice photo frame as a gift. Swee

My wife and I recently moved to Milwaukee and WYWO is one of the best things about living here. Our miniature Schnauzer adores her time at WYWO and can’t wait to come back.
Tiff and her staff love their work and it shows. Need your dog picked up for and dropped off from daycare? Done. Have a dog on a boatload of meds? No problem. Funky diet? Got it covered. Does your dog only like to walk on the left side of the street, counter-​clockwise, marking every fourth bush? Sounds like fun! WYWO works hard to figure out what you and your dog need and do their best to deliver.
The prices are low. They regularly post pictures of your dog frolicking in the yard with a big ol’ smile on its face to Facebook and Instagram so you can feel jealous. And the best part for our lazy couch-​potato is that she gets to sleep on a nice leather sofa all day!
If you’re looking for a place where your pet will feel at home and the staff will do their best to make your life easier, you can’t beat WWYO!

I was initially drawn to WYWO for three reasons: 1) It was immediately apparent to me that Tiffany understands dog behavior and needs by the fact that she first requires an in-​home consult. I have three dogs with three very distinct personalities, all of which immediately change when in a new, strange place. Meeting a dog (or cat) on his/​her turf made complete sense to me. 2) My dogs would get the opportunity to not only have daycare/​playtime, but they also would get to spend their nights cozied up on a couch, unlike a traditional kennel! 3) I wouldn’t have to pick and choose how many walks they get for how long or what 12 hour period of time they’d get human contact (like with overnight nanny’s).
Combine all of the things above with the reasonable pricing (especially for owners with multiple pets) and facebook/​instagram pictures and you have the best pet sitting business in the city! My main regret is that I don’t have room in my budget to utilize them for in-​home care on a weekly basis. Anytime I have to go out of town without my pups, I plan to use WYWO!

Words cannot describe how awesome Tiffany and her staff at WYWO are, but I will try.
The amount of care and love they all have for my animals is without question. They have boarded my dogs and cats while we’ve been out of town. Knowing they are in good hands getting plenty of attention and exercise while I am away put’s my mind at ease and it’s one less worry I have when I am gone for extended periods of time.
One of the reasons why I first chose WYWO is their commitment to the animal community in the Milwaukee area. They give both time and money to local animal rescue groups. That is just the icing on the cake for choosing them to take care of my loved ones.
I have other friends using their service. Some of them have high need animals that require special diets and drug administration. Knowing the staff is experienced and willing to handle these situations is also helpful to know.

Last year I was looking for a place to leave my 6 month old puppy while I went on vacation for a week. WYWO appealed to me not just because of the positive Unilocal reviews (which, in retrospect are mostly from one or two off reviewers) but mostly b/​c of the personal service that was promised and knowing that my puppy would not be left alone overnight, which most other boarding places do.
Tiffany came out to meet me at my house (in retrospect, I should have insisted on going there so I could see the place first, but at the time I didn’t think it was weird that she wanted to come to my place instead of vice versa, I was just happy to not have to drive across town). She was awesome and so friendly and really seemed to care about my puppy. She offered me a free ½ day trial run which I gladly accepted.
Tiffany was not there the day I tried out the service, so maybe it’s different if it’s her watching your pet versus her boyfriend, but he answered the door in his pajamas with a toothbrush in his mouth. But whatever, I appreciate comfort and oral hygiene so I ignored the lack of professionalism.
What struck me then was what a mess the house was, not that I was allowed in or given a tour, but what I could see was a complete disaster. I wrote it off telling myself that if you are in the pet sitting business of course your place isn’t going to be pristine. I have one dog and it’s hard enough to keep it clean with just her.
But I felt really uneasy as I drove away. I called a friend, worried and unsure. He assured me my puppy would be fine, that she doesn’t care whether the place she’s playing looks like a Pottery Barn catalog or the set of Roseanne; that she’d be happy just to get to play with the other dogs. But still, I worried.
When I picked my puppy up a few hours later Tiffany was still not there. The boyfriend met me at the side door and when I asked if my puppy had fun and got along with the other dogs he said, «well, we have a terrier that’s a bit aggressive.» He offered me nothing else so I scooped up my puppy and made for the car. Immediately upon picking her up I noticed that she reeked — not like other dogs (I’m used to the smells of doggy daycare) but like… air freshener. It was so strong that there is no way she would have just picked up this scent just by being in a Glade-​infused house, it must have been sprayed directly on her (no proof of this of course, but you should’ve smelled her).
When we got home she headed straight for her kennel and curled up way in the back and wouldn’t come out. I don’t know what happened there that day, but I know it wasn’t good. The most striking thing was that Tiffany never called to follow up with me and ask me how it went. I imagine when she got home her boyfriend told her how it went and she knew there would be no reason to expect my business.
This was a year ago and I am still racked with guilt about ignoring my gut and leaving my puppy there. I know that she has long since forgotten about it (oh to be a dog!) but I haven’t.
If you’re looking for daycare, I can’t recommend Central Bark enough. They also provide pick up /​drop off services and are out of this world awesome. If you are looking for overnight boarding with someone on site overnight, I’d suggest Dog Tired Daycare which doesn’t use kennels and has webcams for checking in.

Half of me doesn’t want to write this review because I don’t want anyone else to know about how amazing WYWO is, because then there is more demand and less space for me. But since I like Tiffany as a person, I’ll be nice and write this review.
WYWO really is as good as it gets. Add on the extra bonus that prices are low, and that’s just the cherry on top (I would pay above market price for this kind of service).
I have a «pit bull» dog, and therefore I’m hesitant to leave her with just anyone. However, TIffany understands and loves pit bulls and therefore I know my dog is in good hands. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that Gabbi (my dog) likes it more at WYWO than at home. The only she really wants in life is human attention, and she gets a lot of that at WYWO. Traditional kennel just aren’t her style (too lonely) and doggy day cares aren’t her thing either (too many other dogs, not enough couches).
LOVE WYWO!

This is probably the only place I feel completely comfortable leaving my dogs. I think it’s great that Tiffany comes to meet them first and is genuinely concerned about anything at all that needs to be done while the animals are in her care.
The first time we left our dog with her I ended up missing my flight home causing me to call her and request she keep him for an extra day. It was no problem at all and was very understanding.
I wouldn’t hesitate to take my dogs here any time I need to be away!

Being a first-​time pup owner I wasn’t quite sure where to take my new little lab during the holidays. We were looking for a pet-​sitter that would host a small number of animals within their own house and we stumbled across While You Were Out on Unilocal and decided to set up a meeting. Tiffany of WYWO Pets responded to my inquiry right away and set up a time to do a little «meet and greet» with us and our dog. I have never used a pet-​sitter organization before, so I was slightly wary of what to expect, but Tiffany’s laid back attitude and straightforward responses to questions put me at ease. We dropped the pup off at WYWO on December 23 and were able to pick her up on Christmas Day so she could spend time with her family (which is huge since most kennels are closed that day).
Throughout our dog’s visit we received text message and facebook updates and photos of how her little visit was going. We were also incredibly pleased that WYWO was able to give our dog some medicine and take additional care of her since she had been spade just a week and a half prior to the visit.
When we brought our little girl home on Christmas Day she was exhausted from all of the playing, but she was up and at it the next day. I’m sure she was a little disappointed to wake up without all of her new friends around.
I would definitely recommend using Tiffany and WYWO pet team for any pet-​sitting needs. We are excited to use them for future getaways.
