I ordered sympathy flowers online for a friend to be delivered the next day. I was called in the morning(I believe by Janet) and told the flowers I ordered online wouldn’t be in until the next day. I didn’t want to wait to have the flowers delivered so I said to make up a pretty bouquet with what she had at the shop. Well… the flowers turned out GORGEOUS! They’re even more beautiful than what I ordered! Thank you!!!

Enough is enough. Collectively, my family has spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this business over the past 10 – 15 years. Anniversaries, birthdays, Mother’s Day, new babies, get wells, congratulations, Valentine’s Day, EVEN Christmas bouquets. When my sister wed, she even chose Wildflowers& Weeds to provide the goods to help make her day special. Whenever I go to the shop it is always a bit on the cluttered side with disorganized work spaces and the entire place looks like it could do with a good floor to ceiling scrubbing and dusting. The proprietor does have the capability to produce stunning arrangements, but its a bit of a crapshoot. The pattern seems to be that every 3rd or 4th time we go, we are a bit let down with the order. Unfortunately, one of those times was my sister’s wedding. When ordering her bouquet, she was asked if she wanted lights in it.(I am not joking… LED lights… that were blue… I am embarrassed to say that I snorted back laughter when they were offered.) My sister very clearly and very strongly declined. She is not a neon blue bouquet kind of girl, she was not getting hitched in Reno, and the groom was not a semiretired lounge singer. Lo and behold, when the big day came… there were blue lights all up in those pretty roses. Moments before the ceremony, in the vestibule of the church the groom performed an emergency crap/tack/gaud-ectomy on the bouquet with a pair of needle nose pliers. Most importantly, the florist is not very accommodating. Earlier this week, I called to order a corsage and a few bouquets for Mother’s Day and I was told verbatim–«Each corsage takes 45 minutes to make and it is a waste of my time.» It was going to be a fairly substantial order. This is not the first time she has refused to make something that she deems a waste of time. Call me shrewd, or ice princess, or even bitchy, but when you act like you do not want or need my business, I will simply take it elsewhere. There are a few other flower shop gems in the city, that I am more than happy to patronize. In summation– *grubby shop, but not in the charming way *flowers gorgeous, but inconsistently so(and lets be honest, the beautiful raw materials, themselves, do most of the work by just being lovely) *owner, should not really deal with the public in person and her business would benefit if she had a secretary/consultant Bridget out!
