I want to do what Lindsey says I should do! I want to support family-owned businesses connected to the community. I want to support fellow UWM alumnuses or whatever. I want to spend my money here instead of other places! I’m sorry, Z Pantry. I just can’t. See, here’s the thing: when you carry more in the way of pipes for«legal tobacco use only» than you do pain relief meds(a la Advil, etc.), we have a problem, Houston. My mom and I stopped in here one afternoon after shopping, pre-frozen yogurt gardening extravaganza to score her some non-ibuprofen pain relief in the form of Tylenol, Excedrin, Aleve, regular old aspirin… anything, really. None. Nada. Zip, zero, zlich. Z Pantry stocks Advil, which she can’t have, and then every type of pain relief med *sleepytime style* under the sun. Drowsy much? Catering to a niche demographic, perhaps? And that’s all fine and well, but then, when I went to inquire as to if they might have some behind the counter, I waited a solid minute while the guy working and the guy«in line» in front of me conversed on and on. After a bit«line guy» was gracious enough to move it, but seriously. One quick question, you could’ve carried on yr conversation after 3 seconds. No, a minute isn’t a long time… you’re right. It just left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth to stand and wait while they were having a personal conversation. It wasn’t like the dude wasn’t friendly; he was just fine… friendly even! The whole thing just left me feeling like this«pantry» wasn’t terribly well-stocked and was obviously less than convenient. As I noted previously, they do have lots of pipes for«legal tobacco use only.» A smattering of Gatorade and soda, some frozen pizzas and candy, condoms, and that about sums it up, people. Open late? Bonus points. I just… I just don’t know. I think I’d rather hit up that mediocre gas station on Prospect or the convenience store on Murray, to be honest.

Support these guys: A great, family-owned business that’s connected to the community. The brothers who work here go to UWM, and are all around nice guys.

The gentleman who works here was very friendly and helpful. they do not sell any alcohol, but they do have fresh sausage from Usinger’s on the roller griller thing, and a good selection of frozen meals, and of course a lot o soda pop. The prices here are pretty decent, and they are open late.
