LOVE this place!!! Every time we’re in town we stop here! Tuesday special is too good to pass up! The pastrami burger is to die for!!! Unique beers that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Yum, yum, yum!

Everything here is so delicious! It’s hard to choose what to order every time! Fun place for the family and cool wine/​bar area.

Honestly, I am updating my review because I have been a little disappointed lately. I love Minden meat and deli, it is a fantastic place with great beers and great food. However, in recent months the service has been subpar. I have had a hard time ⁴⁄₅ times getting a beer when I sit down. I stopped going for a bit because it became more work than worth to get a beer… though when you do get one it is so good, they really do have an awesome selection and the owners are wonderful people. I think maybe some of the staff just needs a little bit more work on people skills maybe… I was there two days ago with some family who had ordered dinner and I came later. I sat down, their dinner was brought out and I didn’t even get a «Hi, how are you, can I get you something to drink…» Or anything along those lines. It was as if I was invisible. Really awkward. It’s just upsetting because this used to be my go to and in recent months it’s been kind of disappointing on the service front of things. I hope maybe things will change, this really is a great place, I’m just tired of waiting for 20 minutes to get a beer. I miss this place!

I’ve called 3x in the last week to place an order, no one answers. Always goes to voice mail. But the food is really good!

I’ve never had a messed up order here. Their food is always wonderful. I love the burgers and the Turkey Pesto Panini the best. Great quality for the price, great friendly workers.

Great sandwiches and burgers. Bring your appetite. Portions are large. Exceptional selection of fresh meat including the awesome Bently locally grown meat. Unfort unately it only comes frozen. Great place to eat. Noise level high.

My family has had food from Minden Meat & Deli about 5 times. We’ve eaten there twice and the rest of the time as takeout at home. When we eat there the food is perfect. When we get takeout the food ALWAYS has something wrong with it. i.e. pickles not removed, wrong type of fries, missing item in a large order…
You walk into a deli like setting. You order the food over the counter, pay for it at the counter (along with any drinks you want), pick a seat (if you’re eating there) and when the food is ready they let you know and you go back to the counter to pick it up. There is a LARGE variety of wine and beer to choose from, but there is also a lot of nonalcoholic beverages too.
The food is good. My husband likes the Hawaii 5.0 with extra Teriyaki sauce. I like the Mom’s Burger with no onion and no pickles (can’t eat them since I’m breastfeeding and they give my baby gas). We have also ordered fries, both kinds are great, and the sweet potato fries too. Again, these items are just as we order them if we eat at the restaurant, but if we order takeout then there is ALWAYS something not correct. So, if you want to try them out I recommend eating at the restaurant.

Great spot for beers, inside could use a modern touch, it’s kind of like a cafeteria in there. But food is simple and delicious. Beer selection is the best in the region

Beer, Beer, Beer, Food, Food, Food and GREAT SERVICE!!! My GF and I have eaten here 3 times now and it’s consistent and tasty every time! I live in Tahoe City so the drive is a little far but well worth the trip.
The Beer: 31 taps of unbridled sudsy delight ready for quaffing. A great selection of craft favorites from IPA’s to Bourbon Barrel Stouts, East Coast to Midwest to West Coast breweries. It’s always a tough choice to limit yourself to just a couple of brews. Bottles, bottles everywhere! The beer choices are multiplied when you set out on a journey of the bottled beer panorama that surrounds the seating area. You can never just pick one!
The Food: Tri-​Tip Sandwich’s, Burgers, Panini’s are all «off the charts» goodness with quality ingredients. Beer battered fries and sweet potato fries cannot be passed up for sides. Their deli selection of meats and cheeses are all locally produced from farm to fork.
The Service: Friendly, helpful and patient! If you’re having trouble with your order request, someone will help you out. If your GF can’t quite decide on a beer style, the beertender will give a couple of samples to help out. Sitting outside? They’ll bring your food order out to you on the front patio.
The Patio: The view of the snow capped mountains is great but since the building is right on HWY 395 the constant traffic surge gets quite noisy. Any chance of creating an outdoor patio on the backside of the building?

I’ve eaten here a few times now, I feel like I can give an honest review. Ordering seems to be the intimating factor, so let’s help you out here. So those new to this place, you walk thru the front doors, to your right a deli display case stands. Look at the menus, menus are hung up on the wall and placed on the counter of the display case. Attentive staff workers will greet you as you’re deciding; small patience and simple observation is required. Place your order. Then move to cash register adjacent from your current location. If you desire beverages, either make purchase at the fridge at your immediate left or visit the small bar (past the beverage fridge), separate purchase could be required, GET OVER IT. Remember, patience and observation is key.
Then have yourself a seat of your choice, inside or outside dining. And enjoy as they serve you! Good food! Fantastic drafts! And great staff!

There was a time I took my family here in 2014 and it was pretty disappointing cause the meat was dry and nothing turned out right. Sometimes things just don’t come out as planned.
But all the other times I’ve went here the food came out perfect. If I came back down to visit I’d stop here.

Based on recommendations from friends, I stopped by the Minden Meat and Deli for lunch when I was passing through the area last month. It proved to be a good decision!
Imagine an old-​style deli where they roast all of their meats. When you ask for, say, a reuben sandwich, they grab a chunk of roasted-​in-​house meat and start cutting slices for your order.
The meats in the counter look good, but the smell of freshly roasted meat that is being prepared for your own taste buds distracts you from perusing too much.
Oh, then there is the decision that you must mask as to what beverage to have with your meal. Well, there are 31 different taps of microbrewery beers available to choose from.

My sandwich was absolutely savory deliciousness.

I really like this spot. It has a great vibe that I wish there was more of in both Minden and Lake Tahoe. They serve delicious food and beers. It’s not a bar scene but, more of a deli and pub. Their serving sizes are large, the fries are delicious and the soups are wonderful. This is my new go-​to when I am down that way.

They make a great cheeseburger at Minden Meat and Deli. There’s a nice selection of meats and cheese in their deli cases as well.
My husband used to enjoy the chili but says it doesn’t taste the same as it used to.
The ordering process is confusing. There is a menu listed on the wall. But there is also a menu on paper that you can check items on.
The fries are pretty delicious.

What a nice surprise! We have driven by many times… so glad we stopped! Turkey Pesto Panini, Asparagus-​bacon soup, and sweet-​potato fries!!!

I very much like the beer selection, and that they are using a modern system for the taps. Very well done.
I do not care for the set up with the food orde3ring, the food is very VERY good but ordering /​paying for food in one room and ordering /​paying for beer in the 2^nd room is cumbersome.
not such a burden that I wont be back, but takes a couple of visits to get used to.

MUST GET BEER BATTERED FRIES. Their fries are so crispy and delicious and goes so well with their delicious sandwiches. I got the tuna salad sandwich with bacon the last time I went in. It was so tasty and perfectly toasted. The only problem is that the wait can be long during lunch time. so if you are in a rush I’d suggest calling ahead if you can.

Spectacular! Congrats Minden on this little gem! The beer and wine selection was outstanding. The sandwiches were great! Including ghost pepper cheese as a selection. If you’re passing thru the 395 corridor this should be a staple, gawd knows it will be for us!

we have bought meat here to cook on our grill and it is soooo good, that almost black tri tip just melts in your mouth even with my horrific grill skills!!!
