Diva Nails and Spa Studio

I’ve been going to Diva Nails for a while now, maybe just under a year. My go to nail tech/​artist is Tori. She’s amazing. She is amazingly neat and careful with her work. She always makes sure I’m happy with the work she has finished with my nails.
I decided to finally write a post because I feel like she went above and beyond during my last visit to make sure I was happy. I had gone and got a normal gel manicure and when I left my nails looked fine. But when I got to work I realized the color looked a bit weird, I called and asked Jenny if I could come back after work and have them fixed. She said no problem. When I got there Tori saw what I was talking about, she buffed my nails and put another coat of the color on. She let it cure and asked me what I thought, it looked fine but still not amazing and she agreed. It was now about 7:45 — 8:00 PM and Diva closes at 7:30 PM! Most salons would have let you walk out with just a halfway decent fix but not Tori. She redid the ENTIRE gel manicure with a different brand (she used Perfect Match instead of The Best because we thought the issue may have been with the formula) and it came out so well! What I was really thankful for was that she stayed well after closing hours to finish up my nails which was greatly appreciated!
All in all I came away with great nails and awesome customer service !!

I see May. She’s sweet and talkative which I like. But not in the annoying kind of way. I usually get a gel manicure and a pedi. I go early cause they get busy quick. They have a lot of colors and the give a great hand massage. I use my hands for a living so I need manicure that lasts.

There great at designs but they are so rude, awful, and insulting. they treat you like your a nobody

The first time I went the man I had was super nice and did an amazing job on my nails. He was friendly and chatted with me. Sure it was expensive, more than I would have liked especially after tipping, but I was happy overall.
This time I felt taken advantage of. I went in for my appointment and I was made to wait. Ok that happens everywhere and isn’t so terrible. But then the man who helped me absolutely no personality and what
personality he did have was just cold and not friendly.
And really he could not get me out fast enough. Was it good to get out in about 40 minutes? Yeah sure was nice but the man basically just barked orders at me when I need to put my hands under the UV lights and everything. He seem annoyed when I wanted to different color blues for my design. He did a nice job and they look nice but they’re a little pointy not very clean I guess is a way to describe it. And overall it really was a half assed attempt at the design I wanted. I don’t expected to be the same or as good but still.
The only upside to this trip was that it was for some reason a little cheaper and I didn’t get a ticket on the street with my parking
I don’t think I would come back here no matter what and I probably wouldn’t tell people to come here either. They need to have more respect for the people that come in and Not just treat us like moneybags

I’ve been here a few times and there’s always been something a bit off. I don’t live that close but after seeing their Instagram I decided to get my nails done for my wedding. The woman who did my nails only did them half way and then and man took over. He kept asking why I was picking the design I picked that it was strange for a wedding and showed me someone’s nails he just did before mine claiming hers looked more like a wedding… he wasn’t rude he was smiling but I just felt it was not necessary but either way I liked how my nails came out, the price was fair, and it was a clean nice place so I ended up going here a few more times. I realized they worked best by appointment so I made sure to always make one. But I made an appointment, I believe with the owner, and when I came in she left to pick up her daughter I think… with out saying a word to me and I ended up having to wait and then someone else did my nails. They do treat new clients differently and I just didn’t feel like dealing with their crap so I stopped going.

great place if you get gel then they really put more effort into designs and effort but a beautiful place with a nice vibe.

I have been going to diva nails for almost a year and have loved every appointment I have had. I started out with one nail technician, Jenny, who always listened to my requests. Some people I see in previous reviews don’t like her joking attitude, but I find it to be amusing probably because I am the same way. I then switched to Chris, who has made the most impressive nail art getting me compliments always. I don’t know what I would do without them.

They’re good at designs but their customer service sucks, they’re rude! I’ve tried them multiple times because I do like how well they can do uniquely designed gel manicures but. The gel manicure never lasts on me… And I never feel welcomed in there. The way you make customers feel is a big deal!

This is my go to salon for my nails, wish they were better at doing pedicures.

Went in here last week and it was not very crowded. But I felt very rushed and the staff was very rude. The girl doing my nails was sloppy, unfriendly and inattentive. I could have done a better job myself. Never going back here again!

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!!! So here I am almost a year later writing another review… I make an appointment today for tips and a pedicure. The only reason I came back here was bc my sister kept recommending it as long as I made an appointment with Chris. So I did and my nails came out great. However, Chris had warned me that they (Jenny) will not let me get a pedicure done due to my last review I posted. So basically bc I posted a bad review Jenny was seeking out to get me back as a «punishment». If they had good service then maybe they wouldn’t have bad reviews. I go to pay and Jenny calls another girl to take my payment and I told the girl that I was also scheduled a pedicure. Jenny then decides to but in and tell me that I cannot have a pedicure bc of my last review, which was posted 9 months ago. So here she is starting to curse me out bc I told her how ridiculous she sounded so I start to exchange foul language with her. I told her I could sue and I already called the police the second I walked out and they told me my rights and she cannot deny me service if she already accepted my nails. So needless to say that is my absolute last time I am going back. She told me she was the owner when I asked if she owned the place and I know for a fact she does not. She told my sister that the owner never walks in so Jenny thinks she could get away with saying that. My sister and her friends come all the time but she lost those customers too. The nail art is not worth it AT ALL. If Chris was smart he would leave that place.

Came to visit New York for my cousins wedding. Decided to get my nails done here rather than back home cause why not. Let’s just say I much rather have gotten them done back home a week and half earlier and risked ugly chipped nails for the wedding because at least for the time being it would have been nice after getting them done. They did not even clean the nail polish around my nails, they were not straight. She didn’t cover the edges of my nail with polish and didn’t file it adequately. They reluctantly agreed to fix my nails, but with the same lady who did the shitty job in the first place. When I asked for someone else they said they were too busy to give someone else the job to do and they would just refile it without correcting the polish that went onto my skin. It’s clear they hired new employees for the holiday season, but maybe they should have considered who they were hiring. I don’t appreciate incompetent manicurists (if you can call them that) doing my nails. I would never come here unless you’re coming for Chris. So upset and unsatisfied. Basically refusing to pay for this half-​assed service. (Could I give this zero stars?)

Great service, quality work and friendly staff. Attention to detail, exquisite designs. Clean environment.

Literally the worst nail service I have ever received. My nail tech clearly did not care about «customer service», was so rude, uncaring and disinterested in me. My manicure was less than 10 minutes, 10 minutes! My sister got a manicure and pedicure and both of her services together were only 5 minutes longer than mine. WTF
I will never come back here, the experience I had, had me feeling so insulted and pissed. I would not give this place 1 star. Would not recommend to ANYONE.

Pros: Manicurists really listened to our requests. I had a special case, many broken nails and Chris saved them.
They have the ability to do gemstones, glitter, and tape designs. This was our reason for visiting this salon in particular: they’re artistic (but extra on themselves and favorite clients for their Instagram)
Cons: Honestly, not worth the hype
Basic décor, clean but outdated style
The acrylic smell was killer!!! So strong you smelled it outside
Bad selection of regular polish. The brands were things I’ve never heard of before. No Essie, only half were OPI, etc
I did not receive any hand cream (my friend did)
no massage of any kind for either of us, no cuticle pushing or cutting.

This place is very overrated. The people are rude and do not do a good job. Left nail polish on my palm. Will not be returning.

I have been going to Diva Nails now for a little over a year now and overall I love my nails and believe it or not getting gel manicures this whole time has made my nails grow super long and I get daily compliments. When I call and do not have an appointment Jenny has always been accommodating. But rule of thumb for Diva is make an appointment and try to make it during the week because weekends are slammed!
My only negative with this place the consistency with the manicures depending on what tech you get. My guy Vinny is great and he always takes his time and makes sure each nail looks perfect and is patient with me when I can’t make up my mind about what color I want. I always ask for him when I make an appointment.
I have gotten my gel manicure done twice by a small older woman who is just the sweetest thing but she is careless when putting on the polish. She uses too much and it gets on my cuticles and when my nails grow the polish comes up on all sides.
Overall I would recommend Diva Nails and especially to those who love designs because they can do literally anything you ask for and have hundreds of colors!

I believe he is new there but he does a fantastic job! I get the pink and white powder and he’s great at asking if length and width are what I want. I wasn’t sure what design to get and he came up w great ideas. He knows what he is doing and they will give you what you’re looking for. I also like the owner Jenny, She is super nice and helpful. I’ve seen post where people say she’s not nice and I’ve never seen it. (honestly if people were being impossible or nasty I wouldn’t be sweet back to them — customer or not she’s a human being and people can suck) I think this salon is great and very talented and prices are fair I won’t go to another place.

I came here with my grandma and two close friends. I got a gel manicure and everyone else got regular manicures. I have mixed feelings about this salon. My grandma was happy. My friends were not. They said the employees were kind of rude and not friendly. My guy was ok. I asked for an annoying design and he did it. I was happy with my design. However, they were not that clean with my gel manicure. I got a design that was off their Instagram. I had an ok experience. Would i come back? Probably not.

Wow! Everyone was so nice this morning. My sister and I came from Wantagh to try our Diva Nails after a recommendation from a friend about the talent and low prices of the salon.
Our pedicures and manicures are immaculate. I was out surprisingly quick too!
