History

Established in 2009.

This company is born out of the need to move forward towards better quality and efficiency and more convenience for translators, myself and clients. I have been a freelance translator for 15 years, and the time came to straighten things up and get in charge. I have a passion for languages and for «doing things right» and, simply put, making people happy, so customer satisfaction is at the core of the philosophy of my company.

I used to play secretary when I was around 9 – 10 years old. I had strong organizational skills back then! I also invented two «languages» so I could play with my cousin without others knowing what we were saying. I remember meticulously writing each word in a card, with a code number, the word’s meaning and other details I don’t recall. I wrote 500 of those!

I started working at age 12, because it was necessary. Back to studies a few years later, I focused on secretarial skills again. I also studied English very intensively. I worked as a bilingual secretary for quite a few years in Uruguay. I also worked teaching English, and I earned an scholarship to study and work in the Minnesota Public Schools, where I helped teaching Spanish.

After getting training and practice as a translator, I got my Accreditation from the American Translators Association in 1999, and I have worked as a freelance English to Spanish translator since then. But now it’s time for my company!
