Barks and Rec offers all the walking services you will need to improve the life of your pup. Whether you would like your pup to join other dogs in group walks or be walked on it’s own, Barks and Rec can help!

All Dogs Are Welcome. Fearful, shy, and reactive dogs need exercise too! Barks and Rec has no breed restrictions. I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments, including fearful dogs. I can help your dog get proper socialization, which in turn can lead to less fear and aggression, and a happier, more well-​adjusted dog!

History

Established in 2010.

After returning from the Triple Crown Academy for Dog Trainers, Alex Hermundson immediately got to work walking and training dogs. After two years in business, Alex joined the Canine Coach staff as a Boot Camp trainer. He still walks dogs and is currently specializing in group walks which is greatly beneficial to dogs that need some socialization with other dogs while Mom and Dad are away at work!

Alex is a graduate of the Canine Training Specialist program at Triple Crown Academy for Dog Trainer’s in Hutto, TX. The curriculum is extensive and includes everything from learning theory and breed characteristics to obedience and behavioral problems/​solutions.

Since being back he has been able to expand on his knowledge and gain experience in the real world by working with rescue organizations and his own clients.

His training background gives him great insight into how to handle dogs that have special behavioral challenges or needs.
