I love this place they are awesome always wonderful service!

Okay I know what you’re thinking, you can easily go to a nearby grocery store and buy a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Ice cream from the freezer section no problem. But let me tell you, if you stop by this little ice cream shop, you can get that ice cream that you’re looking for as well as a chill ambiance and super friendly service.

I love me some ice cream on a hot summer day, or any day for that matter! Ben & Jerry have concocted some scrumptious combinations of goodness. I typically buy locally sourced and organic ice cream, but once a year on my birthday I indulge here! I can’t even explain all of the options, but they are generous enough to give you a tasty sample of what sounds good to you. I personally enjoy anything with caramel, butterscotch or sea salt.

I’ve never been a fan of their ice cream (although, I think Cherry Garcia is A-​OK), but thought to try their stuff the other day after dinner. Also, I’ve never been to a Ben & Jerry’s, so I wanted to see what the fuss was all about.
The store is clean, and there are plenty of ice creams and cones to try. I opted to go with the toffee-​vanilla in a cup.
While it did taste fine for the first couple of bites, I couldn’t help but notice how incredibly grainy the cream tasted. It’s the first time that I can remember throwing away ice cream. (I know, right?) With so many awesome ice cream parlors in the Twin Cities, how could I possibly recommend this place?

It’s Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and is the same as what you normally buy in the pints, you know what you are getting from that perspective. My favorite parts about this particular scoop shop are the outdoor seating, friendliness of the staff and the great smell (and taste!) of their waffle cones. Although I do love B&J I can’t justify giving them a 5 start with all of the great local ice cream options near by but there is nothing particularly wrong with the place.

I love that I can buy B&J anywhere, but there is nothing like going to the B&J shop and being able to taste several flavors and picking the one that is perfect for your mood. I also love that they chill the chocolate covered waffle cone — definitely added to the enjoyment of the delicious ice cream. I’m just glad I don’t live closer.

Thought I’d give this place a 2^nd chance. This ice cream was called Late Night Snack and was vanilla bean ice cream with salty Carmel swirls and fudge covered potato chip clusters. One thing that I’ve discovered is none of the flavors that I’ve tasted are overpowering, they are not strong enough to get a real feel for the treat. The potato chip taste wasn’t there, it was like having a fudge chip.
Customer service was excellent.

Schweddy balls; vanilla and rum with fudge covered malted rum balls… truly a must try. If I was ordering just for myself I’d go with the Schweddy balls but I was with my 5 year old nephew and it just seemed wrong to order Schweddy balls. We did Milk & Cookies instead, sorta like chocolate chip cookie dough but different. The ice cream had a really creamy taste almost like whole milk with a hint of vanilla… and of course bits of bake cookie.
I like Ben & Jerry’s, I’m just not head-​over-​heals running like a madwoman and knocking people over to get to this ice cream. It is better than Baskin Robbins but about equal to Haagen Dazs IMHO.

Great store. I had to come here because it was the only place in town where I could get me some Schweddy Balls!

I used to buy Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream like a pint a week when I first came to the States because I didnt know any local ice-​cream shops. If I were to buy ice-​cream from the grocery stores, I would still buy either Ben & Jerry or Haagen-​Dazs.
I came to this ice-​cream shop a few times. It’s a cute little ice-​cream shop with a few colorful tables. The staffs are always nice and patient with indecisive patrons, me included. The trick here is probably the flavors that are only available in the store (scoop shop), but not in the grocery store. The last time I tried this amazing coconut 7-​layer flavor, which is in store only. It was really good but a bit too sweet for me to finish all at once even just a small size.
A major downfall, as Jen W. stated, is the price. You can get a pint of their ice-​cream at the grocery store for 3 something bucks, but the ice-​cream here is worth at least 5 bucks for a small cone.

As a native New Englander I feel silly going to a Vermont based establishment in MN. But I was able to get over that for Free Cone Day! I was amazed how quickly the massive line moved and how cheerful the scoopers were on what had to be an exhausting day. I discovered my new favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor – Milk & Cookies! It’s a like oreo and cookie dough in one!

One word: HEAVEN!
Ok I gotta keep going this place is to good. Whether you want a big bowl of ice cream titled Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey, or Cinnamon Buns or an amazing refreshing drink (coffee flavors yummy) this place is wonderful. I mean it is ice cream… how can someone complain!
The staff is wonderful and they let you sample every kind of ice cream you want…

Went after dark and the store was way too bright. The bathroom was obnoxiously bright. But whatever.
I like that they have flavors that you can only get there and not at grocery stores, such as Coconut 7-​Layer Bar. It was good. Not Izzy’s Salted Caramel good, but good. Though my 10-​year old dining companion did not like her Chunky Monkey and threw it away causing my 8-​year old dining companion to take pity on her and offer her some of his Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (What? You thought I was going to share mine? Psht.)
But $ 5.91 for a small ice cream cone? Really? I should have just bought a pint at the grocery store for $ 3.50. But grocery stores don’t carry Coconut 7-​Layer Bar, you can only get that flavor at the «Scoop Shop». And that’s how they win.

I liked it. I had the special pumpkin pie flavor and it was tasty although at the end I kinda got sick of it a little bit. But they could use a little help in the ol’ customer service dept. We waited for a while before someone came out to the front when we walked in, and then he couldn’t be bothered to help us until he got his laptop and ipod plugged in…
It is a bit pricey for ice cream but if you’ve ever made ice cream you know the good stuff isn’t cheap.

Never bought the B&J hype even as a New Yorker. It went out of business on Grand Ave several years back. I guess this area isn’t about to be ripped off by outsiders. Way over priced. It didn’t last long. It was on my corner, so I’d break down and get a chocolate shake that looked like mud and had the consistency of liquid shit. Didn’t taste much better.

Apparently I am an ice cream whore even though I haven’t sold my body for a scoop just yet. I got a cravin’ the other night for a little of the olé ‘iced cream’ and decided to swing by Ben and Jerry’s. It was a summer night, people were milling around outside, the store itself was totally empty. I walked in and was quickly asked by 2 of the 3 16 year olds working there what I wanted. I didn’t know. Honestly, I wanted to review the list of options and see what new, wild things they had. Within mere seconds, I was asked again by the third member of the staff what I thought I wanted and that I could try any flavor as a sample; what, does everyone know all Ben and Jerry’s flavors automatically? Look I don’t want a f’ing Cherry Garcia, give me a minute.
I was now annoyed and wondering why I felt like I was being sold a used car when all I wanted was a frozen treat. I quickly found the list but with all the teenage angst/​peer pressure, I panicked. I asked to sample the chocoloate/​peanut butter something or other. It was good so I got a scoop for my better half. As soon as I ordered it I was being rung up at the register, but wait, I wasn’t done ordering yet. I mean what if I wanted to buy one of everything at the store in some «Brewster Millions» type attempt to spend cash?
I now felt like I was in some sort of strange contest with the employees, they wanted me out, I wanted to see how long I could hang around and keep them from texting their friends about the ‘loser 34 year old dude in the store who was ordering chocoloate and peanut butter ice cream — as if!’ To keep the dance going, I asked for a sampling of their cream and cookies (or something like that, I remember it’s not «cookies and cream» and thought that was odd.) I was now over my staring contest with «Jimmy» and blinked. I ordered the cream and cookies or whatever and paid and left.
Overall,
Service — Great if you like it up your butt
Ice Cream — Marginal. Pumphouse and Sebastian Joes you ain’t got nothing to worry about.

good stuff. had a cone after dinner at my uncles. service wasn’t real .good. but the butter pecan was.
