Come, Sit, Stay was born out of love – a love for animals and for helping the community.

After years of working as an engineer, Come, Sit, Stay owner, Megan, found herself the way many boarded pets do: cooped up, unhappy and striving for more. Megan realized she needed a career change – one that would fulfill her passion for animals and for helping others. In May 2007 Megan decided to unleash her personal passions into the professional world by founding Come, Sit, Stay. Insured and bonded, Come, Sit, Stay is now a local, trusted leader in providing playful, personalized and professional pet care in the Twin Cities.

Growing up alongside pets Lightning and Pepper, Megan always thought she would be a veterinarian. However, she switched gears after learning that she wouldn’t get to interact with the animals as much as she thought she would in that career. In college, Megan decided to pursue chemical engineering and secured a job at a large local corporation after graduation.

Like many people, Megan realized she wasn’t satisfied in a cubicle career. However, unlike most people, she decided to do something about it. Despite the intellectual complexity inherent to engineering, Megan calls her decision to start Come, Sit, Stay «a real no-​brainer»: it allows her to combine her lifelong love of animals with her desire to work directly with people.

Megan’s patience, quick bond-​building skills and comfort with new animals make her a professional, yet approachable pet care provider. She has experience working with a wide range of animal types, breeds and sizes.
