Good location– quick service– friendly staff. Pizza is good, didn’t try the hoagies.

Came here today during a crazy busy fundraiser. Sooo many kids. Yikes. They made an honest mistake on my order BUT went out of their way to make it right. I love their pizza and hoagies and I appreciate their actions to make sure I left happy. Will definitely be back. Thanks!

It may be college nostalgia, but I still love both the chewey crusted traditional pizzas or the great hot hoagies(Turkey Bacon Chipotle is the best) make this one of my go to places. Loved it 30 years ago and still love it. The Edina location had good local beer on tap and decent wine.

This is not as good as Pizza Luce, or some of the other small, non-chain pizza joints in Edina/S. Minneapolis… but I still order this as it is actually very good(and convenient, being very close to my house). Their deep dish is usually my go-to.

Fantastic costumer service! Quick and pleasant! The food was tasty for a chain restaurant. My group ordered a personal pizza and a chicken Caesar salad. The personal pizza was a little big for one person, but fit our group well. The pizza was cheesy and easily customizable. The salad was nothing extraordinary, yet it filled our needs, wasn’t too expensive, and very fast. Overall great service and especially good for families!

Great customer service except I waited probably 10 mins after all my friends who ordered after me similar items by the way to walk up and see where my food was at. well my salad was under the counter bam! interesting I thought than I was told my pizza was in t he oven a personal traditional crust pepperoni. the place was quite empty so I questioned what’s up I was told it got overlooked ok that shouldnt happen then they bring it to the counter and it’s cold. I ask for my money back they oblige no biggie just left there hungry!

Local pizza chain that my room mate loves. I tried the ‘whole’ chicken bacon honey mustard hoagie(toasted sub). The sandwich was a good size but I was disappointed that it didn’t come with a side — slaw or chips would have been great, especially for nearly $ 8. The best part was they had one of the fancy touch screen soda machines(Edina location) and sell a selection of local beer for those so inclined. I definitely want to try their pizza and like they have all three crust options(thin, ‘traditional’, deep).

Davanni’s has unbeatable customer service. They know me by name and know what I order! Now they have beer and wine! I can have a glass of wine while I wait for my take-out and I can’t wait to sit on their patio!

Nice local chain with decent thin crust pizza and great toasted subs(Hoagies). They employ lots of local kids and seem to be involved in every community fund raiser so they are really a part of the community, not just another business. Their local connections are very evident. They’ve got a large party room that always seems to be hosting some little league or soccer team and the service is pretty fast and friendly. We’ve been customers for years and while its not my #1 favorite pizza(Cosetta’s is a little to far for me to go as often as I like), it is very good, tasty and hot.

Been here twice, ordered the same thing both times. The first time was GREAT — speedy takeout service, delicious meatball sandwich on wheat bread. The second time we had to wait a full 15 mins for 2 sandwiches & mine was dry & sauceless. I made the mistake if choosing the ciabatta bread, should’ve stuck with the wheat. Won’t be rushing to return but will probably give it another shot at some point.

Disclaimer: I haven’t ever set foot in this location. Having said that, I have to review this, because Davanni’s probably has the BEST Gluten Free pizza crust I have ever had. When I opened the box I was almost a bit disappointed at the kind of small, pale, meager looking pizza that lay before me. However, I have to say despite the appearance, their crust is wonderful! It is a mix of chewy and crispy — yes, I said crispy. No gluten free mushiness here! My only regret was getting the mediterranean… not that it was bad, by any means, it’s just that this crust(unlike most gf) surely could have handled a nice pile of meat and sauce! Can’t wait to do it again!

I stopped in at this location for my first time a couple weeks ago after attending an event that ran a little longer than I expected and served only drinks without food at the reception. I was hungry and I probably needed to sober up before driving home much further. There are a lot of options on the menu so I took my time and let several people go ahead of me. I have stuck with the thin crust for quite a while when eating at other Davanni’s locations, but I decided to try the traditional crust this time. I’m usually concerned about the crust being too doughy, but I was relieved to discover that was not an issue with the traditional crust. After placing my to-go order, they informed me that it would take 20 minutes and offered me a water while I waited(which I gladly accepted). While sitting and waiting a kid came and sat next to me and started asking my lots of questions. It turned out to be one of the more entertaining waits of my life. While waiting I also discovered that they have an interesting system where the kitchen staff hangs a number that indicates the current wait time for pizzas based on how busy the kitchen was. I had been wondering why it was that I was told 20 minutes and other people were being told 25 minutes. The pizza did not disappoint in the flavor and texture department. I ordered a solo size and it was not enough. I did appreciate the overall feel of the dough and I believe that I will order traditional again since their thin crust can occasionally turn out a little too flimsy.

I took a survey a few months ago for Davanni’s and they rewarded me with a nice $ 5 off postcard so I decided to try it out before the Daytona 500 started. I called my order after checking out their website(Which is pretty good) and ordered the Southwestern Chicken. I ordered the whole sandwich and kept the second half for dinner the same day. They said it would be 8 – 10 minutes and I pulled into the parking lot about 10 minutes later and they have a special line for takeout orders, which was kind of cool. I had no problem with my $ 5 off coupon and the guy that looked like he was 12 behind the counter was friendly enough and efficient. The Styrofoam box was full of hoagie goodness and I headed home. I opened the box and there were vegetables and chicken overflowing from the sides of the sub. The only complaint was that it was kind of tepid, and when I order a hot sub, I would love a hot sub. It could have been the five minute drive home though. The sandwich was good, not great, but the bread was nicely toasted and there was a lot of chicken. I wouldn’t go out of my way for one of the subs, but for 2 bucks, it was a good two meals worth of food.

This pizza is either love or hate. Personally, I dislike it because there’s too much sauce, and the sauce has chunks of tomato in it. I’m sure many people prefer it that way. However, they have awesome hoagies, salads, breadsticks and pasta there, so I recommend the place in spite of the pizza. Too bad they don’t serve Pepsi products so I could have mt dew with my lunch.
