My brother just bought a new house and so we ordered one pizza to feed a couple helpers. We waited an hour and 45 minutes to get our pizza on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Will NEVER be ordering from here again. Ever.

If you are looking for real pasta, this is not the place! Got the chicken florentine. The ‘whole’ order was TINY! I couldn’t imagine a half order. It was very plain, and the spinach tasted awful, the chicken was just a few thin strips. We were very disappointed in Davanni’s, as its one of my favorite places. Stick to a hoagie and cheese bread here, that’s their strength.

This wasn’t the best place I’ve eaten, and it wasn’t the worst. We had a pizza and a calzone. Both my wife and I ended up with the same mild stomach trouble afterwards. Think Pizza Hut aftermath. Very heavy food. I’m not sure I would go here again, but the upstairs dining area was pretty cool.

Davanni’s deep dish pizza has to be one of my favorite pizzas! I think I even love it almost as much(if not better) than deep dish pizzas INCHICAGO! I love the sausage and mushroom with Gorgonzola– it’s so yummy! They have pretty good hoagies too!

Pizza’s decent, but their wings are stupidly expensive($ 1 for each teeny bonless wing). Also, their website rarely works. Trying to order a pizza right now but it won’t let me. «There was an error trying to order items at the store. These items have been highlighted on the receipt for your review. Please remove them to continue ordering.» It’s a medium pepperoni pizza, don’t you have that?

I love Davanni’s pizza! Awesome Chicago-style pizza, with a nice, thick crust; crisp and flaky on the outside, soft and light on the inside. Buried in delicious toppings. Bring an appetite! I try to eat at Davanni’s any time I’m visiting MSP, and sometimes I get extra to take home. All the Davanni’s restaurants I’ve been to have been excellent. This just happens to be the location I go to the most. Their service has always been good to me – nice, courteous, and no problems with any of my orders, including the ones where I got several par-baked pizzas to take home.

Quick counter service Italian. Huge variety of hot hoagies and pizza creations. Quick, friendly, and tasty. Add in a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine and you’ve got a winning option for a quick Italian meal.

For as expensive as this pizza is, it should taste like something. The dough is tough and heavy, the sauce might as well be straight from a can of Hunt’s Tomato Paste, and the breadsticks are indescribably awful lumps of dough. I LOVEPIZZA. It should not be difficult to make a pizza that I will love, but this proves that even if you have expensive pizza, it isn’t necessarily going to be any better than popping a $ 2 frozen pizza in the oven. True they have all sorts of toppings, but the pizza itself is terrible. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still going to oink. Skip this place and save yourself the heartache of bad pizza masquerading under a hefty price tag. The only reason I gave them a second star is because the service was fantastic.

This is the go-to place for meals when hanging out at Fairview Riverside Hospital across the street, mostly because of limited options in the general vicinity(other than hospital food). The pizza and hoagies are are good and it is nice to have a place to sit and talk away from a hospital room or lounge area. Unfortunately we have had to spend a lot of time at the hospital over the years and this Davanni’s gives us one thing to look forward to as we prepare for long days and nights sitting in the hospital. The only problem is that we don’t make a big deal about going to Davanni’s when visiting the hospital so as to minimize the potential disappointment of the family member who happens to be in the hospital at that time.

I’m not easily impressed with a food as every-day as pizza. But Davanni’s Mediterranean deep-dish white pizza is an impressive thing.

Blah Humbug! A bunch of my office colleagues decided to place an order for lunch. Who knew it would be so hard to order lunch for 4 people? By the time all of the drama with ordering was done, lunch was almost over. First off, they kept arguing that the«other» locations were closer, but wouldn’t pin down which one. Uptown, DT. Honestly from where our office is located this was the closest. Driver arrived about 40 minutes later with a severe attitude saying that we gave him the wrong address and points up to a street sign like we are absolute morons. I later called to confirm what address was given and surprise, we HAD given him the correct address. Food was cold by the time it had arrived and lunch was technically over. While I do enjoy Davanni’s pizza and the occasional hoagie, we will not be ordering from this location ever again. The white garlic pizza is amazing and a nice alternative to red sauce which I’m not a big fan of. Service left much to be desired from the driver and the person taking the order.

Being from the Pacific Northwest, this was my first experience with Chicago-style pizza. I have to say, however, that I am pleased. Decently priced, not TOO greasy, and it definitely tasted good. This is a great place to order from if you’re craving pizza, but sick of the giant national chains.

Their pizzas are pretty good — I used to eat a ton of the deep dish pizza in high school, but my favorite pizza now is Punch Pizza. The sandwiches are okay if you don’t wait too long before eating them. Davanni’s isn’t my favorite place for pizza or subs, but they offer a consistently«pretty good» food experience. I would probably give them 3 stars based on the food alone, but I like that they do community service events like talking to students in local schools so 4 stars for them!

Deep dish pizza is to die for. The crust must be made entirely of butter. It’s perfectly spongy and not super doughy so that you have to sprain your jaw trying to chew through it. Tons of sauce and cheese. Might be my new favorite pizza of all time, but I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve had Red’s Savoy.

Good stuff. I wouldn’t say the pizza is as delectable as the Luce, but then again, what is better in Minneapolis than Luce? The prices are also slightly cheaper in comparison. Davanni’s does have the white sauce that a garlic aficionado adores. And a monster deep-dish for those that can’t live without carbs. I’m more of a traditionally crusty gal. *wink* Go to their website — and sign up for their birthday club. You get a free 1-topping solo pizza once a year until you croak.

Like all Davanni’s locations, these are some of the best pizza, lasagna and salads available to you. Eat in if you like. There is an upstairs where you can have a view of the surroundings which can be fun.
