This was my first event too. Most of the people I met were new or guests of Unilocalers. Sarah is awesome! Although, from the way she looks in one month you’ll never guess she had a baby. Very annoying. WXYZ is beautiful. I was really impressed with the tall furniture. The bar staff were great and Steve gave me a free coke, because I don’t drink. I know an Irish-​Italian who doesn’t drink is missing a chromosome somewhere. I like this part of mpls. and hope there are future events here. Thank you Sarah!

I positively loved the wxyz bar. I can’t wait to go back.
The Unilocal Libs were ingenious. The games looked super fun, but we got there late so we didn’t participate.
I enjoyed one of each of the two complimentary shots offered. Both were delicious but much, much sweeter than I typically like my booze.
Great job once again, Sarah P! And thanks for the Unilocal Elite sweatshirt! It’s much cooler than I imagined.

A fun night! Great choice of venue. Cool, yet cozy atmosphere, and lots for people to entertain themselves with. The Unilocal Libs were a real hoot. Quesadillas were yummy and the Schell’s Lager really hit the spot, even though I found myself tempted to go for the Summit Winter Ale on tap. Thanks, Sarah, for all the work you put into the event, and for allowing me to mingle with the elite, if only for one evening ;-)

The drinks were weak but I found a way to get past that — just drink more. Oops.
Anyway, I know I’m super anti-​social but I did have a good time. I can’t say the same thing about my current situation, though. Free drinks + needing to be at work at 6:30 am? It’s almost 10 and this is the first time I’ve lifted my head off of my desk since I got here.

This was a great event! Sarah did a fantastic job organizing games, a great dj, and a Toys for Tots toy drive. I don’t think I have ever been allowed to play Baggo in a bar before. That gets bonus points right there. The wxyz bar is trendy yet nonintimidating. The drinks were delicious. I highly recommend trying the Blueberry infused Vodka. Yum! I will definitely be back for that cocktail.
Thanks for the fun event! I look forward to another Unilocal party!

As usual this was a totaly awesome event. I had a great time meeting some new Unilocalers and playing Unilocal Libs, giant connect four, and Candy Land. I remember Candy Land being much more invovled, but then again I was probably 6 the last time I played.
I dug the comfy atmosphere, perfect for a Unilocal event.

What a great time. The place felt super warm, which was great due to how cold it was outside. Fun atmosphere, as I expected, with some fun and comfortable areas to sit and enjoy the people you’re with.
I found the drinks to be a little weak. And not just mine, everyone in my party’s. Certainly can be overcome, but did notice.
GREAT music and such a fun vibe.
Good seeing such a wonderful turnout as well, especially pre-​Holidays and to close the year out right.
Looking forward to 2009 after what I saw last night.

Thank you Sarah and Colleen for putting on such a great event. The Unilocal mad libs were super cool! It was fun to hear you reading off the ones for the raffle winners.
I was impressed with how well the Toys for Tots drive went. Very nice!
Honestly it was fun to watch all the Unilocalers playing games. I saw some Hungry Hungry Hippo action, Jenga, scrabble and a pretty intense chess game going on. On our way to our car we spotted a giant Jenga game and a bean bag toss game too! How fun!
The bar was really cool. It was a great location for a Unilocal event!

This was a freakin’ blast! To play Hungry Hungry Hippos again would have been enough, but to hang out with all my fellow Unilocalers, and play giant Connect Four with Andy G (where do you even buy that?!), eat free quesadillas and drink Schell’s Lager (see my Schell’s Brewery review), makes this a spectacular evening. Thank you to the Unilocal Gods for making this evening happen. My only regret is not winning a gift card (I’m poor). Thanks, Sarah P. for a great event night!

As always, Sarah put on a fantastic party and good times were had by all. I think so anyway. I’m not very social so I didn’t talk to too many people. I also didn’t get the buzz that I got at the last Elite event, but I think I may be learning portion control.
As for the bar itself, it was pretty cool. A little too fancy for my usual NE style, but great none the less.
The sinks in the bathroom were pretty neat-​o. They looked like something I used to eat Fruity Pebbles out of.
Ok, that’s it. I’m going to bed now. Goodnight moon.
