Established in 2004.

HARMONY offers: acting, improv, filmmaking, and music classes for all ages. HARMONY has developed a unique curriculum that incorporates numerous acting games and professional theatre activities to awaken the inner artist in any student joining HARMONY’s classes. These classes help him/​her develop the skills needed to be a successful performer on stage and a confident person in everyday life.

HARMONY Theatre has created 20 stage productions (a total of 94 performances), produced series of short films, and a documentary — and «it is the content that really stuns,» says Edina Magazine. The majority of the performances have been new original work, including two historical dramas based on World War II stories, live-​off-​the-​air radio plays, and silent films in the style of the 1920s — 1930s. HARMONY has also staged original adaptations for youth audiences, including «The Little Prince» and Shakespeare’s plays.

I enjoy the classes here. They teach you improv skills by *doing* rather than just listening.
The fundamentals of improv are also taught in both the Beginner and Intermediate classes. You’ll be doing exercises that seem silly at first but help you become a better Improv’er in the end.
I recommend the class to shy and outgoing people alike. The exercises have a way of allowing one to come out of their shell and also improve upon one’s out-​going-​ness.

Harmony Theatre is great! I recommend it for any kids — beginners or advanced! They have a variety of classes including improv and music. The teachers are all wonderful and are truly caring. The plays they put on are also excellent to watch. They are educational as well as entertaining. They preform all around the Twin Cities, I recommend going to the next performance or joining a class!
