Alterations and repairs. I do Wedding and formal wear. Military uniforms, Airline uniforms and kids Scout uniforms. Some leather work. Replace zippers, hems, patching tears, What ever fits under my machine.

History

Established in 1985.

Grew up in the neighborhood and decided I would take over the business when I got old enough. So in 1985 I bought the business from the owner who had been there 30 years and was retiring.

He told me the owner before him had been there 30 years too. Fourteen years ago I moved to my currant location. I have been sewing professionally for over forty years.

I have been sewing since my Mom let me have a needle and thread. Both my parents sewed. I took sewing at Roosevelt High School and made a suit in my last year. Then Post High I went to Vocational Downtown learning Apparel Arts. Worked for a Bridal shop and then for a Tailor shop. So I know lady’s and men’s wear. Did a few years with a partner and then took over this place on my own after my children were born. Next year it will be 30 years for me on 34^th Avenue. This neighborhood is home.
