Metropolitan Ballroom and Clubroom

I finally had an opportunity to see the inside of this space for an oscars-​inspired gala… talk about a swanky event space!
Throughout the night, we were ushered from one space to the next. The whole space has a vintage, gatsby-​esque vibe to it. There’s a spacious entry for guests to acclimate, be greeted by the hosts, check coats, etc. before being ushered into a larger cocktail mingling area with lots of windows. After getting checked in, we moved into the largest open space for mingling — I believe this is the ballroom. The event I was attending had rows of tables set up here for a silent auction, plus a bar in the corner and a short film loop showing on the opposite wall. There’s a third room for additional mingling, that also serves as transition space between the ballroom, dining room, and bathrooms. The dining room is absolutely the pinnacle of this event venue though. Leather-​padded French entrance doors, tiered seating spaces that provide everyone a view of the front stage, swanky red carpet… fancy schmancy!
My only gripe is that there were a few décor details I wasn’t crazy about. The tapestries in the dining hall for example, weren’t as gorgeous as the rest of the space. Grand and stylistically decade appropriate, yes. Beautiful, no.
Really though, this space was the perfect option for a swanky gala.

Attended a really nice annual meeting event here. What a nice venue and great catering.

I am on the board of a professional networking organization and have been coming to the Met Ballroom every month for the past few years. Parking is plentiful and free in their private lot. They are easy to access, right off 394 and near Hwy 100. The food is delicious (we have smoked salmon, bagels with cream cheese, cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and soda). The service is prompt and friendly, but without getting in the way of our meeting.

Went to a wedding reception, not too long ago, at the Metropolitan Ballroom and Clubroom. Convenient location, right off of 494 in Golden Valley.
Very nice place, wait staff was extremely friendly. Food was awesome. Hors d’œuvre were delicious.
