Mohawk Moving & Storage

This is a copy of the letter I sent to Mohawk after my interstate move:
I just finished unpacking my boxes from Minneapolis and am breathing huge sighs of relief. Everything arrived in perfect condition with fantastic service the entire time. Mohawk and its affiliates were all punctual, professional, courteous, and efficient, not to mention the price was affordable compared to other estimates I received. I would recommend you to anybody! I’ve heard so many horror stories about moves that I was bracing myself for a disaster, but you exceeded my expectations in every way.
Thank you for providing excellent service!!! We need more moving companies like Mohawk!

This was my last company to deal with for my final MILITARY move. Nancy Matson is «running» this place apparently. On at least 4 occasions she claimed she would send me an invoice so i could pay the company and did not. I also requested one in person and again never received it. Then i scheduled the delivery of my goods with Nancy, She assured me everything would be done and that she was going out of town so someone else would be handling her accounts. Well when i talked to the person handling her accounts it became apparent that she never even scheduled my delivery before she went on vacation, causing me to have to shift my schedule around for a second time to accommodate a new move date. I would NEVER USE THEM again and would recommend the same to anyone I care about.

They supplied guys for my move who couldn’t be better. I moved from Virginia and the mayflower driver hire brothers from here who worked super hard all day long. Thanks

The loading crew showed up late to pack my furniture for shipping. Didn’t protect any of my expensive wood furniture so it was scarred and gashed upon arrival.
I had to call the guys that were loading the truck to come back and load a bed frame and table top before they left so they wouldn’t leave it behind.
Some items were misplaced during shipping.
The driver was pretty nice but it didn’t make up for the hassles and nasty surprise of having my furniture trashed.

As part of United Van Lines, Mohawk was the final company that handled my shipment during my international move. They were very pleasant and communicative via email and phone, and did a great job on the day of delivery. They were fast and efficient, and took great care of my possessions. They even protected the doorjambs and the flooring before they started carrying in boxes, which is something I hadn’t seen a moving company do before. They offered to take away all of the packing materials and made doubly sure that every last item on the shipping manifest was indeed delivered. From unwieldy furniture to vinyl records to heirloom glassware, everything arrived in pristine condition.
One of the deliverymen told me about how they once moved a grand piano unscathed in to a newly restored, but not easily accessible attic room. Mohawk are the guys to call when you have a tricky location or unusual items to move!
Moving is stressful, but their friendly and highly professional service made me really happy.

They said they could do the job, but the guy came out for an estimate and I never heard from him until I called several times when he said they could not do it. A moving company that says they cannot move our stuff. I just wonder what will happen when I call a plumber. They don’t like to get their hands wet?

Don’t waste your time. They will string you along for as long as they can then they drop the bomb that they can’t help you. They waste your time by telling yes absolutely they can help you but need to send someone out to give you an in-​home estimate. Guy comes out and then continues to string you long by saying he will have quote to you either that evening or early the next day. Finally when pressed he says he can’t do the job. Head office still says they have availability. Hmmmm. Hoping to string along until you are desperate then they can charge you more. The only reason they got 1 star is because zero wasn’t an option.
