Established in 1991.

Pop-​A-​Lock was born in 1991 when local law enforcement agents in Lafayette, Louisiana recognized the need for a car door unlocking service in their community. Since then, Pop-​A-​Lock has grown to become the largest professional locksmithing franchise in the country. Our original Lafayette location is now the national training facility and corporate headquarters for Pop-​A-​Lock.

While our main focus is on emergency locksmith services, automobile lockout services and emergency roadside services, we also provide a full range of services related to every aspect of locksmithing.

Locked my keys in my car at 9:00 o’clock on a cold night… what’s a guy to do? Check Unilocal for the best car unlocking service. Pop-​A-​Lock had good reviews so I tried them out. Driver arrived ahead of schedule, open my car quick and easy (almost too quick and easy… lol). Would have preferred to pay less, would have preferred to not have locked myself out in the first place. But if you find yourself stranded, these guys are quick and professional.

They got here super fast, got the door open super fast; before I was eaten alive by mosquitoes. Their pricing is fair, the same as it would cost if you purchased your own kit. You could just have your spare key where you can find it, unlike me. All in all friendly, fast service.

My mom locked her keys and purse in the car before going to work in the morning. Our complimentary AAA lock-​out service had expired for the year and they want $ 75. Another locksmith quoted $ 85.
I called Pop-​A-​Lock and Bev quickly gave me a quote of $ 49.95. She was super sweet.
The locksmith arrived only 15 minutes after the call. He was very kind, he even told me where I could get a decent deal on copying my mother’s car key.
All-​in-​all fast, friendly and affordable service.

They were relatively fast, considering I was locked out of my house on a Friday evening, and they got me inside. Unfortunately, the locksmith was also extremely rude and condescending. For example, he felt the need to explain that every door has a doorknob. I lost my temper and used an obscenity, after which he told me to find another locksmith and hung up. A few minutes later, the dispatcher called and told me they would be by in a few minutes. After the locksmith arrived, he was unable to pick the lock and had to replace the deadbolt. The entire cost came to $ 110, and the locksmith asked me if I wanted to replace the doorknob after I had already told him once very clearly that I wasn’t interested.

I was unfortunate enough to lock my keys in my car this morning, but fortunately I decided to call Pop-​A-​Lock. A Pop-​A-​Lock employee arrived and had my car unlocked within 30 minutes of my call.
Excellent and speedy service and super-​friendly employees! I’m out $ 50 bucks (which is pretty reasonable), but it was worth every penny to have my car unlocked so quickly. They also accept credit cards, which was very convenient since I didn’t have cash on me.
I highly recommend Pop-A-Lock’s services if you ever pull a ditz move like I did and lock your keys in your vehicle!

These guys are FAST, professional, and fairly priced.
I have a serious problem with locking my keys in my car. By a serious problem, I mean it’s likely to happen at least two times a month. That being said, I’ve experienced a lot of locksmiths in my day, some who have ripped me off, other’s who have been shockingly unprofessional. This is not the case with PopALock.
The woman who took my information on the phone was kind and quick. They showed up within 30 minutes, just as she explained. Total came to just a little above $ 50, which is significantly less than any other service. The entire transaction all together took a total of 3 minutes, and then I was on my way. A few of the guys carry with key-​duplicating devices and you can get copies for super cheap. This is obviously something I need to look into.
Super bonus: They do free unlocking if there’s a child or an animal stuck in the car. This is the best place to call if you ever have a problem with keys, nowhere else in the Twin cities can beat the price and service!

We recently decided to change our locks since they were the same ones from 1952 or so, when our house was built. I honestly wasn’t sure it could be done! We had two locks that needed new cores, and we needed 4 keys made.
They showed up on time, were polite, did the work quickly, didn’t make a mess, and billed us a total of $ 85 for the whole thing– pretty reasonable, in my opinion. (Once they’re at the house, additional locks are $ 15 each, I think they said.)
