History

Established in 1971.

Quest Engineering’s history is, in fact, a great American success story. It’s one of vision, growth and innovation, along with a constant focus on exceeding customer expectations. In 1971, the company was founded in the Twin Cities by Pete Kinney. In 1982, we established a branch in Virginia, Minnesota. Robust sales growth quickly led the company to expand beyond Minnesota’s borders in 1985, adding locations in Mandan, North Dakota, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In 1997, we proudly received ISO certification, a recognition of our devotion to ultimate quality and customer satisfaction. More growth and innovation carried us through the 2000’s. In 2013, the company was purchased by Scott Swenson and Cynthia Baier. This dynamic management team will chart an exciting new course for Quest and help write the next chapter in our company legacy.
