They have one of the best set of home brewed beers. food was ok. service was good. If you want to have some good beers and ok food, this is the place

Food lacks favor and taste. Don’t the guacamole or anything Mexican or the fries. Our waiter had to be hunted down in order for service. He seemed more attentive to the game than his guest. Will never be back.

Could I give it less than one star? Checked in, waited at my table for about 20 minutes. Was completely ignored so I left without any service.

HORRIBLE late night menu. All food is fried or greasy. No salad options. No veg options. Overall, I would only go for bar drinks.

I was a little squeamish coming here with my husband. I’m not a big fan of chain anything, but we got hooked by there happy hour menu and decided to take a chance. It was way better than what I expected. They have a huuuge menu, too big if you ask me. Don’t get the southwestern egg rolls, mine were mushy and no beuno… but other than that, service was excellent since there were only two of them from what I could see and they had about 8 tables each. I was worried that there wasn’t enough staff but our food came out promptly and our server was very attentive.

I’ve been here about 3 – 4 times, the first couple of times were just meh. Food was okay and beer wasn’t really anything special. The last time I came here though left a bad taste in my mouth(Literally and figuratively). I went with my boyfriend and his mom and got waited on by a fairly young man. When we got our food we were pretty disappointed. I got a burger which was cooked well-done even though I asked for medium rare, my boyfriend got something with salmon which was just badly cooked, and his poor mother got a dish that was just inedible(really wish I could remember what it was). The problem with this was when she told our waiter that she was upset with her food. All he said was«Sorry…» Yup, that’s it. We all waited for him to say something else, like offer another dish or SOMETHING. But nah, just a really pathetic excuse of an apology. After he left my boyfriend and I offered to track a manger down, since she barely touched her meal and she shouldn’t have to pay, but she insisted we get going and so we left without tipping. Really like the general vibe of this place, but nothing is really worth coming back for.

I went here today for a coworkers farewell lunch. Our server Donna was so sweet and made me a beautiful hot chocolate drink. Our table ordered a variety of things but it all came out at the same time which was great. A few of us(who didn’t have afternoon meetings), ordered beer and enjoyed it. The table for chips and guacamole to start. The guacamole was great, perfectly ripe and not too salty. I would have liked more lime but that’s just me. I got the chicken enchiladas which comes with three enchiladas, rice and beans with toppings. They have a red sauce and salsa verde you get in the side. This was great because it allowed me to dip my food rather than have it smothered. I ended up eating because they were so filling. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. If you order the quesadilla you only need to order one. They give you a half– two pieces, so it’s filling with that. Overall it’s a decent place to go for lunch. Nothing spectacular or authentically Mexican but it works, and the service is great.

They had some nice seasonal beer options. Got a chicken avocado bacon sandwich which was good. Fries are kind of intensely salty. Service was a little slow, funny since we were the only table in that whole section. Server must have needed a smoke or something.

Will not be returning… restaurant was ok but the staff was not great. I accidentally left a pair of sunglasses there the other night when dining and of course they never showed up in their lost and found… I’ve been telling friends about it and will not be returning

Fresh food, good service! The salmon with mushroom sauce was excellent! The fries tasted good as well. I started the meal with a tossed Caesar salad that was also very fresh! Compliments to my waiter, Seth, for his good service and recommendations! You have the option of taking a table on the sidewalk or sitting inside.

Good beer, although the beer I wanted was not available although it was heavily advertised. I got the veggie tacos… Very okay. Just average food, nothing special. Great service!

Three stars for a chain is essentially like 5 stars from me for a real restaurant. In order to get me to eat food from a chain that I can’t drive-thru, you have to promise me sexual favors and a pony. My boyfriend still owes me that goddamn pony. We order from this place like once a month via BiteSquad because they have this obscene burger than Brandon loves called the Smashed & Stacked burger — it comes with ALL the pickles, cheddar cheese, onions, and secret sauce. And because we’re soul mates, he always throws bacon on it. He loves this burger. It isn’t on par with a Red Cow burger, but it appeals to his inner fat kid and I can appreciate that because I also have an inner fat kid. I like their jalapeño breadsticks — they appear to be made in house, they’re super buttery, and come with cheesy dip. As far as their burgers go — I’m just whatever about them. Their Maker’s Mark burger is pretty decent — gorgonzola(fuck yes) and fried onion straws(fuck yes squared), but the sauce is sweet and as pointless as air ventilation systems in a smoke-filled casino(shout out to Dita). The classic burger is pretty damn good — cheddar, lettuce, onions, and pickles. Hold the tomato, because no. Just no. Tomatoes are the devil. Their french fries and onion rings are both greasy and fried well — they aren’t the best french fries or onion rings I’ve ever eaten, but they certainly aren’t the worst either. The real issue here is that no one in the kitchen at Rock Bottom can temp fucking meat. I like my burgers medium rare… that means show me that warm pink center(heh). However, my burgers always show up damn near mooing and colder than my heart. Rock Bottom y u no have meat thermometer? I shouldn’t have to partially cook a burger in my broiler so I don’t get a disease. That’s some bullshit. Their carrot cake is pretty fuckable. It’s like $ 7 and they give you a slice that’s big enough to feed a starving family in Africa. Can’t complain about that. Solid effort. Learn to cook hamburgers properly, asshats. I think I’m gonna name my pony Colonel Fancypants.

Agreed to meet a date here for dinner and drinks. Normally I stay away from chain restaurants, but I was feeling hopeful and wanted to give this guy a chance to redeem himself after our last date when he realized after getting the bill that he forgot/lost his bank card. Arrived around 5pm on a Wednesday, and opted for the dining area over the very loud and packed bar. However the flickering lights in the brew area and pack of 12 – 15 year old boys roaming around made me second guess my choice. The first beer I inquire about, an Evergreen IPA, our waiter Eduardo, or was it Ricardo? interrupts my question to inform me they don’t have it. I go with the house IPA and my date whipped out his membership card and we were able to upgrade from a 16oz to pints, served room temperature in a warm to the touch mug. I ordered the Jack Daniel’s burger and a side of coleslaw. Burger was tasteless, and my side of coleslaw could have fit in a paper ketchup cup, and by far some of the worst I’ve ever tasted. The sauce accompanying my burger gave it some help, however I’m sure it was loaded with a week’s worth of sodium. I’m giving this place 2 stars because the staff was pleasant even after my date’s card was declined.

Alright. Food wise, ordered some Salmon thing, and my partner ordered a burger. I don’t recommend the Salmon. It was meh. Very dry, and honestly complete crap. The mashed potatoes were alright but they were slightly cold. I had steamed veggies with it which were alright. Order of enjoyment of food for me. 1. Mashed potatoes. 2. Steamed veggies. 3. The sauce that came with the Salmon. 4. My water glass. 5. The salmon. If you can infer; it was pretty bad. My partner’s burger was actually rather tasty. It was the Jalapeño Smokin Burger. The Jalapenos were pretty hot and the burger was VERY juicy.(Unlike the Salmon). They ordered fries with the burger which was alright. I will most likely not be coming back again unless if I have a craving for a burger or chicken.(They have a lot of chicken items on the menu)

Pass. You don’t need to visit a chain on Hennepin Ave. Sunday afternoon mid-day meal for family birthday party/Vikings game. The place was busy, but not crazily so considering there was a Vikings and Twins game. So, I don’t know if other RBB are different, but what’s the point of being open on a Sunday at 11am if you just have a lunch/dinner menu? Seriously, serve some brunch. We were a big group, which worked pretty well. We ordered some jalapeño pretzel sticks, which were tasty, but 2 pet peeves. First, our server was like your app will be right out. and 10 mins pass by. So, either she got caught up in something else or was like they’ll be right out to try and be friendly rather than actually knowing the status. Then the sticks came out with the cheese in the spinach dip which was all congealed(which goes back to the server getting caught up in something.) and our entrée came out like 5 minutes later so we had to do the do we eat our apps and let our food get cold, or just ignore the apps. It’s not the end of the world, and probably seems whiney on my part, but it’s poor coordination. I ordered the Southwest Turkey Burger which was not good. It wasn’t bad, but it had no flavor. For something with fried jalapeños and pepper jack cheese, it should’ve been mildly spicy or at minimum, flavorful. I had a few bites and decided the pretzel bites were a better use of my time. Person next to me had the Bruschetta chicken, which seemed to be a tastier option. Smelled like Balsamic and garlic.

Charming and interesting. I loved the food selection and everything sounded so good. We just had a few appetizers. fish tacos: simple and tasty. Really good if you throw some habenero shrimp in there. habenero shrimp: not spicy at all but good. ahi tuna: too much sauce for me, but I love sashimi style tuna. So I’ll back off jalepeno pretzel sticks: my favorite out of everything. Not spicy just delicious. Jalepeno lemonades weren’t spicy at all. The peppers tasted sweet, probably from the lemonade. But I appreciate the freshness. And of course, the donut holes for dessert were amazing. Our server was a sweetheart and everyone else was pleasant. Great place, hopefully be back for dinner!

I came here to pre-game for a concert. I’m glad this was next to the theater I was visiting, because I had wanted to stop here for quite some time. This was on my list of breweries to visit even though it is more of a chain. Although it didn’t really have that chain restaurant feeling to it. The atmosphere was very much pub-like. We, of course, ordered a flight of beers(each). I wish I didn’t leave my flight paper there, as we labeled and scored all the beers on their pre-printed flight board. It was very cool for a craft beer lover like myself to see that they take their beers seriously. I found a couple that I like and the rest were average to my taste buds. I believe it was the Red that was my favorite. Give that one a try if you’re there. Their Brown ale was also very good as a runner up. For food I ordered the spiciest burger they had, impressively named the«Just Hot Enough» Burger. If it was packing heat, I don’t know where they put it. I get tired of places labeling food as hot and it just doesn’t deliver. Get out of your Minnesota hot and get the dang habenaros out! While I could have asked for a sauce to make it a little spicier, the waitress was very busy and we didn’t see much of her. When we did see her, she was nice enough to answer our questions about the place. If she wasn’t so busy she would have even given us a tour of the brewery. She did direct us in the right direction however but our time was running short and we didn’t see all of it. This is perhaps a reason to stop back in the future. When it was all said and done, I left with a growler of the Red and had a successful pre-game.

Great place for some Happy Hour beers and food. Though not my first choice for the those two items in downtown Minneapolis, I followed some work colleagues here just in time for Happy Hour. $ 2 off their in-house brewed beers and a few bucks off their ample sized list of appetizers. Between the three of us, we had the Calamari, Chicken Tenders and Quesadilla. The Calamari was tasty. I’m not much into dipping it in the tomato sauce, but the squeeze of lemon was good. A rather good & tasty portion for $ 7. The chicken tenders scored well too. Tasty, very light batter. Quesadilla was good as well. The appetizers and beer were plenty, so didn’t venture onto the main menu. The beers here are the main event. There is always a list of regular brews being tapped, but all through the calendar, other specialties are tapped as they become ready. 4 stars for matching my expectations of some Happy Hour tasty apps and a couple brews. Outside of Happy Hour, well, I’d opt for other notable downtown Minneapolis Gastropubs.
