Shoe Zoo

Ordered a couple of shoes from the website. Was a breeze! I actually called with questions and got really good guidance and advice from the lady on the other end.

Like another Unilocaler, I wanted to support this local business but I just can’t go back! The first time I tried going the door was locked and a sign said something along the lines of ‘back in an hour.’ Assuming lunch break for a single employee? As I got in my car I saw another woman get her kiddo all unbuckled from the carseat and then also get flustered by the locked door and the accompanying message! Frustrating for people who have a limited amount of time to get errands done, and who wants to buckle and unbuckle their kid for no reason?
Second time I tried going (it was open!) I made the mistake of trying to bring our stroller inside — store is NOT stroller friendly in the least. I found the layout confusing a little messy.
Third time I found out there are no refunds for returns, only store credit.
Overall this place is just too inconvenient for me to go back.

Good selection. .horrible layout.. Staff needs personality and a good lesson in customer service.. Owner should go to Nordstrom & take notes.

I always have the best experience in this store! The selection is amazing and they are experts at fitting and customer service. I get so many compliments on my little girls shoes, all from Shoe Zoo. The quality of the shoes is outstanding. Giving an extra star based on latest experience.

We really wanted to support a local business, but this place needs help. Bravo TV, get Tabitha in here, stat. First impressions: horrifically disorganized and messy. Yes they have a TON of very cute shoes for kids of all ages, but it is worse than a Marshalls in here… it’s a crazy shambles. When we entered on a Sunday afternoon, there were only two other moms in there with their kids, and the (solo) man working there seemed frazzled, holding multiple boxes of shoes in his arms and exclaiming loudly that he couldn’t remember which customer was which. Again, there were only two moms in there.
The shoes in here are very pricey, but they are US brands like Keens, Teva, See Kai Run etc and then a bunch of Euro brands you’ve probably never heard of. However, in the days of internet shopping, I’m only going to pay $ 90 for shoes that won’t fit my son for more than six months IF I am offered a truly special experience in your store. That means a tidy, clean, pleasant display of shoes, and a sales assistant that knows what s/​he is doing. It didn’t happen in this shop. Back to
we go.

I can’t dispute the negative reviews of Shoe Zoo. Honestly, the first time I walked in the store, I turned around and walked right back out. But I have a passion for beautiful shoes. So I tried it again. And again. And again. I am a fan.
I agree that the store is disorganized and bursting at the seams. The outlet upstairs is overwhelming. But I have found some incredibly cute shoes for my girls there for good prices, and they constantly get compliments on their shoes.
What I like about this store: cute, well-​made shoes by my favorite brands: Umi, Aster, Primigi, Camper, Kenzo, Havaianas and Moschino; helpful, friendly staff who listen to what I am looking for and work hard to help me find it; it’s locally-​owned and operated; and it’s convenient to get to.
If you’re willing to accept a less-​than-​immaculate store and take a little time to poke around, you’ll find some very cute shoes for your kids and feel good about supporting a local business who strives to offer a wide selection of quality merchandise at a good value.

Ive been shopping the shoe zoo for a year for my twin girls…
I have had mixed experiences from Great to Shocked at how horrible the selection is.
The store is set up more like a thrift shop, with products in disarray every time I have been in. I was turned off by this the first time, but i figured they were remodeling…
I want my kids to be comfortable in their shoes because they cant tell me where it hurts so I shell out extra money for the good stuff. AKA Prices are High.
The staff are kind of «odd» too…

I took my 23 month old son here to use a mega group type coupon. If you like arrogant Europeans scoffing at us «ignorant» Americans, then this is the place for you.
Whatever you do, don’t go upstairs! It’s not for the faint of heart. Believe me, you have been warned.
I still regret the $ 90 purchase for the two pairs that my kid’ll outgrow in a year. But it was better to get out with some dignity than to let him demoralize us even more.

Lots of great shoes. Prices are okay but lots of good shoes are on «sale». It is the messiest stores one could imagine! Be prepared to dig!

Damn, kids are costly. They grow so quickly, and before you know it, once again your dropping a hundred bucks on essentials. Shoes are an example of such essential. Apparently toddlers feet need special flexible soles, and for that reason it’s better to buy one or two good pairs every quarter. Now we want nothing but the best for our little one, and so we went to Shoe Zoo. They have a fantastic selection of shoes. TD4. I wish I were a millionaire so I could buy them all for her. A rainbow of colors and styles. Our service has never been awesome, but the product is.
Thrifty tip: They have an outlet upstairs! It’s crazy difficult to maneuver, but worth the work.
