The usual… good strong coffee and a few sweets to choose from. Nice and quick service though at this location on the Skyways of Minneapolis. The peeps working the store were very nice… and the store was bright and clean. This location is on the second floor of a Target store in downtown Minneapolis. Get your coffee and start shopping.

Great, quick service even during the morning rush. The people were friendly and accommodating to any special orders. The space was clean and bright and very well decorated. As far as mega-chains go when it comes to finding a good coffee shop, this is one of the best choices you’ll find attached to the skyway downtown.

I swung by this location a little after 11AM on a weekday to grab a large(excuse me, venti) cold press, right before my 11:30AM meeting across the street. Since I was the second person in line, you think it would take only a minute or two before it was my turn to order. However, the barista wanted to talk about his jeans or something with the customer in front of me. That’s fine, if that was the only customer. Not cool, if there’s five to six people in line. A whole five minutes later, it was my turn to order: Me: «Hi, I would like to order a large cold press please.» Barista: «Nope. Sorry. Don’t have it.» Me: «Really? How do you know? You didn’t even look.» Barista: «I could just give you some iced coffee.» Me: «Really?» Barista: «Really.» Me: «I guess that will do.» After our brief convo, I waited about seven minutes for my iced coffee. During the first several minutes, I saw the person in front of me get her order. That means, it took about three to four minutes to pour some Americano over some ice. Look, I’m a reasonable guy and know that I might be coming off as an a**hole for demanding that his crappy iced coffee be served under seven minutes. But for the love of God, this is a Starbucks! And when compared to other Starbucks locations, the staff work much faster and have a better attitude. I’m sure this spacious location is great for downtowners and their meetings. But for me, I can’t give this location anything higher than two stars. If you’re looking for fast service around 11AM, this might not be your best bet.

Working at Target and being a coffee addict, I have spent a great deal of time(and too much money) here over the past 4 years. I’ve come to feel that while the City Center location executes on the Starbucks basics reasonably well, they don’t go much beyond that. The space is dark and dated, but that wouldn’t be a problem if the staff were more friendly. Honestly, many of the staff members are just kinda crabby. I’d love to be a «regular» but typically they don’t make much effort to connect, even though I used to come here multiple times per day. Unless you work at City Center and want«official» Starbucks without walking too far, try the IDS location.
