Nearly 20 years of grooming experience, and regular continuing education make our grooming stand heads and tails above the rest! We are the cat groomer that vets and other groomers recommend and use. Our boarding suites are like home and offer the highest level of cat care.

History

Established in 2014.

The Cat’s Meow was an idea borne out of a need for experienced, professional cat grooming and care in the Twin Cities area. The owner, Jennifer, has groomed cats for 16 years, often the only stylist in each salon who groomed cats. She opened a mobile grooming business, Paws At Your Door, in 2010. Cats are a huge part of that business, but unfortunately it could not meet the demands of all the cat calls in the metro area, being a south metro service area. Seeing that there was a huge gap in services for felines in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Jennifer decided to attend additional school to be the most trained cat groomer in the state. Then she opened The Cat’s Meow, and so many clients are thankful to have a professional able to safely board and groom their cats, which they were unable to find otherwise. Jennifer is a firm believer that cats should not be treated as second class citizens in grooming salons, and that cats deserve the highest quality grooming, just as dogs do.

Business Owner

Jennifer A is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer, one of only a handful in the state. She is a member of the national cat groomers association of America, and the national dog groomers association of America. These organizations provide continuing education and professional development. She has groomed pets since 1995. She has been a grooming instructor in some of the best grooming schools in the country, and has two certificates of grooming, as well as two certificates in grooming instruction. She is sought out to teach continuing education to groomers on both dogs and cats, and is active in the world of dog and cat shows. She is a Licensed UKC dog show judge, and breeds and shows standard poodles. She also shows the salon cats to many wins in the household pet classes. The Cat’s Meow is her third successful pet grooming business, and her focus on professionalism and education is much of the reason for those successes.
