My bridesmaids and I felt so beautiful this past weekend at my wedding thanks to Erin, Jen and Jen. They are truly talented and so sweet. Definitely recommend!

It’s hard to find sophisticated, yet relaxed salons that can also give you great hair cuts! I come back to The Loft because Jen C. pays attention to the details and works with me to give me what i want. I get the individual attention and patience of someone who loves what they do and aims to always do a great job.
Not to mention the salon itself is adorable and comes with drinks.

Erin and Jen were fantastic for my wedding! They came to our hotel in the morning and completed all of our hair and many of our makeup in a matter of hours! Everyone loved their look (see attached pictures) and got compliments throughout the night. I would highly recommend:)

The stylist I went to was great but the front desk service was beyond disappointing. They lost my appointment and lied about it. Will never go back.

I am very picky about my hair, but I trust the people at the Loft Salon completely. Lexie is fan-​tas-​tic, she has done colors and cuts for me and she always makes sure it’s exactly what I want, and she has great ideas for what to do as well. For my wedding day Jennifer did my hair and make-​up, and she was a-​ma-​zing. I got so many compliments!

i was looking for makeover, wanted some color and nice cut, got exactly what i was looking for. Staff was attentive and respectful, worked with me to come up with the best haircut and color for me. I wish it was closer to my home so I could go consistently, but still want to go back.

I had a great experience at The Loft. I recently moved to Minneapolis and had to find a new hair salon. The Loft had reasonable prices (~45 for a haircut) and also had great reviews. It was definitely the best value in Uptown and did not disappoint!

The salon is clean and sleek. I was immediately offered a beverage (water, coffee, wine) when I arrived. Lexi cut my hair, and she was *great*. She made it very collaborative in determining what to do. She was very professional and showed me how I can easily style my bangs. The haircut was $ 45 and definitely worth it! I will be back.

My husband and I both go to Lexie, and she’s great! After some bad experiences elsewhere, it’s so nice to know you’ll get what you want. Definitely worth it!

Love it here! And LOVE entrusting my locks to the talented and approachable Jen Graham. Color to cut and style, she gets it right every time! Jen always has fun and updated recommendations to fill in the gaps at times when I’m not quite sure what I want, but I want a change… Great place and fantastic, knowledgeable stylist!

Erin Jerabek did my hair, my mom’s hair, bridesmaids hair and eyelashes for my wedding last weekend! All of us loved our hair! The eyelashes were great, and she even helped one of my friends with her makeup. Erin is super talented and fun, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an awesome ‘getting ready’ wedding experience! She’s really fast too!

I highly recommend Erin Jerabek and Jen for wedding hair and make-​up. We hired them for my August 17^th wedding and they went to at the Gale mansion where the ceremony and dinner took place. Everything went perfectly. They arrived on time did a great job. They were both very professional and fun to work with. I did a trial run with Erin in May to get ideas about what hairstyle I wanted so i knew what I wanted for August. They are both very flexible and easy to work with and their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone.

I read the reviews on Unilocal looking for a new salon. Based on so many favorable reviews, i tried The Loft twice. Yes, it’s cute and in the fun LynLake area, but my experience wasn’t so impressive. Everyone was very nice and yes, it’s not crowded. First, I saw Deanna and she listened carefully to what I was looking for in a color. I told her exactly what I did not want and what my hair is prone to. i ended up with exactly what I told her I didn’t want. I returned a second time and saw Jenn. She was very nice and a good listener. This time, we changed strategies completely as to avoid what happened on y first visit. This time I was in for a color and cut, 4 hours later and an unexpected $ 30.00 increase in the price quoted to me when making my appt., I left with a much darker all over shade. I spent $ 160.00 plus tip for a dye job that looks like I did it at home from a box. Maybe the hair cuts are better? I just haven’t been impressed with the color jobs here and have had better color done at mall salons. Parking is real difficult here. I will not be back.

First-​A big thanks to my fellow Unilocalers! I was looking for a new salon after inconsistent service at my last, and came upon these reviews. I’m so glad I did!
Atmosphere is everything for me. I came in and immediately thought the salon was adorable and had great character. It wasn’t bustling with tons of customers and lots of noise, like most salons are. The receptionist was really nice and took good care of me.
I chose Sarah off reviews, and she did not disappoint! She was warm and friendly, and did an amazing job listening to what I wanted. She didn’t try too hard to push products on me, and seemed genuinely interested in making me look my best. I walked out feeling like a million bucks, and didn’t spend too much on the cut. I will absolutely go back for my other hair needs!

I went to this place for the first time a few months ago and just went back again for a color and cut. I’m a hair snob, i am very picky about how my hair is cut and I’ve been all over town to many places and I think I have found a place that I want to come back to. They offer organic products as alternatives and I love that option. I also liked the woman who cut my hair and plan on going back, we both seem to hit if off conversationally and with regard to our preferences for my hair. She also showed me different things I hadn’t considered before such as extensions which I tried for the first time and will probably always consider now. Anyhow, you get the point. I like this place and I’m going back. The location is so-​so (difficult to find) and you have to pay to park but you can’t beat the skills my stylist had, conversation, and even decent and competitive pricing on services.

I love going here. I see Sarah, and aside from giving me an excellent and reasonably priced haircut, she’s got good «chairside manner.» The salon itself is very cool with a laid-​back vibe. I recently moved here; I was happy with my stylist back home, but Sarah does it better for less.

As a new MSP transplant, I was on a mission to find my new hair stylist with as few hair cut disasters as possible. Luckily, on my first try, I found The Loft.
Located in the heart of LynLake, the salon is beautiful and comfortable. Sarah cut my hair perfectly and had great product and hair care tips.
I will certainly be coming back!

The Loft Salon is tucked up on the second floor of a building overlooking the LynLake intersection. It is cute and cozy.
Everyone there is so friendly and they make you feel very comfortable.
Last weekend I had a hair and makeup trial with Erin for my upcoming wedding. Both my hair and my makeup exceeded my expectations. I will be using her for my wedding in January and coming back for a charity gala in May.
Today I got a haircut by Erin. Wow! My hair looks and feels fabulous and healthy. Erin has an eye for getting the cut just right.
Definitely recommend The Loft Salon for special occasion hair and makeup as well as hair cuts. Check out Erin — she is great!
Also, the prices here are great for the neighborhood where there are super pricey salons all around but you definitely are not missing out on quality.

There’s nothing more I could ask for in the haircut experience — I mean I know I’m a dude and all — but seriously, I don’t think it gets much better than getting my hair cut by Jen.
Jen (the owner) has been cutting my hair for many moons and has always done super awesome work. My first encounter with Jen she took my coif, which was kind of leaning towards Grateful Dead roadie look, and cleaned it up drastically. No looking back ever since. She has continued to help me hone in on a fitting hair style as I have matured (i.e. I GOT OLD) and always has great ideas and feedback on styling. On top of that she’s absurdly personable and laid back. I really appreciate how easy going Jen and the rest of her staff are, as it makes the entire experience that much more relaxing and fun.
