Great location, looking forward to better quality brews. Had the Kölsch and bitter… The bitter was too sweet, needs to either ferment out more, use less crystal malt, or change mash temps to better ferment out cleanly. Seemed rushed? Kölsch was fine, could be clearer and more hop and grain flavor. Happy to have them in the neighborhood, looking forward to great things! Space is awesome! Good job!

Under carbonated beer. Taste like home brew beer. The beer is not gross, but nothing stands out. It’s all safe brews. The space is cool with an open floor plan. Hopefully they can nail their beer style and set themselves apart from the rest.

Everything about the place is cool. The big, imposing brew system rising up out of the middle of the room and the stainless bar rail around it, the old wooden bars. The lighting is amazing. I particularly like the big garage doors facing West Broadway and the rusty corrugated steel sheeting everywhere. Just a big old bar built with craftsman quality workmanship, and seems like a healthy budget for the size of the space. The joint is big! The beers are all very good. A little low on the alcohol, but it looks like that is changing soon, and frankly, not everything needs to be a Barleywine that puts you on your butt after 8 ounces. The American Stout has a nice, oily finish that I like. It comes across like a higher alcohol stout without the heat. Very drinkable. The ESB seemed very traditional. Not heavily carbonated, and a beautiful color. A touch hazy, but, welcome to craft beers. Speaking of «welcome to craft beers», the Birdtown Blonde, the only one that will not be a rotating tap(it’ll always be served) is a very safe, drinkable blonde. Call it the Spotted Cow of this place. Anyone can knock it back. The kolsch was also very nice. Beautiful color. I wanted a bit more carbonation here, but maybe that’s growing pains or I’m a snob. All very safe beers and I look forward to when they get adventurous. I also look forward to food trucks, but you can always grab grub from one of Robbinsdale’s epic restaurants. I’ll be back. Often.
