What a complete scam! Paid $ 79 for a Living Social coupon. Very deceptive use of the name. Once they arrived additional charges were tacked on, a complete bait and switch! Stains still left in carpe I was told would come out by the cleaners. It took three days for the carpet to dry (I was told it would be 4 – 6 hours). Said they would return if we were not satisfied. No luck there! When I complained about the lack of response I was told «Blow up» the cleaners phone by the person who booked the deal at Zero Residue. Stay away!

I had the same experience everyone else had. This company should not be in business. I intend to report them to the BBB and to the Attorney General’s office.

Total scam business, and I feel foolish for buying into it. Paid $ 79 for a Living Social coupon. When they arrived they told me I needed to pay an additional $ 150 to actually get the carpets clean and that the $ 79 dollar clean really would do nothing. I had already moved everything off the floors and taken the day off of work, so I agreed. Of course they could knock off the tax if I paid in cash. Big red flag! There was nothing about this company that I thought was honest.

I purchased a living social coupon for 5 rooms. I needed to have 3 rooms and a hallway done. I scheduled a date for cleaning with Stephen. He did not mention any additional potential charges. I scheduled a date. On the day they were to come, I received a call and was informed they would be late because the van broke down. He said he would be here at 100. I told him I had a doctor appointment but my husband would be here. When he came he informed my husband there would be additional charges for high traffic areas. We wanted him to do a bedroom with a carpet that had been replaced one year ago and a living room and dining room that had carpet 2 years old. There are only two people here, both of us retired and we keep an immaculate home. Unfortunately my husband made a check out for an additional 120.00 to Landon Braaten. The carpet was also left wetter than anyone else has left it when they cleaned it. I called Stephen and told him I examined the voucher and there was nothing in the regular or fine print that addressed additional charges. He told me he would refer me to their refund department. I waited 10 days and had not heard from them. I contacted Stephen again and he was very rude and hung up on me.
I called Living Social and told them of the situation and Zero Residue Cleaning’s refusal to make things right. They were wonderful and refunded the voucher.
Stay away as others have said. These people are just awful.

Stay away! Bought a living social deal for sofa and love seat cleaning ($ 79). The day they arrive to clean I find out it would be an additional $ 113 to use cleaning solution that would get out and dirt/​stains and prevent the fabric from «browning» (which apparently happens if they only use water). Also, if I wanted the back cushions cleaned there was another fee. I had to get a stain out of the sofa so paid extra to get that done, and then the guy has me make the check out to him personally!!! I could have made a fuss — but I paid it to get them out of my house! Very unprofessional — no uniforms, wore their boots onto my carpet, reeked like cigarette smoke, no receipt, etc. Total scam —you can find a reputable upholstery cleaner for the same price or cheaper. The sofa did get clean, but the hassle wasn’t worth it.

As mentioned previously, this is a scam. I’m not sure if they ever provide the service. The guy answering the main phone said «F – k you» to me and hung up when I confronted him. I called the police and they said it looks like a scam. Their cell phone number, 612−212−3117, is registered to General Mills. The police just said to go through livingsocial to get our money back.

Horrible company! Purchased a LivingSocial deal for 5 rooms and had to wait over a month to get scheduled. Then they didn’t show up on a scheduled day, saying they were behind. Rescheduled for next day – and the same thing happened – they didn’t make it to my house because of other jobs being scheduled! I wasted two days away from work to be here for cleaning, and it still didn’t get done. After this, I tried calling them and never got a call back to see what they would do for my service. Left numerous messages and no call back. I requested a refund from Living Social service and told them they should stop running deals for this merchant. Reading the reviews here, it seems like they are a scam with charging extra anyway, so glad that it did not work out in the end, saving my money for a reputable company to do the job;

Wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing the living social for a 5 room cleaning. As everyone else has said it is a complete scam. After saying the carpets looked in good shape there was all the sudden an extra $ 100 charge. Not to mention they charged by squared footage but did not move a single piece of furniture so the amount does not make sense. Awful deal, stay away, stay far far away.

not reliable, rude, over booked and understaffed. This company is atrocious. I purchased a groupon thinking this was a reputable cleaning service (very crafty and deceptive use of zero residue name) This company first no showed and then called the next time to say they were 3 hours late. Both the business owner and employee were rude and explained that they had one of their vans break down. This company however doesn’t stop taking $ and doing groupons and living social, they stack appointments out months and then just no show them. I would highly avoid this company unless you want a huge headache, poor service and a struggle to get your money back.

Do NOT use Residue Free Steam Cleaning.
They have horrible customer service, and they go back on what they originally tell you. I bought the LivingSocial deal from them (only looking at it originally thinking that it was Zerorez). Prior to purchasing the 3 room deal I submitted an online inquiry asking if they would do my 7 step staircase in lieu of one of the 3 rooms. I received an email in return stating «we can do that». Booking was done via text (very strange! The day of my appointment (1 month out) I was contacted stating they would be 1−1÷5 hours late AND I was told that they don’t do stairs in replacement of a room and that neither him nor the other «owner» would ever tell someone that. I forwarded the email to them and then called stating that if they wouldn’t honor what was originally stated to me that I didn’t want their services and I would get a refund from living social. Without even missing a beat I was told to get a refund. Mind you this is after we moved everything out of our bedroom and guest bedroom as they do not move any furniture either. I guess you get what you pay for!

I Feel like I was given the bait and switch. Signed up for living social deal 79 dollars for 5 rooms. They quickly started adding on additional fees «for high traffic areas» and pet stains. Stated that the deal only steam cleans the carpet and doesn’t actually clean the carpet. I was prepared to pay a bit extra for the few minor pet issues but the total quickly added up to 430 dollars. He was basing the cost on square footage but I believe he was including the areas that were not cleaned because of the beds and large furniture. So the cost for 5 rooms was 530 dollars. they were at my house for a total of 40 mins working… He mentioned the cost included taxes but then he had me write a personal check to him and not to the company. Very sketchy…

Your customer service is deplorable.
I waited on hold 3 times in 2 separate phone calls. Once I actually was able to speak with a representative, I was interrupted as I attempted to ask information about carpet cleaning to be told that Zero Residue Clean was booked out until Septermber 2015 (next month). I told him thank you, and attempted to continue with my question, only to be on the phone alone; he hung the phone up in my face.
Please work on improving your courtesy when dealing with new/​POTENTIAL customers!
