History

Established in 2015.

The Hungry Howie’s story began in 1973 when Jim Hearn converted a 1,000 square foot hamburger shop in Taylor, Michigan into a successful carry-out and delivery pizzeria. At the time, Steve Jackson delivered pizzas for Hearn. Over the years, their partnership would evolve into what Hungry Howie’s is today.

At Hungry Howie’s, we have combined the right ingredients and years of successful experience to create a superb, growth-oriented business operation. First, the staff was very friendly when ordering and delivering. The food was hot which is good. The overall ordering experience was great.
Now to the food. I had the baked spaghetti which really… there is no way anyone can mess that up. My wife had the lasagna, and she thought it was good, I had a piece, and I was surprised, not bad at all. We also had a cheese pizza, for me it was nothing out of the ordinary. The cheesier bread was a squared pizza with at least 3 different types of cheese, it was OK. And finally, we had the cinnamon bread with icing and we sure did enjoy it. Overall the place has plenty of choices for you and we got a lot of food for under $ 40. Can’t wait to try other things on their menu.

I believe in giving 2^nd chances sometimes even 3^rd… As y’all can see the first time I tried to order failed, but I did take my kids in person and was able to complete and order. The order had one discrepancy but was fixed… All in all the food tasted descent… I just completed another purchase and there was another discrepancy but I didn’t check the pizza until I got home and really don’t feel like going back… Word to the the wise CHECK YOUR ORDERS… The food is good but service can be better

So I was on the phone ordering my food for far too long. I only wanted a medium pizza and the lady kept trying to up sale me or messing up my order and making it a lunch special.
Proper training needs to happen.

This was my first time at Hungry Howie’s. I had never heard of it before, but the online reviews were pretty good. It was empty when I walked inside and I was surprised because it was a Saturday night. All the employees were pretty busy in the kitchen getting orders together. Must have been for delivery or call in orders. After a few minutes a lot of customers started to make there way in. A good sign. The employees were really nice and the pizza was pretty good and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

It’s my first time in this location. So far the staff is really friendly, and the food is always very tasty. They have a wide variety of food choices, so you never run out of options. Good stuff.

I ordered a fettuccine Alfredo and a pizza and wow was it awful. They are definitely using ingredients that come pre made in a bag for their pasta’s. The cheese they use on everything is almost artificial it doesn’t even taste like real cheese. Yes it’s really cheap and you pay for what you get. I would advise ordering from dominos or papa johns instead.

2^nd time ordering from this location and my last, both times the pizza was undercooked and mushy. I will stick to the Taft Street and Davie locations of this great chain. The staff went from mopping a spill of the kitchen floor to handing me my order without washing their hands. Thanks but no thanks.

I ordered online and went to pick it up 20 minutes later. I walked in a waited to be acknowledged 5 minutes later. They said my food wasn’t ready. I waited for about 20 minutes and I was already getting anxious. I asked the lady again and she looked again only to find that my order was ready all along! She gave me a free soda for the mix up but by the time I got to eat it, it was cold and all the grease had soaked the breading of the pizza. They are very disorganized.
