Do not honor appointments. You set it for five o’clock using a specific person, you don’t get seen until 5:30. That has always annoyed me about this place. Now I’m fuming because I sat next to the eyebrow girl for 10+ minutes waiting to get threaded(after my mani/pedi, and the guy who did those, told her I was there), and when she takes the client before me to the front to pay, she comes back with a new person to skip me!!! I told her I was next and she said«oh, yeah. Just wait she’s only getting a wax»… I got up and went to the front desk to tell him what happened and he said he was sorry it was his fault but I can wait it won’t be long. I told him no, just let me pay for my other services. I called him to let him know that I was a consistent customer there and was extremely annoyed by the lack of respect and will write a review about it. He said, «I said I was sorry but you can do whatever you want». It pissed me off because people do not go to establishments to waste time or be disrespected! He knew it was his fault and should have compensated me for the time and grief! I had to hang up the phone, never going back. When customer service is an issue, they IGNOREIT and the CLIENT! The two stars is for the guy who did my nails.

So I remember going to this salon over 5 years ago when it first opened. Good sized place, it was neat and nicely decorated. I even had my prom nails done here. Over the years however I’ve moved to a different city and I haven’t been back in over 3 years. I finally decided to check it out today and I can honestly say that the place has changed. Now they haggle you about little upgrades that will raise your price, and their tool and equipment sanitation seems questionable. They use a cheese grader type of tool that seems pretty gross… But the grossest thing to me on my visit there was THEFLIES. They had about 10FLIESFLYINGAROUNDANDLANDINGONCUSTOMERSANDTHEIR«SANITIZED» EQUIPMENT. I completely lost it and was totally freaked and grossed out. The only couple of good things are that they change their pedi bags and replace them with new bags for the purpose of cleanliness and Todd. He’s done every one of my manis and pedi and he’s very thorough and good. I recommend him if you are brave enough to go. However there are plenty of good nail techs somewhere with better sanitation.

Regretfully I posted a negative review on this place, as I was a long term customer. Due to their location I continued to frequent the salon and during a conversation with the owner she revealed that she had read my review. I explained my situation and she listened. She was not rude. She was Polite and professional. It was during this conversation I realized how important our reviews are to businesses — and I must say, I felt compelled to edit my review. I do not wish for anyone to lose money or get hurt by any of my actions. Since she handled my review in a very professional manner, I have edited my review. I won’t be frequenting this salon anymore because I’m never in the area anymore. I was touched at how Lisa handled me and I would recommend this salon to my friends because they take their work seriously and they listen to their customers.

I was trying to kill time before I had to show up to a Panther’s Ice Dancer Event so I figured getting my nails done would be a good idea. The place is very clean, which is important to me. The salon itself is a few months old in the new Miramar Square Shopping Center. A regular mani/pedi will cost you about $ 35 — which is average. The lady that took care of me was very neat and my french manicure came out great(its $ 18 for a french with one tip I had to get for a broken nail). They also do waxing, I was able to get my eyebrows done. The waxing room wasn’t as neat as the rest of the place and they did not lay down any paper on the bed — the service cost $ 7. I mean, its a nail salon not a spa. They don’t let you tip with a credit card so take extra cash for tips.
