History

Established in 2015.

We opened our boutique in May of 2014 under the name Steam Couture. In October of 2015 we relocated and opened under the name The Twisted String at our current location, the University Park Mall.

My husband and I brought our creative talents together in 2014 to create our boutique. He has a wonderful eye for architecture and constructive art and he has the talent and experience to make our visions into realities. I have a passion for fashion and find extreme happiness in helping women (and men) feel like new people through helping them find clothing that both fits their body shape and personality. We’ve brought our talents together to create a boutique that is both aesthetically pleasing and fashion forward and as our customers often say, «a much needed addition to the community.» We love what we have created and we love helping people! It’s the perfect creative outlet for our family and the fact that someday we may be able to make a living from it is just a bonus!
