Jared was really easy to get a hold of and schedule with for the same day. He did a private 2hr lesson for my 12year old daughter and she absolutely loved it! He was really laid back and got her in the water right away. He provided a wetsuit, board, and good instruction. He was the ideal instructor for her first time surfing. Definitely recommend.

I just moved to the San Diego area from the East Coast and had never served before. This lesson was above and beyond what I expected for the price. Within the first 10 minutes I was catching waves! It was a very professional lesson and still fun… Jared has years of experience. I will be going back and will suggest him to others.

During my weekend vacation to San Diego, I was looking for surfing lessons and found Jared. First of all, the guy is a classic surfer dude — loved it. He also was very inexpensive! For three of us, gear and 2 hours of instruction, it was only $ 100! Unheard of.
Anyway, Jared was very good about explaining what to do when. He obviously knew a lot about the sport and was passionate about it. He also was a really nice guy! Very easy to get along with.
On top of teaching well, he was also great about letting us go and try on our own, not looking over our shoulder or controlling the whole time. That was nice to explore and make mistakes on our own.
I’ll definitely contact Jared again when I head to San Diego again. Thanks much for the great experience.

Was looking for an instructor that I could feel comfortable with – and who had plenty of patience. And wanted one-​on-​one instruction. And let me tell you this: I got all of that (and more) in spades at Jared’s Surf lesson.
I went out with Jared’s dad, Curt, and had a blast. The man knows his surfing inside and out – and he is the one who taught Jared how to surf. Even better: his personality was engaging and calming.
Stood up a few times and felt the lesson I got was more then what I paid for. In fact, I plan to go back a few more times to really get comfortable and feel that I won’t get killed out there if alone.
I cannot recommend this school enough. Good honest people – and the price and lesson you get is truly amazing.

Jared’s the best! Super nice guy that’s very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. He’s got nice boards and suits for you to use and his prices are low. Lots of good inside information I don’t think you’ll get with anyone else. Had a great time with him and can’t recommend Jared enough. I’ll be back soon for another lesson. Thanks Jared.
