The most important thing I want in my mechanic is HONESTY. I’ve been going here for years and they only fix what actually needs to be fixed. Mike is an amazing mechanic. He helped me get as much life as possible out of my last car as possible 15 years! They are great with the big jobs but I also get my oil changed there because I know it saves me money (how many times have you been told you need a new air filter, or this or that when all you really wanted was an oil change?).
Bottom line: I trust these guys, their prices are fair and they have integrity. Highly recommend!

Before Import Auto Works, if there’s one thing I used to dread, it was taking my car for repairs. I don’t «speak car». I’m not «car savvy». So I’m at the mercy of mechanics to be honest and fair and it’s not always easy to find someone who is trustworthy. I’m glad to say that finding Import Auto Works has been a great experience! They have proven to be trustworthy and honest, and do quality work. And something equally important to me is, I feel very comfortable in their shop. Going to the garage is not always a comfortable environment for women. Mike and Harry are very warm and personable and will make you feel at home, and you will have confidence in their work!

My family has been going to them for ages and I’ve been taking my cars in since my very first car! I’ve gone through a few since then… they even gave me recommendations on buying a car when mine was totaled.
Now that I don’t live in Mission Viejo, I still take my car to them if I am visiting family and happen to need a quick tune up. I know I can trust them to do it quickly and right (I had a friend go to a place for an oil change and they forgot to put oil in. Almost ruined the engine! Something like that would never happen with Mike and Harry!!)
They recently tuned up my little Honda motorcycle in a snap. They are honest and easy to do business with. I couldn’t recommend anyone else more!

Is there such thing as an honest mechanic?
Surely this must be the beginning of a joke… right? No!
Mike & Harry are truly honest mechanics! And believe-​me-​you, I’ve had my fair share of junkers. There have been times I’ve taken my pain in the wallet van in for «road trip ready» service and left with a bill for only an oil change. Really!
It makes me wonder: maybe there are decent lawyers…
Fun Fact: Harry Hartounian that works there… name may sound familiar. That’s because Harry Hartounian is a character in Steve Martin’s The Jerk, the gas station owner and mechanic. The writer wrote Harry, his friend, in the script.
