J “Joe” Timothy Green, PhD

Very nice, low key, calming man. Very easy to talk and communicate with. I would recommend him to anyone that needs therapy or guidance.

This guy should not be in practice. His input was limited, he tapped on the chair the whole time as if he was board to death. He may be on some pain medicine for injuries, but regardless this guy should not be counseling anyone on anything. He contacted my ex-​wife (she was listed as an emergency contact) to get insurance information because he forgot to get it at the beginning of the session, I think that is a violation of my privacy. In addition, after he failed to file the correct insurance information and I cancelled our sessions this is the email he sent:

You were seen on 2÷29÷2016. You made an appointment for the following week which you failed to keep. You signed a financial agreement that states in part, «I understand I will be charged $ 150.00 for missed appointments.»
You got nothing but your miserable life.

I would not risk taking a child to this doctor. Seemed lazy and callous.

My husband and I have been going to see Dr. Green for approximately eight months, just to make sure we are doing all we can to keep our marriage strong and healthy, and to help us effectively work through any issues that may arise. Dr. Green is excellent at getting to the real issues, concerns, and joys. He asks very raw and insightful questions to help his clients overcome any tendency to «sugar-​coat» things, in order to get down to brass tacks and work up from there. He is well-​read and has a many years of experience, and it’s clear that he knows what he’s talking about both on a clinical level and on a practical level. I would highly recommend Dr. Green for his ability to effectively counsel and help his customers go from where they are to where they want to be.
The only reasons I’m not giving 5 stars are:
1. His office could stand to be a little more inviting and comfortable;
2. In the beginning, he sometimes did not take the best notes from session to session, although this has improved with him over time and as he’s become more familiar with us.

My teenage son went to see Dr Green because he was struggling in school due to ADD and severe social anxiety. My son was a challenging patient in that he was very shy and needed to be drawn out, but this was too much work for the doctor, who after a few sessions told us that my son was a «hopeless sociopath» and he couldn’t do anything for him! If you are looking for compassion in a therapist, and someone who takes an interest in his patients, go may want to go elsewhere
