Established in 2011.

Marco’s Burgers and Fries first opened in 2011 by Rio Grande Valley native Marco Suarez who had the brilliant idea of making 100% fresh ground ribeye burgers! If you enjoy nice juicy burgers and fresh cut fries than Marco’s Burgers is the place for you!

I feel lost in the sauce on this one because everyone loves it but I really was not impressed at all. The main turn off was how super thin the burger was. Who cares if it’s sirloin if you can’t find it? It also got cold fast and just didn’t have the fresh flavor everyone raves about. Head to Salazar’s or Mooyah instead.

I ordered a mushroom burger with fries and a drink. It cost $ 11.08. The patty itself was flat and thin. The cashier told me there was Swiss cheese on a mushroom burger. I couldn’t find it. The bun was too soft and flimsy. It didn’t hold things together. The fries were very greasy, and as they cooled, all I could taste was the grease. Everything was so greasy and slippery that I had wash my hands before I dared put a hand in my pocket to retrieve my car key.

Great olé fashion burger joint! Nothing crazy. Just an order at the counter and they’ll bring your food to your table place.
Good family atmosphere and the service is great as well.

Best burger I’ve had in the Rgv. Make sure you order their marco burger. We ordered their chicken tenders for my little girl and it wasn’t the best. But the marco burger is the best. Staff is pretty friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Price is a little expensive but the burger is worth the price.

This is a very divey burger place in a good location between McAllen and Mission. The interior is simple and clean almost resembling a retro burger diner. You order at the counter and they bring the meal out to your table once it is ready. The service could use some improvement since the lady behind the counter did not smile and was not helpful.
The burger is fresh ground rib eye and the fries are fresh hand cut fries. If the burger patty is ground fresh they should honestly ask how I would like it cooked instead of bringing it out well done. Overall one of the better burger places in the area.

Gourmet burgers are everywhere now. Some good ones have come and gone in the past few years, but the trend continues
Marco’s is all about the burger; no fancy service or décor (seats hard as rocks). There are a couple of cute local cartoons on the wall, and the usual sports shirts, memorabilia, etc.
Never mind. Ignore it. Ignore the people standing in line out the door at lunch time. Order the Marco burger and a Mexican coke. Sit. Bite. Yeahhhhh. That’s what I’m talking about! Juicy, fresh prime meat and a big fluffy bun; hot and fresh. If you have room, their fries are great; crunchy outside and moist and hot inside.
You want fancy, go someplace else. You want a freakin’ great burger? Nuff said.

What a great burger joint! We have eaten here twice and sadly we are leaving the area soon so we won’t get to stop here again until next year. If your looking for a great hamburger then this is the place. This is a mom and pop place that has a product that should be famous, and someday probably will be.

On a last minute place to look for something to eat we run across this place small place in a strip mall. The place is simple few things on the wall and simple menu food smelled great. We ordered the marcos burger there was a mistake that happened in that back that took me long to get my food but the owner with out hesitation and having to complain comes over and makes it up to us. First bite was so much fresh flavor and juicy patty was something that I have only had in big cities like Austin. The fries were right out of the frier need just a little salt but no of the less great. Now I feel that this place is by far one of the best place for a burger and would recommend to anyone place is friendly and nice and the tastes burgers anywhere.

As far as Burger Joints go this one is up there!!! Great non-​chain atmosphere. Makes you feel like you go back in time a but where local restaurants made their food from scratch.
Ordered the Mexican Burger and it was great. They don’t skimp on anything. Barely finished it. It even has a corn tortilla in the burger itself.
Wife ordered the Marco Burger (basically a bacon cheeseburger with avocado. Very tasty and juicy.
The kids meal Hot Dog is a value.
The French Fries like EVERYTHING are homemade and delicious. Don’t forget to get the chips with queso.
If given the chance will be back.

I have two words for you: FRIED PICKLES. Besides these spears of fried deliciousness, Marco makes a mean cheeseburger. Fresh local sirloin ground every day served with hand-​cut fries, which in my opinion are the best in the Valley. This is by far the top burger joint in the RGV and also on my list of top restaurants in general. Try it out and support local!

No one has mentioned the incredible Chilli Cheese Fries so I will gladly recommend them because they are fantastic.
Don’t expect to be able to eat a plate of those along with an entire Burger though. The Marco Burger I had was delicious and I saved half for later. I will definately go back for second helpings. The Valley needs more places like this so I am glad it was recomended to me.
