I have found my hair stylist for life! Christy Sheehan is absolutely amazing! She has done a Kenra Smoothing treatment on my hair and colored my hair twice now! My hair looks fabulous! I constantly receive compliments on how beautiful and shiny & healthy looking my hair is! I walk out of my house everyday knowing that my hair looks awesome because I have an AWESOME hair stylist! I recommend everyone to go visit Christy, she has great ideas and a great personality!

Christy Sheehan is a great stylist. Couldn’t ask for better! She has great ideas, and her coloring skills are fantastic. Love this place… love Christy.

Worst salon experience I have ever had! I used to go to Corie over at Skyline who I loved but she left the salon and moved further out to an Independence salon. Sad, I decided to try somewhere closer to where I live. Since I use Unilocal,I decided to look on here first. The reviews were really great for this place so I went ahead and booked an appointment.
I walked in and a woman comes up to me and asks me if I have an appointment. I said yes, my name and the time and she responded «your with me, I’m so and so come back.» Those were the only words she said to me the whole entire time. I usually really look forward to getting my hair washed, I mean who doesn’t it is so relaxing! All she did was slather some shampoo on my head followed by conditioner. She hardly touched my scalp at all. I felt like she was just globbing stuff on my head. Did not say one word to me the entire time.
Alright so that wasn’t so relaxing so I was looking forward to at least getting my hair cut. She was very slow and timid cutting my hair, It was almost like this was her first time. She didn’t say anything to me the entire time. The owner walked by a few times, I tried to see if maybe he was glancing over to see her work because this girl had to be new. She was so slow and unsure. She blow dryed my hair barely using the round brush. Then when it was a frizzy dried mess she slathered a whole bunch of Bed Head serum on top of my head. It looked like I had just worked out and I was sweating. I had a grease pit on my head. I figured for sure she was going to take a straightener or curling iron to my greasy hair but nope, she was done.
I gave her 20% because she was the one who took my credit card. If it was a receptionist (which they did not have) I would of left less. I felt like I had to give a decent tip. She threw about 8 cards at me with her name on them and sent me on my way.
I immediately went home and washed the product out of my hair. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

I have nothing but awesome things to say about Shear Vanity. This place rocked my socks off. It was around 6:00pm on a Friday night and I was desperately trying to find somewhere to get my haircut. I called Shear Vanity, not even knowing the location, and they got me in right away. Most places are closed this time on a Friday night on the off chance you get in somewhere they are usually rude because they want to go home. Not this place, they were friendly, welcoming and so eager to help. My hair is badly damaged from coloring/​bleaching and previous idiots who cut my hair, at Shear Vanity they were up front and honest about what I needed to do to get my hair back on the right track.
The words that I write on this review can in no way give Shear Vanity the justice they deserve. I cannot wait to visit again, super excited!

I’ll admit, I’m always scared trying out a new place to get my hair done, but this salon was great. I actually left the place loving my hair, which is something that happens rarely.
The prices for services are very reasonable and the staff is down to earth and friendly. If you’re looking for a new salon, this is the place!

Affordable «Glam» Treatment
Shear Vanity is sort of hidden away, but that’s good if you’re hoping to get in quick. Occasionally, I need my hair changed, and I need it changed right away. I’m very picky about how my hair is cut, colored, etc. — I’ve even gone so far as to hold on to pieces of my hair to make sure that Johanna Blohanna at «Thrifty Trims» doesn’t give me a whack job.
No worries at Shear Vanity. They know what they are doing. If you give them a picture — they can make it happen. Not only do they do color and hi-​lites, they do color correction, perms and waxing as well as other services.
After my last hair cut, I sat in the chair and they just played with my hair for 30 minutes showing me fun ways to wear it.
I would definitely recommend Shear Vanity Salon. They do great work at a great price!
