The food was ok and the service was terrible. Our waitress gossiped with co workers for most of the visit. She forgot our appetizer altogether and when we received our food we were missing a side. When she talked to us we didn’t ace her full attention. The staff seemed more interested in taking amongst themselves than making sure customers were cared for. For most of the visit staff members were around the pay station talking to each other, hugging, and laughing. I probably won’t go back.

Hopefully the new standard for Mobile. Food was great with a wide variety on the menu. The drink menu was excellent with a lot to choose from. It is a large place so you don’t feel like you’re on top of other parties like you do at so many establishments in this area. Again, great place for a lunch, dinner, or happy hour and game watching. The only downside is the location on a hectic Airport Blvd and toward the back of the strip mall. The plus side here is from where I am usually traveling from its an easy right turn into their parking lot and to head back home there is a light so chances are you won’t be side swiped by one of Mobile’s superb drivers(unless they run a red light which is always a possibility since the local Wal-Mart is just around the corner).

The Cuban Sandwich was drowned in mustard… The server brought us Dirty plates that had greaser spots on them and when I pointed it out to him blamed it on the dishwasher… I told him he needed to was them better!

Very average food. Nothing special. Better wings and food at many other local spots. Nice ambiance, and nice staff.

I really enjoy their food there. They have a lot of variety of sauces for their wings. You can try them before they actually mix them and you can mix match sauces to create something new. The service there is OK, it could be better.

Okay… I have eaten there many times. My initial review still stands. Tonight a kid named Andrew was our server. He was friendly upbeat and professional. His timing was perfect and he made us feel welcome and special. The boneless chicken wings are habit forming. Tried a new sauce(garlic parmesane) and it is a winner. Keep it up Hurricanes. You are rapidly becoming one of my favorite places in this city. The potato chips are also really habit forming. Great place, good food, very reasonable prices maintaining the standards I wrote about earlier… keep it up!

Their tacos are very good, their beer selection is about average, and the atmosphere and service are above average. We visit pretty regularly.

I’ve been here at least ten times since the place opened. Each time is worse than the last. The food is sometimes good though nothing is consistent. Different servings sizes and different prices depending on which incompetent server rings it in. The Hurricane buckets are a good deal for $ 10, however the servers do not make them and the bartenders take their sweet time and seem to have no measurement or recipe to reference. Every time I go(dragged there by family or friends) we get a different server. The last time I went will be my last. We questioned the manager on whether or not the Server had rung up the correct drink because it was obviously not what we ordered or the bartender had made the wrong one. Upon looking at the ticket, the server got it right so the bartender was called over. The manager asked which Bucket she had made us and she responded«whichever one the server rang up» when he showed her the ticket, she replied, «what do you expect me to do about it??» The manager had to make us the correct drinks. The time before that we asked for a happy hour pitcher of beer($ 5) and when we were given the check, it said($ 15). We asked the server and he brought us back our ticket with($ 5) off… Are you really that horrible at math? Had to call the manager over. The manager told us our beer wasn’t one of the happy hour beers. When we explained we asked the server for a happy hour pitcher, he snatched my credit card out of my hand and stormed away from the table. He adjusted the ticket correctly but was completely rude. It isn’t our fault your servers aren’t trained. Awful service, horrible happy hour, clueless managers. This place is to be avoided at all costs. Do not waste your time or money!!!

Went for lunch on Saturday. My third(and last) visit. Our server admitted that this was her first week so I completely forgive her for not knowing the menu(even the salad dressings available). What I cannot forgive is her lack of attention to her customers. Apparently she had a couple of friends at a nearby booth and she spent all her time leaned over their table talking to them. I got up twice and broke her away from her friends long enough to bring us some tea and some crackers. She was a nice young lady but she was completely oblivious to the needs of those she was serving. I figured what the heck, at least the food would be good. WRONG! We got the same dish(Beachside Chicken) that we had the previous two times. We did spring for a house salad as one of the sides and it was excellent. The chicken was almost half the size it had been previously and I guess the chef tried to make up for it with a half pound of cheddar on top. The chicken was thin, dry and tough. The yellow rice had been great. Today it was gummy and tasteless. Except for the salad it was one of the worst meals I have had in Mobile. There are too many good restaurants for me to ever go back to Hurricanes. Btw, the Manager came by our table and asked how everything was and I told him. He thanked me for the feedback, said he would check the size of the chicken breasts they were serving and said he would address the new server. I kinda feel bad about complaining about her. It’s something I have only done one other time in many, many years of eating out. Hopefully she will take the criticism to heart and improve her tip potential or find another line of work. The restaurant clearly needs to do a better job of training their servers also.

Stopped in for lunch about 1:30. Politely and quickly seated. Ordered some sliders chicken and the grouper. Only took 15 minutes for food. They have an extensive menu for food and drinks. Everything was good not great but real good. Good atmosphere with music beachy and bright. My server was excellent, fast, and informative. I will come here again for drinks and some fish tacos next time.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was the weekend it opened. The place was packed to capacity and we had to wait. The food took forever once we ordered it and the environment was quite loud, with the buzz of energy and enthusiasm in the air. The quality of the food was simply just«middle of the road». All of that is forgivable. Opening weekend for any new and exciting restaurant is like that. No biggie. So why, when I return several months later, was the service so slow when there were barely even 5 tables seated at the time? Why was there no difference in the food quality?(Please don’t mistake this as a criticism, the food was good, but it didn’t wow me as I had hoped it would.) Maybe it was an off night, I don’t know. I’m definitely not writing this place off, but I guess I am expecting more from them. I am hoping my next visit, which should be soon-ish will be the dining experience that I know in my heart this establishment is capable of.

Service was good but I noticed that our server was eating while serving and that seemed kind of gross/unprofessional. It didn’t keep her from doing her job but it was still weird. My husband and I orders the same things with different sides. We ordered the jumbo wings with the trifecta dry rub. We also both ordered house made chips. Then, he ordered some kind of Thai slaw and I ordered some kind of broccoli. Both of those sides were way too strong. They were not edible. They had way too much garlic! We like garlic so for me to say that means there was a lot! The ranch dressing was clearly not homemade which is a travesty when in a wing restaurant. I liked the wings because they were filling and huge so I might be back… I’ll just try different sides I guess. Cute décor. Pleasant, low-key atmosphere.

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday, the hostess appeared dazed and confused. After she finally got us to a table the waitress came. Now, the appetizer was really good, we ordered the tostones. After that it went downhill fast, the chicken on my wife’s salad was raw and the rice bowl that I received was probably from the night before. I’ll wait for a year or so and if they’re still in business, we may try them again.

Huge menu! Host lacked hospitality and personality… Couldn’t hold eye contact and no smile. Seated with an excellent waitress that was super hospitable with lots of recommendations. Quick to serve… Asked for manager to come over to see if they allow dogs on patio and he checked and came back saying dogs on leash are fine. That was a big deal for us as most times that is how we determine where we are going to eat. Food could have had a better presentation as my shrimp and rice bowl looked like a big glob on plate and wasn’t so appetizing. It was flavorful and hot though. They offer a military discount from what they say but it only took off $ 1.30 of our entire $ 43 bill so best we could figure out is the offer a discount ONLY on service member’s entrée not his appetizer or his dessert OR the military dependent(wife) who also carries a military ID card. This place has just opened and I am sure they are ironing out all the kinks. I hope they pay attention to their Unilocal reviews so they can make these tune ups. We will be back so we can show off our awesome dogs and I hope to be able to bump this up to a 5 star.

Excellent and attentive wait staff. All staff was motivated and eager to please. We had the queso dip, which was excellent as an appetizer. Wife had shrimp and I had the boneless wing dippers, both of us enjoyed our meals. They honor military service members with a 10% discount, very much appreciated. They even allow puppies on their patio, so we will be back for sure; they are the full package.

The Jumbo wings were average size and the taste was very bland. I wrote a review and a manager very promptly called me to discuss my review only to tell me all the things I did wrong. Save your money Crystal has better wings.
