Meet the Business Owner

Greg R.

Business Owner

Greg is co-owner of Olde Mobile Antiques Gallery and a native of Paxton, IL; as a 10 year resident of Mobile, he’s had a love affair with the city since his first visit 20 years ago. Greg’s love and appreciation of history, fine and decorative arts, and antiques began at an early age when he spent summer vacations with his grandparents on their South Tennessee farm. Greg has always recognized the beauty, history and sense of place that the South embodies.

Greg and his business partner, Charles Parmenter, have been in business for 20 years, and their successful antiques complex of almost 50,000 square feet is by far the largest and most diverse antiques store on the Gulf Coast. Greg’s strong sense of community and acute business acumen have enabled him to grow and prosper in uncertain economic times.

First and foremost a historian, Greg is also an avid collector who has amassed an unparalleled collection of prominent Mobile historical fine art and antiques.
