Dropped in with the family for a quick dinner. It was busy but we got seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and fast. Got our waters and orders in quickly. I got the large barbecue salad. The barbecue was warm and delicious. The lettuce and veggies were crisp and fresh. My wife and youngest daughter got eggs and pancakes which were eaten with gusto. My oldest got the chicken pie special which she said was delicious. We got out of there for $ 25 including tip! Good food, good price and good service. What more do you need?

Won’t be going here again. All the food tasted like it came out of the microwave. Only ate a few bites of my bbq. The fries were good, but how do you screw up French fries? The place is dirty and there were flies everywhere. The table felt like there was a later of maple syrup on it. The waitresses were very nice though.

I live nearby and eat here often! I always get my food to go because there are never any empty seats. The parking lot is always filled. The food is great! BBQ to rave about. Portions are also great, and prices even better. You can get 3BBQ sandwiches for only $ 6. As well as awesome food, prices, and portions the employees are always friendly. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here and would recommend it to anyone. My only problem is that the BBQ is so good I have yet to try anything else :)

Some of the best barbecue I have had. I like drier barbecue with little fat. This place has it. They also have very good hot dogs. I’m yet to order something I didn’t like here. It’s a diner type setting and the prices are very good.

I have found it a good place for breakfast and lunch. For the BarBeCue I have had good and bad but I have enjoyed the footlong hotdogs the best. The waitresses are all ways friendly and keep your beverage filled. The one thing that bothers me and it might be just me but when I am there I feel rushed as if they need my table as soon as possible. I will go there when I am in Mocksville.

Tried a chopped sandwich here today, and it is pretty good Lexington style BBQ — not up to that at most of the top Lexington BBQ joints, but good. The meat is moist, tender, a small amount of smoke taste, and not to finely chopped. They give you additional sauce with the sandwich, but it is not needed. This is not destination BBQ — drive by at best. Also tried a chili dog, but took only a bite or two — chili is thin and sweet — no zip to it. Supposedly the BBQ Chicken is pretty good here — and I’ll give it a try next time by.

So I was in NC on business and found myself bound to try Lexington Barbeque. I went there & I thought it was good… not great… but good. So on the way home I needed one more BBQ sandwich to ensure a good night sleep and came across CJ’s on my way back to the hotel. I just ordered a BBQ sandwich… but I thought it was better than Lexington. Here are my reasons why… 1) the pork had a much better smoke taste to it 2) the pork wasn’t chopped into a thick mush & had a couple of good sized chunks in it as well as a bit of «bark» here & there 3) attitude… the people at CJ’s were happy to see you & greeted me with a very nice smile when I walked in the door even thought it was 15 minutes before the closed. Although the guy that waited on me at Lexington was more than pleasant… the woman at the register was almost irritated with me that I needed a receipt. In summary… go to Lexington so that you can say that you’ve been there… but head over to CJ’s for a really great chopped BBQ sandwich.
