En Vogue Salon

Went with my wife to get her hair done and Mary Avila help her out and she was FANTASTIC! She listened to exactly what she wanted and did a GREAT job. While my wife was getting her color done she asked me if I wanted a quick trim and I said sure. So while my wife’s waiting for her color to set Mary cut my hair and did a perfect fade just the way I like it. I am definitely coming back! Great atmosphere and very professional. I think I’m going to say goodbye to my barber and visit this place more often.

My review is for Yesenia; I have not gotten services from anyone else. Yesenia is really great! She listens to what I say and does my hair how I want! My hair is pretty curly and she really knows how to cut it so it lays nicely whether I wear it curly or straight. She is always very personable. I enjoy coming to her!

There is a reason why a haircut at this business is so cheap. I called and set an appointment for a haircut and the lady on the phone was pleasant. Once I arrived to my appointment I was a couple minutes late, but that did not matter since the stylist, Veronica was not there anyways. She arrived 15 minutes late and once she called me over she did not apologize, say hi or ask how I was doing through out the haircut. She did not spray my hair down and the way she was combing my hair as she was cutting it was pulling down hard. I was going to post the photo of my haircut, but I am really too embarassed. The customer service is non-​existent. I highly do not recommend to go to this place. She does not know how to do layers for thick hair, nor does she know how to create bangs in the front. I was not going to pay, but since it was super cheap I payed, BUT no tip. As I have said, it was cheap for more than one reason. Avoid!

Since I was a bridesmaid for a wedding I decided to go to En Vogue salon to have my hair and make up done. The girls did such a great job on my updo and makeup that I received so many compliments from my friends and family members at the wedding. I was so happy about the experience that I will definitely be going to En Vogue the next time I have another special occasion!

I go in to go from an ombré to blonde high lights and after an hour of Letty putting the bleach in my hair, she put me under the dryer with the bleach in my hair while she helped her next client. It took her about 45 minutes to help that client and then after 1 hour and 45 minutes, she washed the bleach out of my hair and then put me under the dryer for a second time and helped yet another client. After waiting another 45 minutes, she finally shampoo’ed and conditioned my hair. While she was blow drying my hair, she had to clean out her brush 3 times because my hair was breaking and falling out. I paid her $ 100 and left to go to Ulta to buy «its a ten» conditioner to try to save my hair. I combed my hair at home and a good amount of hair continued to fall out. I asked her what she could do for me and she offered me a $ 20 deep conditioning and made excuses why my hair was falling out and never took blame for it. She said she had someone wash me when in fact that did not happen and the bleach was not in my hair that long when in fact it was. She did nothing for me and did not even apologize or try to make things right. Will not be returning and I highly don’t recommend.

It is so nice that this salon is open on Sundays! May not seem like a big deal, but after a busy weekend it was awesome to look good for Monday.
With that being said I went here for the first time this past Sunday. The woman that did my hair was very nice and did a great job on the color. It’s vibrant but natural looking. It was 75 $ for my root touch up/​crown highlights, which included wash, cut if desired, and style. Not bad. My sister got her hair trimmed for 20 $, which is a little high to me for a haircut.
Overall experience was good. The interior is nicely decorated and relaxing, a very professional atmosphere.

Another $ 100 and not at all what I wanted asked or showed how I wanted my hair done. My hair doesn’t look bad but I’m so tired of saying what I want and it never happens. The experience was not the best. When I want my hair done I want relaxing and fun. I felt rushed and uncared for. I saw a client fall and not one of the workers turned their heads showed any concern to ask if she was ok. So all and all my hair looks ok even if it was not what I wanted but I found the people rude:(The lady who took my appointment call and came to explain things was super sweet but she didn’t do my hair.

I have been getting my hair done by Letty for past year. She is fast and my hair always looks excellent. I get blonde highlights and she is a master at blending it with my natural medium blonde hair. I have had people stop me at work and ask who does my hair. Convenient location and great hair!

I wish I could say I had any type of service done at this salon so I could give a fair review… But I can’t because I was waiting for 45 minutes AFTER my appointment at 3 o’clock until someone FINALLY told us that it would be another 15 – 20 minutes. What’s the point of an appointment?
I think it’s beyond rude to make someone wait that long without any explanation. We left and will never come back.

Ok, so just to clarify… I’m only giving En Vogue 4 stars because every time I’ve gone in before today, I felt that my haircut was very mediocre for the price that I was paying (a really light trim was $ 20) but aside from all of those other mediocre trips, I want to give Kelly 5 stars as an individual employee!
I called in today to make a same day appointment and she was open to do highlights, a cut, and style for me. I brought a picture with me so that she’d have an idea as to what I was aiming for and she was very enthusiastic about it! She was very reaffirming and supportive about my choice which made me feel much more comfortable considering this was the very first time I had ever dyed my hair (I’m allowed to be anxious for my virgin hair!)
Anyway, she was really charismatic and was a joy to work with while undergoing this long process. I love how my hair turned out and Kelly was awesome when it came to asking questions to know exactly how I wanted something and was very accurate. I was on the verge of going elsewhere for my haircuts, but decided to give En Vogue a second chance and I’m glad I did! As long as Kelly’s working there, I will definitely be back.

Growing up with my rock star hair stylist of a mom, I never had to pay for a hair cut. When I moved to California, it took me about a year to find someone that was able to cut my hair correctly. That person was Amber, at En Vogue. I have been going to Amber for a couple of years now. She is an artist and is great conversation. She did my 9 year old step-daughter’s new do, yesterday. She couldn’t have done a better job and I have never seen my step-​daughter more ecstatic about the outcome of a new haircut.

Leti is the best… came for a color correction and I am very picky… she did an amazing job… totally would reccomend her for cut and color/​highlights and am looking forward to getting extentions done by her… have heard great things and hers look great… very affordable and the best stylist that Ive been to in years! She is AWESOME!!!

I went here for the first time, wanting to try a different stylist. The girl that did my hair didn’t even introduce herself. She did a good job on my cut and did exactly what I wanted but I could tell she was in a rush because it was close to closing time on a Saturday. It seemed like the whole staff cared more about leaving then their clients. It was an affordable cut and it turned out nice but I wish the stylist was friendly. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

WOW. totally disapointed here. prices started out ok, i went in for a color, cut and blonde highlights with jennifer, i have never colored my hair drastic so i took a picture cuz i wanted to make sure we were both on the same page it took four hours! i was like ok, no biggie. but the end result was allmosst what i wanted, i just wanted more chunks like the only two she had on my right side, i even stated word for word…“you see these two blonde chunks? i want more of those on the left and back” so she goes to work putting more blonde in, sets me under the dryer on full blast.ouch.really, but i even understood that cuz it was taking forever, after everything was completed the WHOLE top of my head is blonde! even she was like «WOAH thats really blonde!» so by this time i’ve been there 5 hrs! I mean what do you not understand about «you see these two blonde chunks? i want more of those on the left and back» ?? not ’ i want the whole top blonde.sigh.she said to try it out for a cpl days and if it doesnt grow on me come back and she’ll put the light brn back in the spots. i’m calling tomorrow. I swear.i hope she’s not going to charge me. i even tipped her for her time, but c’mon, would’ve loved to walk out of there satisfied.

I have mixed reviews about this place… their prices are good compared to other salons in the area. First time I went, I got great service and the girl did exactly what I had asked and I left happy.
The second time, I went to get some layers cut into my hair. It looked ok when I left b/​c it was left curly, but a couple days layer when i flatironed my hair, i saw that i had a bunch of jagged, mismatched layers that looked like they were done with a pair of childs scissors. A stylist should know how to cut curly hair properly, i’ve had it done right many times.
Had extensions done by Leti, and they are great. best i’ve ever had done, you really cant tell at all that they aren’t real, and her prices were very affordable.
then, i decided to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted there. first she did my eyebrows in dark brown, and it looked wierd, so she had to redo them in black. she left then 20 minutes later (its supposed to take like 5) she came back to take it off, and then i had to spend the next 40 minutes having the excess tint scrubbed off my skin.
I left looking like groucho marx, and the next day i had scabs all around where i had been scrubbed. i had to go to walmart and get tweezers and fix them myself.
in conclusion, unless you see Leti, beware of the results you get here.

If you want color, highlights, chunks, etc. etc. you’ve got to come here! schedule your appt. with laura. she’s the best! i went from black hair to platinum and i mean platinum blonde hair in one day! i was so satisfied. been coming to her for dyes since i can remember & many of my friends love her as well.

I haven’t been in since they moved/​remodeled because I have been (gasp) having an affair with another hair salon. :(In my defense, I am cheating with my hair dresser who used to work at En Vogue and then I lost her and then I found her again. Ha, story of my life!
Anyway, when you walk in, all of the girls look really stylish which is a must in my book. I am sorry but I do not want to go into a salon where the girls have hair from the 80’s and they are dressed sloppy and mismatched. I trust my hair with someone who is trendy and stlyish.
I’ve never been disapointed here but I also don’t do walk ins, I stick with the same hairdresser every time (unless I’m cheating with my other hair dresser, lol)

I have had good cuts here and bad cuts here. I am a forty year old women. the first time I went in I got a great cut and dye. it was beautiful… almost jennifer anniston-​ish in color … the next time I got my hair dyed with dark purple highlights to match a suede outfit I was planning on wearing and that was amazing. but one time I came out with a beehive do that my mom used to wear in the sixties! I was totally insulted. I chalked that up to the one girl that did my hair. I went again asked for a cut and dye like Sharon Osbourne and I brought a picture with me. I came out with black elizabeth taylor hair. I went to a wedding like that. thanks. bleah.
