Love this place I get some of my sons clothes here, well when he was newborn up to three months majority of his clothes came from here. Since baby’s grow out of clothes so quickly it was great to be able to get clothes here then when he grows out of them to be able to sell them back.
I still go here till this day and my son is three months now. Highly recommend. Friendly staff as well!

I used to shop and sell at the Fremont one but since moving to Lathrop, I’ve been meaning to check this one out. Reading some of the comments I was a little hesitant but when I walked in I was pleasantly surprised how well organized and clean everything was. There was a great selection for my daughters sizes but the boy section size 4 – 5 was a little small. I guess little boys ruin their clothes more. Haha. But I found great clothes for great prices. I will definitely be back.

I have sold things here a few times and I don’t know why I bother. I always bring in like new great quality toys/​clothes and they always say «too worn or stained». Obviously if it has stains or is too worn I wouldn’t bring it in so obviously it’s a cop out they use. But they hardly ever buy anything which makes it a waste of gas to come down here.
The wait time is ridiculous. I’ve waited over 2 hrs before to make $ 11 and the staff members are pretty rude

This has been a huge money saver for me over the past few years. Prices are pretty good and clothing is trendy and gently worn, others new with tags. I wish they had a bigger section of size 6 and up. Store is clean and well organized.

I moved to Modesto 4 months ago and shopped at the once upon a child in Reno. Today when I dropped off a few things and the lady told me that they will not be calling when they are done looking at my stuff. She said they get to busy and they will forget but what they will do is wright my name down on a white board when it’s ready (because that does not help me at all) prices are ok but really packed and not a lot of room to shop.

Over priced!!! Especially the new products their sell. What a joke. I recently searched online for a high chair & rocking sleeper for my baby I decided to go take a look to see if they had these items for a better price. Yes, the had exactly what u was looking for, however, the prices were jacked up even higher than they were even worth. Their used items were even over priced. I will not spend a dollar here. Ever.

I’ve heard about this store before and thought i would check it out. First I had called in about two weeks before just to find out how it works and what exactly they would take. The woman who answered the phone was VERY RUDE & told me to look at their website, but when you go onto the site it clearly says to call to make sure of what items they take… I thought ok maybe they were just busy. (NOT the case when we actually went there I saw the girl who answered the phone and she was just as rude to them!!!)
Now on their website it states they they want sets to matched and stuff to be folded neatly. I did exactly that! I pulled all my least worn looking items and made sure everything was neat. We get there wait an hour and half for them to look at our stuff. They start on our stuff and DUMPED out the box and bag we brought in. WTF they asked for this to be neatly folded! They gave us about $ 40 for our items. Ok not bad i wasn’t expecting much but the stuff they gave back said looked worn. Half the stuff they gave back was brand new! It was only washed. Explain to me how that is «worn» looking. Plus i had looked at items in the store and most of them looked dirty and way more «worn» looking than what i brought in. I wanted to ask the girl can i pull some items off your rack to show you «worn look»! I totally get this in a second had store and stuff isnt brand new. But still!!! Seems like there are no set rules on What to look for when buying clothes. all employees should have some guidelines on how to pick items.
Oh and then while we were walking around the store we saw 2 bouncers that were the exact same. one was $ 20 and the other $ 25 the one that cost more had a rip in it! Explain to me how that works??? That just shows you the employees are making up pricing as they go. I just really felt like the employees were rude in the store and dont really care. I could hear the ones looking at the items talking about customers and the items they brought in like how ugly things looked. I’m sorry but that is just flat out WRONG. Esp. when customers are less than 10 feet away from you!!! Oh also listening to them swearing & talking about their night before is just not ok. You’re in a children’s store! My husband had to walk outside because I didn’t want my kids to listen to that.
I wont be taking my items back to this store. I rather give my sttuff to as family who is in a real need and not get money than go back into this place. I really think the employees need to take care of the store better and watch what they are talking about when customers are near by. Its all about customer service and i think this store lacks it big time!

My husband and I went into this store today for the first time to sell some of our sons old clothes. We were told that the wait time would be about 45 minutes. The ladies were super friendly and finished our clothes before the 45 minutes. While returning to the store, we noticed my husband had locked our keys in the car and the owner went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and helped us unlock our car. We are beyond thankful for their great customer service. We will definitely be returning!

The customer service here is awful. The employees leave you standing around waiting, and are generally very rude. I’ve tried to sell brand name clothes here after being laundered and folded, and have been denied both times, and given the «they smell like smoke» excuse. Which is funny, because nobody in my household smokes. I get the impression that these girls discriminate based on appearance, and are just too lazy to actually sort through the clothing that’s brought in for sale, unless you stand right at the counter the whole time (the gave me a 45 minute wait period, so I went to mill around at Game Stop). I will never give this store my business in the future.

I love this store, I have been going here since 2012. I do not like the hassle of garage sales or selling items through other channels. If this store did not exist I would probably be donating all of my things, so getting some money back for things I would normally give away for free is great. I still donate what they don’t take, some are really good items. I assume when they do not take some of my good things that they must be overstocked. I often leave the store spending little or no money after they have bought my items. I always plan for them to take at least two to three hours to get to and through my items. The staff has never been rude to me, I have seen some of the customers be rude and have unrealistic expectations.

I have came in here for years, and have never had any issues. 1^st time I sold old clothes I made around $ 140 and this time I made $ 125. I was more then happy. You have to remember these are old clothes that they would have to resell, so if they don’t think it will sell then they won’t take them. I still have 3 boxes full of clothes that will be donated to the woman’s shelter. its a win win for everyone.

I rarely step inside this store. My mother is the one who loves to thrift shop and goes here often. She brought me back a pamphlet to show me they buy baby/​kid clothes and items. Awesome! I brought in 3 tubs filled with assorted girl clothes (NB-​toddler). Of course I expected them not to buy all of them however with the things I had were gentle used and bought with that year. So none of it was out of style and some were still in the store! They bought 4 clothing items and gave the rest back to me. I got a total of $ 5 worth. After I left the store I realized I didn’t get back my baby blankets or infant tub. (The employees show you what they decide to buy in their tub and it was not shown to me) so naturally I went back because they didn’t pay me for those items. Expected they would give me money for them or at least give them back to me, however they chose to act like they had no idea what I was talking about. Remember this is within the same 2hr time frame (they want certain amount of time to review your items) this store is disgusting in their business practices! I will never sell or buy from here again and have told many of my friends what has happened. This will not be the only place I write my review of this store.

I’m surprised this place is still in business. Seriously.
I find it really ironic how this store wants customers to bring clothing nice and folded in a box yet they are so messy and just throw everything everywhere.

Today I visited your store off of Plaza Parkway in Modesto to see about trading some clothes for store credit since my 7 month old daughter has out grown most of what she owns. I called in advance and talked to a staff member about what items they were taking right now and how to bring them in. I was told they were looking for all sizes and seasons. After driving the 15 minute drive I was told by your staff member that the clothes I had brought in would not be accepted. Her reasoning for this was that the clothes were in a plastic bag and not layed out nice in a container and that they did not smell clean. I am sorry that I cannot afford hi end laundry detergent so the clothes that I just washed didn’t smell clean enough. I am also sorry that I cannot afford to buy a specialized plastic container to bring clothes into your businesses. I will no longer be visiting your business which is sad considering half of the clothing I was trying to trade back to you I had purchased from there.

I visited OUAC recently with clothes my daughter and son had grown out of. We had two bins of clothes and a bag of shoes. We filled out the paperwork and cast our fate into the wind. We came back several hours later and the offered us 30 plus dollars for a bin our clothes! We were offered cash or credit — we took the cash and donated the rest of the clothes at Community Hospice’s Hope Chest! I will return and for the people that over pay for their children’s clothes — get over the fact that you’re not gonna get a return on used clothes!

Great selection and prices. I bought 3 summer outfits, 2 tops, an unopened crib sheet and a skirt for my daughter for under 30 $. Staff was friendly. I wish it was closer to me.

I have always had pleasant experiences at OUAC. The personnel have always been friendly and I feel I get decent money for my items/​clothing. Obviously it’s not as much as I’d like, but I understand they have a business to run and need to make money. It just saves me the hassle of having to set up a yard sale and sit and wait all day long. I will continue to sell/​shop at this store.

So gross! Smells like pee when you walk in. We very quickly walked out. I understand its kids, but I have kids that do not smell like this thank you very much.

I hate that this site deletes reviews! This is important to know about this store as they do not care about your child’s safety! This happened here last summer:
On June 8^th I purchased a summer infant 3 stage super seat. I got it home, put my son in it, and part of the tray fell off in his lap and he almost fell out of the seat but I caught him. So I called the next day as they were already closed. The owner, Marilyn Corona, not only didn’t apologize but told me it was my fault and I should have have checked it before putting my son in it, never once apologizing and refused to give me a refund as their policy is store credit or exchange only and hung up on me. So I called back Monday June 11^th, and talked to the store manger, Jamie, who told me over the phone to come in and she’d take care of me no problem. I did make it clear to her on the phone Marilyn refused me a refund and that was part of the reason I was upset. So I went to the store on 6−12−12 and talked to Jamie and she refused to give me a refund also even though it was their error in not ensuring the seat was safe. She also claimed they could «fix» the seat, which she did by putting 2 screws in the seat that were not from the manufacturers and were a tad too small, and asked if I wanted to keep the seat then. Again, I said no due to safety since these clearly were not the right screws. Obviously this store cares more about sales than it does what may be safe for a child. She excused them missing this being broken by saying sometimes they «are rushed». I understand the item is used but I also feel like this being a store that specializes in this type of merchandise, they should be safer and more trustworthy than say, a yard sale or Craigslist. I told her I would be willing to do an exchange if they had another one of these seats that I could check for safety but they did not have another or anything comparable. I also think their customer service should be better considering they should have caught this and never purchased the seat to resell to begin with. I could not find a palce in their store that the return policy was posted except the receipt, catch being once you’ve bought the item to see the policy, it’s too late. The worst part is not the $ 26.84 in store credit I will NEVER use, it is the fact that they have placed this same seat with the incorrect screws back on their sales floor for another Mom to take home! As a Mom, I would want to know if this happened to someone so I could avoid shopping there to protect my child. When I told her I would never use the store credit she recommened I «sell it» to someone who would want it.

While shopping today with my daughter, I found the items to be over priced. My daughter asked to use the restroom and the rude sales lady told us there’s a public at Walmart. I will never shop there again.
