Well we went back for dinner with my parents and uncle. I ordered my steak medium well, and the waitress had me cut into it to see if it was cooked to my liking… it was raw!!! Still mooing as a matter of fact. My mom and husbands steak was also raw. We sent all three back. The waitress apologized, stating that they had a new cook. After the second time of having to send mine back, I said no more I lost my appetite. My mom had to send hers back three times!!! The manager did give us a refund on the steaks, but never once apologized or even acknowledged that there was an issue. I won’t be going back anytime soon. They need to send the cook back to culinary school, and the manager needs to learn some customer service skills.

The people that work here all seem very nice however the reason for only giving 3 stars is because even though our waitress was nice, she got our drinks and that was pretty much it. Secondly, we got the salad bar, which comes with side items and there were a couple items that were not telemarketing the entire time we were there. $ 12.99 for the salad bar — not much help with refills, etc, buffet not replenished… eh. We probably won’t be back.

After numerous bad experiences at other Sizzler restaurants(mostly Southern California) wife and I decided to check out the Modesto store. Initial impression was wow, have they cleaned up. Interior was really nice with great lighting, then we sat down. Booth we were seated in had a big silver Sizzler sign with a bright spotlight on it. It was like sitting in traffic on the west bound 120 heading toward San Francisco with the sun directly in your eyes. Luckily they weren’t that busy so we moved out of the glare. Went our first round on salad — very nice, Went for seconds with the pasta salads and the infamous«Is it or isn’t it real Crab» in the crab salad. Nice big chunks of whatever it was, other pasta salads were blah. On to dessert, got some Apple Crisp which had a nice crunch and wonderful apples. Then tried the«Bread Pudding» Thought I was going to die, it was that bad. Consistency of fresh snot. Wasn’t prepared properly at all, hardly warm. Wife took a bite and almost lost her salads — literally. Pull it Sizzler if you’re cooks can’t prepare it correctly. Will go back to this location eventually, well after my stomach recovers from the«Snot Pudding» but will surely keep my distance from desserts.

We decided to stop by here after a trip to the mall for dinner. It wasn’t too busy so we got in right away. I grabbed a plate from the salad bar and there was dry food stuck to the bottom of the plate and the silverware I had was dirty as well. The food was a 2 out of 5 and the service wasn’t great. No one seemed happy to work or even to be there. My family and I will definitely not dine here again.

Haven’t been to Sizzlers in years as there isn’t one close to our home. Saw the TV ads for riblets, so we made the drive to Modesto. It was worth the drive ! We were met with a smile & greeted when we ordered our food. We were seated & our drinks were brought to our table as well as some delicious cheesy bread. Our meals were cooked perfectly, steak was melt in your mouth. The riblets were messy to eat but very good. They did come with a hand wiping towell. Our waitress, wish I got her name, was excellent & we are looking forward to our next meal there! Went in on Thursday around 4:30pm. While busy, the place was not crowded. Oh yeah, the décor was nice too! Very comfortable booths…

Took my grandfather and fiancée to eat at the salad bar. The salad bar was efficient enough to make a good salad and enjoy some fruit on the side. The reason why I gave one star is due to the service and greeting we received when we arrived. The girl that greeted us and took the payment was very rude for no reason. She intentionally gave me dirty looks and had that voice of feeling irritated with use. All I did was smile and was in no way rude to her. My grandfather is in a wheelchair and she walked us to a booth where you have to take a step up to sit in it. I could have been mean to her and asked her where her common sense is in thinking someone who cannot walk and is in a wheelchair can get out of the wheelchair and take a step up into a booth? But I kept my mouth shut since she kept her attitude, so I kindly asked for a table that is wheelchair accessible. All she did was roll her eyes, make a hissy fit sound and took us to a wheelchair accessible table. The server never came by to refill our drinks, which my fiancée had to find her and ask for refills. We left no tip due to being treated poorly as the customer.

Disappointed. Shrimp scampi was not good. Tasted like too much wine was added and shrimp was overlooked. The steak was tough to cut and chew as well as dry. Spent $ 14 on that meal and it wasn’t worth it.

Well I like sizzler if you order a meal to go with your salad bar, so then you at least have items to eat completed, I was in there this last month for my mother’s birthday, I was running late so I just had my sister pre — order salad bar for me, cuz I really enjoy the freshness overall, well the dressings(every single kind) was absolutely disgusting each one worse than the one before, totally ruined my appetite all together, my niece and sister got a jar of mayonaise to use on their salads, obv. their opinion of the dressing agreed with my conclusion, seems to me the dressing recipes are just not being followed, or carelessness, laziness, or no sampling to improve it is def. not being addressed, you can’t cut corners on the main thing that gives a salad flavor, just saying !!!

This is an American Icon, thankfully, at this location, they take care of the customers and they cook the food correctly. We have gone to this location on numerous occasions when we head home to Nevada from the bay. Sometimes, we even have the same waitress, and she is always nice and she always takes care of us. The food here is not spectacular, but it is fresh and the salad bar is well taken cared of, and the food is always served hot and cooked to our liking, especially the steaks.

Rude hostess very rude so rude we decided to leave and get a refund for the food 5 minutes after we got seated. Not a whole lot of items pick from and for the cost of the salad bar/buffet they should have a bigger selection in the buffet part. The actual salad bar is very nice, that’s the most positive thing about this place. Turlock one is far better and worth the extra drive. I will not ever go here again.

Salad bar was really fresh(unlike some of the other Sizzlers I have been to around Sacramento). They had a Tuscan Caesar Salad with eggs and crunchy garbanzo beans. It was better than the salad I built for myself. The salad bar also comes complete with 3 different types of soup, a taco bar, fried chicken wings, onion rings and mac-n-cheese. There was also soft-serve ice cream w a few toppings and new salted caramel cheesecake shooters. 2 lunch salad bars and 2 sodas plus a $ 6 tip came out to a total of $ 33.50

I paid way too much for their endless salad bar for running out of food, no clean bowls for soup after waiting for 5 min and asking a couple people and also out of spoons. Come on siszler staff get it together! It’s too bad because I do enjoy the food but won’t be coming back since I did not get what I paid for.

Great salad bar but horrible service when it comes to ordered entrees. My mom waited over 30 minutes for a hibachi chicken meal. All it is is a sliver of chicken with sauce on it and a baked potato on the side. It took so long so my mom went to cancel her order because everyone eating salad bar was already done eating. She cancels her order, then the waitress brings it. All she brought was the sliver of chicken with sauce. Where was the baked potato? Lord only knows! A table next to use with 14 people was seated and within 4 mins of being seated all of their steak meals, pastas, chicken or shrimp meals were brought out. Then WHY did it take over 30 mins for half of my mom’s meal?! The manager, waitress & cashier didn’t even have the decency to say sorry.

The fact that I have to give one star to be able to review this place, is disappointing. First off, their ATM machine was not working. Second I ordered the cajun pasta with salad bar. The server didn’t greed us whatsoever, and just brought our drinks. When she brought my pasta plate, it was such a small portion. Third, we decided to refill on the salad, I pushed my barely eaten plate to the side of the wall so she won’t take it. And what do you know? I came back to my plate being gone with our drinks. It took over 10 minutes for her to come check on us, than I told her I wasn’t done with my plate and you took it, all she says is okay, goes back for the Soda refill, comes back says they’re gonna make you a small portion? First off I had barely eaten so even a smaller portion? And second there was no apologies at all. She finally brings the pasta in a small, ramekin with literally 8 pastas? Excuse me my dogs eat more than that! I call Eddie, which is the manager, tell him the situation, yet he still didn’t apologize, all he says would you like me to make you another one? I’ve been waiting 20 minutes I won’t wait any longer. I mentioned to him I will call the corporate, he didn’t seem to care. The manager nor the staff don’t know how to keep a customer happy. I will never be back here! The food is not good quality, the staff and managers have no class or knowledge on keeping a customer happy. Waste of our $ 40.

The GENERAL Manager took our to go order so we thought our food would be perfect. Unfortunately, we found that they did not give us our shrimp we ordered with our steak and shrimp meal. We had already paid for it and the restaurant was closed by the time we got home! Disappointing!

Always love coming here with the parents, as this is there favorite place to come and enjoy a fresh meal and some entertain music, that is if you don’t mind oldies rock and folk music. I personal don’t mind it, but the could make a bigger desert bar. I enjoy there ice cream milk cones and done of there other deserts. Love there salad bars, as they have great salads and all the fixing that you can pile on top of your salad. There soups are as tasty as can be, avid hardy. It’s always clean and very welcoming when being served by the employees and managers.
