We provide gentle dental care for children and adults. Dr. Nguyen offers white (composite) fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, dentures, root canals, extractions and braces (orthodontics).

History

Established in 2012.

Dr. Tony Nguyen opened Bluewater Dental after practicing in Manteca for 5 years and realizing that many patients had bad past experiences at the dentist. His goal was to create a dental office that had a relaxing environment, one that saw patients promptly, and was staffed with a team of friendly professionals.

The entire team at Bluewater Dental is experienced in all phases of general dentistry ranging from children’s dentistry to cosmetic and implant dentistry. At Bluewater Dental you find the most modern dental technologies and treatments available. We use dental microscopes and digital x-​rays for your safety.

At Bluewater Dental, Dr. Nguyen has built a substantial following because of his attention to detail, caring touch, friendly personality and ability to connect with patients

Dr. Nguyen has been practicing in the Central Valley since 2006. He was raised in Vancouver, BC and completed his dental training in Canada. He enjoys traveling and playing golf.

My husband and I are new in town however recommended by a family member to Blue Water Dental. I myself was very nervous as I’ve had bad experiences in the past. Wow everyone from the front desk to the Doctor himself made me feel at ease and did not judge anything! I went in and started my deep cleaning with Maria, OMG she is absolutely wonderful! Explained every step she was doing and often asked if I was ok! I will never go anywhere else and hope they don’t leave the area!!! Thank you staff!

Dr Nguyen is very kind and nice. And he is very patient, my son almost needed four teeth extracted, but the doctor waited two months patiently to get my son avoid the painful procedure. I would definitely recommend him for all dental needs. He is the dentist of our family of four.

It has been six months since my last visit to Bluewater Dental in Modesto. I gladly drive the 70 mile roundtrip to see Dr. Nguyen and his excellent staff and they continue to provide me outstanding dental care! My sincere thanks and appreciation to Dental hygienist Maria who provided me with the best and most thorough deep cleaning dental procedure I’ve ever experienced. I’m retired and need a lot more active dental care than when I was a youngster:) The Bluewater staff is cost conscious while providing the highest possible level of professional care and competence. All their modern dental stations are spotless, comfortable and equipped with the latest equipment. Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist in every category and exceeds all expectations for friendly patient care and superior dental treatment! Six stars!

My regular dental office is quite far from where I live, so I tried this office. Since the switch, I could not keep up with dental expenses. The dentist is a good sales man. I could not find anything special treatment wise. I was charged hundreds of $ for deep clean. It was not deep clean. It was not even performed by the dentist. It was normal scaling, which my regular dentist performs routinely every six months without $$$. His friendly manner seems to be a factor on the good rating on Unilocal,I am going back to my old dentist. It’s worth long drive.

Had my first Deep cleaning done at Blue Water Dental on Monday. I must admit I was a bit nervous and not looking forward to it. The Hygienist (Maria) did a extraordinary job and took care of me. She was very nice and very professional. She explained to me every single step of the way of what she was doing and I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort. Thanks Maria for making me feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure.
The Dentist Tony Nguyen is also great :)
Glad I was able to find a dental office who really take care of their patients.

I called to try to make an appointment based on all the good reviews. Evidently a bag full of money or good dental insurance is what gets you good service. I tried to make an appointment for an out of pocket teeth cleaning since I dont have dental insurance. The receptionist then proceeded to run their hustle on me. This dental office refused me an appointment for a standard teeth cleaning, tried to set me up with a exam and x-​ray package with the type of cleaning to be determined, deep cleaning or otherwise. Since it has been some years since I have seen the dentist, I’m sure I would «need» a deep cleaning. I just wanted a standard cleaning and it is all I can afford. Once they had my money, I have no doubt I would be «diagnosed» for a deep cleaning whether I needed it or not. This office runs the same crooked car mechanic scams except its on your teeth.

Dr. Nguyen is Amazing! I am no stranger to dental work, dentist offices or dentists. He is by far the best dentist, one of the nicest offices with nice clean equipment and his work has been quality work. He is very soft handed and gentle and cares if you are conformable and constantly is checking on you. The best thing I love about him is his honestly. I feel 100% comfortable with what he suggests I need done. I have had other dentists take advantage and suggest work that I did not need. He has your best interest in mind. Finding a good dentist is just as hard as a finding a good hair person :) PS… the staff is so nice!

Dr. Nguyen and the Blue Water Dental staff are all fantastic. Dr. Nguyen has great techniques that minimize discomfort during dental procedures as much as possible. He is the best dentist I have had and I am thoroughly satisfied with his work. Though I do not tend to be afraid of going to the dentist, I am aware that many share this fear. I can honestly say that Dr. Nguyen will help anyone with nerves by thoroughly explaining his work and taking the time to make patients feel comfortable. I truly appreciate that Dr. Nguyen even called after a filling to ask how everything went. I am most impressed by his attention to detail and dedication to his work — he makes sure everything is perfect. I can tell that Dr. Nguyen truly cares for his patients; he is not only great at his job, but also very insightful in other areas and a pleasure to speak with.
All of the hygienists are excellent, very thorough and skilled at what they do as well as being personable.
The office is clean and well taken care of. Office staff are also excellent and very organized.

I really can’t say enough good things about Dr. Nguyen. I am deathly afraid of going to the dentist; which kept me from seeing a dentist for years. Now I have some serious dental issues that need to be dealt with. Dr. Nguyen made me feel comfortable the entire time and did a great job of explaining the work he was performing. I had some misgivings about the work that was to be performed and he walked me through his reasoning and showed a great deal of patience with an incredibly anxious patient.
I have to go back in 4 weeks for root canal #2 and I really don’t have any anxiety about it at all.
Five well-​earned stars for Dr. Nguyen and his staff. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

My husband and I have been coming here for a couple years. This is the best dentist I have ever had.
My last dentist had the worst staff they were always so rude to me and I would leave unhappy and driving an hour away!
Other dentists I’ve had have done weird things that shouldn’t have been done. Making mistakes and being very rough and not caring about me at all!!! I’ve told this dentist some of my old dentist stories and he just cannot believe what some dentists have said and done to me!!! All dentists are not the same!!!
Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist for me!!! He’s very gentles and he takes breaks for my mouth. He genuinely cares about his patients and make sure that you leave happy.

Dr. Nguyen definitely shows great concern for his patients. He’s very friendly and provides a pleasant experience to ensure that any dental procedures performed are painless and comforting as possible.
Another plus is recommendations he offers that might be a suitable choice for you instead of his office, which tells me he actually cares more about the patient rather than himself.
Usually at the end of the procedure/​exam he gives a well-​detailed explanation of your dental issues and what should be addressed to fix it. Makes me feel better when I have a clear understanding of the situation and cause for my teeth.
With all that said, Dr. Nguyen gets 5 Stars in my book.

Dr. Nguyen and his staff are very kind and has the utmost most care about their patients. Coming into their office totally change the way I felt about the Dentist. They are very professional. Dr. Nguyen always explains about what he’s doing during the visit and makes coming to the dentist a breeze. I usually struggle going to any dental office because of all the pain and soreness, but I’ll tell you that once you’ve meet Dr. Nguyen he will take care of your teeth like if it was his owns. He has some real magic hand making it not painful at all. I highly recommend anybody looking for a dentist to come to his office.

I’m glad to have found Dr. Nguyen on Unilocal when I was in search for a dentist this past May. I’ve only had two visits, and both experiences have been much better than I would have anticipated.
Dr. Nguyen and his staff at Bluewater are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I have not experienced pain or discomfort in any of my visits. Dental appointments were always rather intimidating but not at Bluewater, which is exactly what I needed to ensure that I remain consistent with my appointments. I won’t be going to any other dental office, and I highly recommend Bluewater to my friends and family as well.

BLUEWATER DENTAL!
Is and will be the only dental office I step foot in. I’ve been to one other place and feel sorry for the people and kids especially. The staff here gives you a comfortable feeling that let’s you know you have chosen the right place. But it’s DR. Tony Nguyen that keeps me going back. With all the work he had done on me and not one pain or needle did I feel. He gives you all his time and explains each procedure. He calls after to check on your results. There isn’t a problem that DR. Tony Nguyen can’t fix and I would highly recommend anyone who doesn’t want to feel pain or discomfort. I will definitely be taking my future kids to BLUEWATER DENTAL. This team helped me over come my fear of dental work.
