Spaceport Rv Park

Next to train lines. Nightly banging of trains and loud metal noises. Train blow whistle several times a night. Wind blows, howls nightly and in the day. Few fast food restaurants to choose from. Park is clean. Note* Permanent people and their vehicles live on the outer edges of this RV park. From Top of the line to mental crazys live here. Warning, stay away from Bus conversion home, that man is mentally unstable in the head and rants and raves all over the park how he is going to kill all.
Many Left when this happened for several days. If you stay one day or two not bad to stay. Rates are cheap and daily.

Showers are cleaner and more modern than the last RV Park on kern river; yet only two stalls if busy weekend or event day. Most concrete park pads unbroken but few are trashed. I Didn’t have a cable tV hoo k On the site right next shower, perhaps around perimeter cable available, but there s radio reception.
The thing I really like is I pulled in at 4:44 PST and even though check out time was noon Someone was not at the door knocking for second night fee.

No frills, relatively clean but could really use some fixing up… Gravel sites and run down buildings with a gorgeous desert mountain view if you can overlook the overflowing dumpster… holiday weekend or neglectful trash service I’m not sure. We won’t be chancing the restrooms… We arrived at 430pm and it was Self check in and cash only in an envelope which is disappointing as we prefer not to use cash thus carry minimal. We were able to pay by card in the morning. Some permanent looking, run down rigs in the park but innocent enough. Definitely no age requirement for rigs. Plenty of pull through spots. 30amps with full hookups, no cable, no onsite propane… Had heard there was wi-​fi free but not seeing any and no one around to get access code… Finally found the wi-​fi and it costs $ 3/​day. Did a 15 minute free trial and it was fast enough to stream an online radio show. Didn’t do much else. Looks like there are back in monthly/​long term spots and storage spots as well. Though it’s a busy weekend it seems overall like a quiet place to park for the night in the middle of nowhere. Denny’s is about the only restaurant nearby, but they took a call in order for pickup with no problem. The lights in the park could really have been dimmed by a certain time. It was bright, even with curtains drawn, all night long. 3 stars overall for the sketchy feeling and other misc downfalls but for the modest $ 20 and the nice lady in the office, I’d stay again if we needed.

This place is great if you need a place to park your trailer for the night and rest. Barbra the manager/​owner is a sweet lady.
