The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau provides visitor information on things to see and do in the Quad Cities region. We provide directions, brochures, Quad Cities Activities Guide, a website, gift shop and more.
History
Established in 1990.
The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau was formed through the merger of 3 other Convention & Visitors Bureaus that served Davenport, Iowa, Bettendorf Iowa and Moline & Rock Island, Illinois. The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau serves the entire Quad Cities Region and welcomes tourists, meetings/convention, group tours, and sports tournaments to the region.
The bureau operates four visitor centers that provide information on things to see and do in the Quad Cities. They create an annual Quad Cities Activities Guide, maintain their website www.visitquadcities.com, and a toll free number 800−747−7800.
The bureau also works to bring visitors, meetings/convention, sports tournaments, and group tours to the area through strategic marketing and sales efforts, and trade shows.
Tourism has over an $ 800 million economic impact on the local economy and over 1.6 million people visit the Quad Cities each year.
