Meanest store workers I’ve ever encountered. Walked in, smiled at the woman and she frowned at me. Said hello and she mouthed something that seemed like f you and walked away… Needless to say I walked out… As I was leaving the woman walked outside to see us away while she mouthed something that looked like get the f out of here. All I wanted was some fresh produce

Beautiful flowers and plants. annuals and perennials. Small little produce stand, but loaded with essentials. Love mom n pop farm markets. Prices are cheap for normal stuff but certain specialty produce higher. It’s a CASHONLY Market. The produce is beautiful and fresh. Employees/owners pleasant. They also carry half gallon milk, fresh eggs, honey, home made pickles 2 kinds, herbs etc. Wanted to buy everything. Tomatoes jersey fresh beefsteak beautiful and huge perfect for those summer tomato sandwiches. Yum. Definitely will be back now have place to walk to for my produce awesome. Destinations always good bonus fresh produce= happy me.

Scotto’s is a friendly little family owned and run vegetable and flower stand hard on Applegarth road. True they basically feature produce form several sources unlike Pop’s who only sell their own locally grown produce but Scotto’s opens and stocks much earlier in the season, has a wider selection of produce, prices them cheaper and exudes the charm, din and wit that Pop’s lacks… I love shopping there because you’ll never know who you’ll meet or what you’ll hear… The grand kids selling lemonade from their own little stand… Mama Scotto bitching at some telemarketing rep. Papa Scotto bitching at Mama Scotto for bitching out the telemarketer… The ladies from the hood complaining about the price of onions or availability of single men over 65 who still have their own hair, teeth, valid driver’s license and likes to dance or any combination of the above… Scotto’s is a kick.

Scotto’s is OK… but if you want FRESH! go around the corner to Pop’s. They grow their own and it is exceptional

Scotto’s looks like a very ordinary farm market when you are driving by, but maybe you should hit the brakes and pull in. The wife tells me that they have some excellent fresh produce — even tho it is all brought in. Prices are cheap and the staff is friendly. It’s on our secret shortcut to the Shore, so I am not going to tell you how to get there :)
