History

Established in 2003.

BACKSTAGE Vintage got started when Judy Craycraft left her Principle Position she held for 27 years in the Richmond Symphony, and moved to Monroe, North Carolina. She started performing with many Orchestras throughout the Carolinas, among them the Charlotte Symphony, the North Carolina Symphony in Raleigh, the Long Bay Symphony, in Myrtle Beach, and the Asheville Symphony, to name a few. During her travels she searched the many venues available to find rare Vintage Pieces for her collection of over 20 years of collecting.

In 2003, she decided to open a Vintage Booth in Monroe, NC which soon expanded into a successful Vintage Clothing Retail Store. The first store was in an upscal vintage clothing store in Asheville. Then in 2011 she moved her store to Central Avenue, in Charlotte, NC. On July Fourth 2015, she moved into her new location in Beautiful Historic Downtown Monroe, in an Historic Building constructed in 1875, a perfect setting for Vintage Clothing.
