I’ve been here many times. It’s always busy and the food is very good. The only downside to Cracker Barrel is the price. But with that said you’re paying for quality and food that’s prepared in a careful manner

The Cracker Barrell has definitely gone down hill. First of all they cannot accommodate people with peanut allergies. My daughter wanted a grilled chicken sandwich. They said sorry we use pecans on the grill. Seriously, so many people have nut allergies now a days. So she did not order anything. I ordered what I always order. A grilled tenderloin chicken sandwich on grilled sourdough bread. The grilled sourdough used to be thick. But now, it looks like thin white bread that was toasted not grilled.

Went there twice in 3 days on our trip to Ohio and back. Excellent visit both times. Very fast, efficient, and friendly service. Food was excellent on both visits. The second time we went was vey busy and they even had a bus drop off a ton of customers and they still maintained the great service. Very friendly staff as well.

This has always been my favorite place to go, ever since I was a little kid. The staff are all very kind! Once my mom had gotten sick while we there(not because of the food, but just plain olé ill) and our waitress at the time(I unfortunately don’t remember her name) got us boxes to go, and a to-go water for my mother cause she could tell we were ready to go. I just thought that was very kind and she didn’t have to do as much as she did. The food has always been good, my favorite is the chicken and dumplings… I always get the platter and make all my sides chicken and dumplings as well, and also a thing of fried apples of course. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I was back home and I wanted to go dirty. I have not been to a Cracker Barrel in forever and me, being from Michigan needed to go hard. I had the most dirty, carby, tasty thing on the menu, the country fried steak. It was a very heavy meal and worth all of the calories and the year I took off my life for indulging. Goo!!!

I stayed in Monroe for a week. I had three breakfasts and three dinners at CK. the apple cinnamon oatmeal is very good. I was sad that CK had replaced their former oatmeal dish with the apple oatmeal, but the new one is outstanding. Don’t forget to have the turkey bacon. For dinner i had the 4 vegetable dish, and country dish(pork chop). The baby carrots and turnip greens taste good. I also recommend sweet potato. Service was outstanding.

The Worst experience i’ve ever had at a Cracker Barrel. These restaurants have really gone down hill. The washrooms were filthy. paper towels overflowing. Ordered eggs /bacon… They must serve the smallest eggs available. 2 eggs scrambled looked like 1 egg scrambled anywhere else. The bacon was slimy, rubber and greasy. The bacon left black /grease marks on the plate. McDonalds would be a better choice.

I had the grilled rainbow trout with a baked sweet potato and rice pilaf; it was really good– the fish was flavorful as well as the potato. My kids got chicken fingers with fries and a burger with fries; both kids ate everything on their plates. Our waitress was very attentive, and our food took about 10 minutes to come out. Ive been to the other Cracker Barrel in the area(belleville) and wasn’t impressed. This one is better by far.

Pecan Pancakes every time for this girl! I was meeting a friend here for breakfast. I realize I can count on Cracker Barrel for a tasty meal. I believe every place has the same setup. You walk into the Country Store with the dining area to the left. Every table has the Golf game with the large checker table by the large fireplace in the front. This location is very clean. The service here has always been friendly and attentive. My coffee cup was never empty or even below half full. Our food was prepared quickly with the same good consistent flavor. I ordered Mama’s Pancake breakfast with pecan pancakes, egg beaters and turkey sausage. Their pancakes are always so delicious. They are filled with plenty of pecans. I would recommend these every time for a filling breakfast. This location of Cracker Barrel does a good job with service and food. Since it’s right off of 75, it’s a place for locals and visitors. I’m sure I will be here again on my next visit to Michigan.

YUMMY yummy for my tummy. I came here on Saint Patrick’s Day. To celebrate the Saint who brought the gospel to Ireland! I ordered the Corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was tender along with potatoes and carrots. I followed that with a nice large coke. I also ordered the Coca-cola Cake and shared it with my mother. The cake was moist and warm served with a side of vanillia ice cream. My waitress was Connie, sweet soft spoken lady. I love the quiet old fashioned ambience, we went about 3:30 pm, so the after work crowd was not there yet. The store was clean. The ladies’ restroom smelled weird. Other than that it was a good visit. They just need to keep up with the hygiene of the restrooms.

Pretty good food. Closest thing to down home, southern, homemade cooking you will find in a restaurant. Never had a bad meal @ Cracker Barrel, no matter the location. «The BEST thing they have is the baked apple dumpling. Be sure you add an extra scoop of ice cream. That is one PHENOMENAL dessert!!!» Their restaurants are usually clean & service is good as well.

After driving most of the evening from Ohio my family and I were long over due for some dinner. There’s not too many sit down restaurants for the first few exits into Michigan but once we saw a billboard for Cracker Barrel we had to stop! Service was excellent. Our waitress, Nancy, made sure we always had refills, napkins, everything. My sister and I order the chicken tenderloin plate with two sides. I had macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes while she had fresh apples and fried okra. My aunt had the chicken and rice dinner with corn and cole slaw. Food was excellent! Best part about it was good came out piping hot just 10 minutes after ordering our food. Everything was very fresh, cooked perfectly and not over done or undercooked. Nancy even made sure we had carryout counters with lids for our sauces and extra jam for the biscuits. Menu is very large and prices may seem a bit high but really you get more than enough food for your money. Everyone I seen dinning was taking home leftovers. Breakfast is served all day and they actually give you the breakfast menu even when you’re there during dinner hours. Kudos to the staff for not having to ask for one!(I contemplated getting breakfast for dinner) Place was very clean and staff was very friendly. My family and I will definitely be choosing this Cracker Barrel as our go to dinner place when we come back from Ohio(which is rather frequently!)

My bachelorette party was at Cedar Point this past Saturday, so on the drive down we stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Things started off fine. Short wait, especially considering it was a Saturday morning. Waitress was ok — not rude, not bubbly/outgoing…just middle of the road, kind of monotone. That’s fine, I’d rather have that than fake or rude. She took our order, walked to the back, and returned to the table within 1 – 2 minutes to inform my cousin they were out of oatmeal. Huh? How do you run out of oatmeal… on a Saturday morning??? Oook. MINUTES after our order was taken, another waitress brought out my sister’s & niece’s order — 2 out of 7 of our orders. 15 minutes later, our remaining 5 orders were brought out — my sister and niece were bites away from finishing their meals! Our waitress never said anything about this either. Nothing. She passed out all the orders and set a plate of eggs and turkey sausage in front of me and told me, «Your biscuits and gravy are down there» and pointed to the end of the table(we were sitting at 2 tables pushed together) before walking away. What??? I was so confused. I had no clue what anyone else ordered, and didn’t know why my food would be at the opposite end of the table. Apparently, 2 of my girlfriends’ meals came with biscuits & gravy, so instead of plating them up separately they plated them up together — with the same single order size bowl of gravy… that 3 people are supposed to share??? When did Cracker Barrel become«family style?» I’ve never had that happen to me before. Generally everything is plated separately and put in front of the person who ordered it. That was strike 2. Strike 3 — she never brought my grits and didn’t remember she forgot them either. I had to ask her for them. Strike 4 — the sausage was BONEDRY! It was so dry it scratched my throat when I swallowed it and actually made me cough! The only good part about my breakfast were the biscuits & gravy. Eggs sucked. Turkey sausage sucked. Grits sucked. If I ever come back to this Cracker Barrel location, it would only be for the store, and that’s unlikely seeing as how it’s nearly an hour away from me.

I love you cracker barrel. I was a snob and didn’t try it for years, tried it and returned 3 times on a road trip. Great service and quality and consistent food.

Cracker Barrel is one of those places that you really like or really hate… I’m in the former camp… A great selection of southern /comfort food with daily specials that change(I believe Thursdays is the turkey and dressing special). The sides are all very good, but the biscuits and cornbread aren’t as good as you’d imagine for a place like this. It’s a bit expensive, but you get quite a bit of food. I usually have to take half of my plate home with me. Plus, where else can you get dinner and then buy moon pies in the lobby?

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite places for a good meal that is similar to what I would cook at home. My 6 year old loves the chicken and dumplings and that is what he gets every time we go, wife likes the chicken and rice. I love it here for breakfast. I have rarely ever had a bad meal when I go to a Cracker Barrel. My only gripe it that it is always busy and I have to fight the kids to get them out of the store, but I can live with this. I have noticed that they are starting to change some of their food such as the biscuits and cornbread are different. Please don’t change what makes me come back again and again. Your food is better that most chains and if I have to pay a little for a good meal I am more than willing. I have paid more for far worse food. Bonuses about this location is it’s right across the road from Heck Park where they have two real Vietnam era choppers on display. If you go farther down the road you are at the River Raisin National Battlefield Park, which is the only national battle field park from the War of 1812.

You just can’t go wrong at a Cracker Barrel. We’ve stopped here a few times after spending time in Ohio and have never been disappointed. First off the Chicken and Dumplings are the closest thing to home made I’ve ever had. They are delicious and you can add a side order too with almost every meal they offer. Their Fried Chicken, Country Fried Steak, Pork Chops are just good home style cooking’. The green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and cornbread are all really good eating. My only complaint is they sometimes don’t fill the side items to overflowing and have to be reminded to fill er up with Countrified goodness. Five stars and I’ll definitely be back…

I don’t know if anyone’s ever looked up at the ceiling of a Cracker Barrel, but it’s covered in suspended items, like saws, hatchets, anvils, all aiming at unsuspecting customers’ heads. Scary!
